I bought a leek from my Coles two weeks because I’ve always wanted to know what it taste like. However, I had no idea what to do with it.
    Now I kinda do.
Half moon the bad boy and add it to the pot with lamb, potatoes, carrots and mushrooms.
    See how we go.

I was taught to wash fruits and veggies BEFORE cutting into them or piercing any "skin" because the knife pushes the dirt into the food you are cutting. These are particularly dirty so a pre-rinse should have been done before any cutting and then the final rinse can be done once there is less of the leek to work with.

I just chop the greener leaves finely and sauté as any other kind of leafy vegetable.. it’s not as tough really, cabbage is tougher so I Dnt see why it’s always thrown out.
