Does it involve the rest of your life or is it confind by the gym? My son is into kudo, but he's got a simple physical practic,I think. Special soul effords are needed to have a proper fight,doesn't it?
Is become a type of hybrid martial art, not karate anymore, the katas got removed in Kudo. BUT the root is still from Kyokushin karate + Judo, with some elements of Muay thai, Boxing, Shoot wrestling, Wrestling
This is so much more of an appealing martial arts style then the cage sport of MMA! I truly believe kudo is very practical and extremely effective for street self-defense much more so than MMA! That kimono is a weapon not to mention kudo has all of the techniques and tricks that MMA has and even some tactics that MMA does not have! Kudo is excellent! Just imagine how effective you could actually be as a martial artist if you cross train Judo and kudo!
I like it too, but the Kimono thing I'm not so sure about. Nobody outside of class is going to be wearing one, and a regular T-shirt would probably just rip and tear.

It's grappling is from judo. There is no kudo without judo.

Not quite, kudo allows knees, elbows, and headbutts. Not to mention grappling, throws, slams, and chokes. It's closer to mma with weird helmets.
