Just found your channel, and it's so nice to hear someone talking about 3D with some real insight - I partly say that because I've seen many people talk about how good the 3D is in G:KOTM, so it's very refreshing to hear your opinion: I've not seen the Blu-ray, but saw it in 3D Imax, and would rank it firmly amongst the least impressive post-conversions that I've seen, bland and utterly uninteresting. Hope to see more 3D reviews from you. As an aside I'm in no way a Godzilla fan, quite the opposite really, and I didn't like the film at all, same as I didn't like the Gareth Edwards film and, just to fully demonstrate that I'm not a Godzilla fan - I really enjoyed the Roland Emmerich film! But anyway, I'm totally on side with you re the 3D (didn't care for it all that much in the 2014 film either). All the best, Will.

Thanks again for the comment. I agree. The 3D in both of the recent western Godzilla films wasn't all that impressive. I go back to the comment I made in the video about the overall darkness of the films. I've found that 3D, in general, doesn't really work all that well with darker scenes. I'll compare them to another western Kaiju film with Pacific Rim. That film is so much more colorful and vibrant and therefore the 3D actually works really well. I still like both of the recent Godzilla films. They're just not movies that I would prefer to watch in 3D. Not a Godzilla fan? I get it. Godzilla films can be a bit of an acquired taste. I won't hold it against you. :) Thanks again for watching.
