I think the Expanse won't be flyable until after they add ship tractor beams (and cargo refactor) so that it has its intended functionality, and since the Expanse is crucial to Pyro, it'll be really impressive if CIG can pull-off Salvage, Repair, Cargo Refactor, Tractor Beams, more Quanta, the Corsair, the BMM, the Hull C, the Expanse, a few other unannounced ships, the 600i gold standard rework, and Pyro by IAE. Seems like a lot will happen between now and when we're flying and refining in the Expanse.
i think the tractor beams are not going to be that hard as they just need to scale up the handheld, i think the major hurdle is the cargo refactor so we could potentially see it end of year possibly. i bought one so that timeline is wishful thinking on my part lol.
I think MISC I s my favorite ship manufacturer of the UEE. Between the overall aesthetic, the industrialist roles, the cool names, and the integration of alien technology, if I ever got a computer capable of running this beast of a game, I'd definitely be a MISC guy
They got me. I bought within seconds of the page going up lol. I just really like the look and potential functionality of this ship. The price was right as well. I was expecting it to be more but the really nailed the price this time around. I know its just pixels but in comparison to other industrial ship starter offerings it was priced great out of the gate. As for when its going to be in game, I think the tractor beam has gotta be close as they can scale up the handheld tech. Probably gonna have to wait on the cargo refactor unless they just cheat it with the current magic cargo transfer system. I think the Refueling UI and Escrow system can be repurposed for raw/refined ore transfers/payments allowing the players to dynamically set the buy price for raw from prospectors. I feel like a lot of it is just slight tweaks of existing tech other than the cargo refactor which could be temporarily bypassed as i mentioned above so this ship could be out sooner than we think but thats probably wishful thinking.
I like the idea of Civ job specialists for the 'Verse. I really like the direction this ship explores, and I hope it is taken advantage of by the player base.

I actually hope they leave the window as is because I personally love the cockpits of the starfarer and freelancer but that's just my personal opinion.

From looking at the concept, I think it will be inline with the Starfarer but have more open cutouts to give it a bit more of a view.

Probably. If I think back to EVE fleet mining was always more profitable instead of trying to run every aspect of logistics yourself.
