      Thanks Erin :-) It's definitely nice to be able to buy nib units rather than whole new pens to get different writing effects. I just found that kiwipens.com has a bunch of Indian nibs (including flex nibs) in JoWo units for a really reasonable price, so...

    What a find, handmade pens to your specification. I must have almost 30 of them now. I never tire of how effortlessly the pens write. So many designs and sizes, colors, materials, nib choices, make picking just one just too difficult. The people are fantastic! Great and fast service, even to the US. I am always surprised at how beautiful the pens are when they arrive.
    Update…I don’t have over 30 pens, I now have over 110 pens. And I love all of them! So many choices - colors, materials, etc. Even custom made pens of ebonite and acrylic materials! DHL seems to be expediting things in as fast as three days! Wow! Great people to work with. Always pleasant with a yes we can perspective. We don’t see much of that in the US anymore, sadly!

      Meh... that's just part of TH-cam, unfortunately. There's always someone who isn't happy. I love my Abhimanyus! I'm assuming that your flex nib is a Kanwrite, which Ranga seems to put into JoWo nib units (probably keeps the tooling easier for them, too, just doing JoWo and Bock), so it should fit :-) Good luck!

    Excellent content and most refreshing over and beyond the usual hum-drum reviewers’ vids… that just drone on in a very obvious “scripted” same repeated fashion… just spouting the same anticipated over-rehearsed lines, saying very little yet… having taken up too much of the audience’s time, when we in hopes had wished in getting what you so graciously and yet simply delivered here… The music was so on point and relaxing… and the footage of the pens: “Hollywood”! “Subscribed!!!”

      @@thewetpen Well, I just wrote with the Samurai for the first time and as expected, it did not disappoint! I find it to be the perfect size for me. Love the new clip design and its placement. I have it inked with Diamine Earl Grey, and am liking the way it looks. I know Ranga refers to this pen as being "cream and grey", but as typical with their ebonite pens, the grey is not a "true" grey but instead, has a slight greenish tint to it. It's a great addition to my current collection of Ranga pens!

    • @thewetpen
      @thewetpen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@davecharvella4854 Truth be told, when I ordered this pen, I expected it to be even more green than it is... I had a bottle of R&K Altgoldgrun all handy to ink it up... but then it turned out to be pretty grey in comparison. I'm really glad to hear that your pen is working well for you. Now that I've had some time to think about it, I think I'm going to order the new model that looks like the Abhimanyu with a clip instead of the Samurai.

      Hello Thinh! Just so that we're on the same page, all of the pens that come with a Bock nib will NOT accept a JoWo nib unit... the units are not compatible. However, you can pull the nib from the Bock nib unit and swap in a JoWo or other nib that's the same size. The fit is "good enough", and usually perfect, but it might depend on who made the nib unit... I believe that there are official Bock units and a variety of other units that are compatible (some Chinese and some Indian).
