You summoned so many 2025 debut authors in the comments - Me included 😂 I'm glad you're back at work, but hopefully you can juggle Ben updates and your hectic day! ❤ I'm also still working on my WIPs to publish later this year btw 🥰 Good luck with everything Diane ♥︎
Yesss! So grateful for the summoning! Excited to learn about all of my debut year friends 🥹 Thank you! Making time for working on Ben outside of my day job is proving to be a challenge but I WILL make it happen. What genre is your WIP?
I'm so excited to see your story come to life this year! It's been so fun watching your journey thus far, and I can't wait to see you accomplish publishing a whole novel! So proud of you! You're doing amazing 🌷
I recenty started watching writing vlog playlists, cause you get to really see the progress, and I just caught up with your Ben playlist. Congrats on getting to this point! It's been a journey, lol. I'm lookkng forward to see where you go from here!
Oh wow, you must have watched so many videos if you caught up on my 'Ben' writing playlist, haha! It certainly has been a journey 🥲! Thank you so much!
AHH! That's so exciting, Joey! I can't imagine trying to publish two books in one year. I'd love to do that at least once in my life, ahah. I believe in you! Keep me posted, please!💞
Stay Gold 💛 2025, writing-wise, is going to be pretty awesome. The year starting with a slow build, but it is a welcome pace because I am trying to read-through my historical romance novella and I am hoping to get it into the hands of some beta-readers while I am focused on the yearly ONC (Open Novella Contest, 20k in 12 weeks challenge). And I will get right back into it in May. Though it is not my debut year, I am hoping to be publishing that HR novella book in Q3 (still working out the details). I have to put together my publishing checklist! I am looking at August-September for a potential release date. Which means I need to get started!
OOooohh a historical romance! That sounds so lovely! I had never heard of the ONC, but that sounds so cool, I wish you the best of luck with that, be sure to keep me posted! 🥹 And I love that you're looking to publish in August-September, that's around when I'd like to publish as well. And you're right, we need to get started! We got this!
@@DianeMariee 🥰 It's an amateur contest on Wattpad. They've been doing it since 2018, but I started participating in 2022. Entries are written based on prompts and I like it because I can get a completed first draft from it.
I’m also revising. I love watching others because it’s hard rereading my story with adhd. I’m taking notes on what to look for, first the next read through. I’m looking for beta readers now but the people I know are fickle although they read, it’s different because it’s not a published work yet.
Watching authortubers that are at the same part of the process as me (and beyond) is soooo helpful! Rereading your own work can be challenging especially as you get later in the process because you've already read it so many times! It can be hard to find really great beta readers if you don't have a community of writers/readers you trust. I hope you find some soon! Joining this community and connecting with other people on here is the reason I've been able to find incredible authors/readers who are happy to be in my corner. It's been such a blessing.
I'll be publishing my 3rd book this year; the final installment in my trilogy of interconnected contemporary [diet-dark] romance. I'm very excited to wrap up the trilogy [with potential for a holiday novella in the future]. Can I ask, where did you print your manuscript for editing? In the past I've ordered proofs through KDP, but I think I'd like a spiral bound manu better.
I love this!! I can only imagine what it would feel like to wrap up a series. That’s so cool! Yes! I order my spiral bound proofs from a website called lulu.com ! I have a video or two talking about it and the process but it’s super simple and straightforward!
@@DianeMariee Yes, I'm very excited! I've loved these characters for so long, I'm thrilled to get them out there. Thank you! I'm definitely going to check that out!
Yay! I hope you love it! 🥹 I use lulu.com to print my drafts! I should have mentioned it in the video, I'll have to start leaving a link in the description because I've had a number of people ask me that question lol
I'm acc so obsessed with my novel its acc a very nice feeling!🤭 Im writing since 2023 December we can say I'm writing for 1 year and here's 2025 now I'm thinking to publish my book a few chps r left so yeah I will publish it soon as possible. I'm 13 y/o I'm scared, someone will buy my novel or not when I publish it because I'm in Pakistan and in my country no one really take interest in reading and especially English fiction novels and in Pakistan amazon kdp is also banned so idk I got so demotivated idk my project is abt like fiction, thriller and smth paranormal stuff, power, its also a lot funny I add alot funny and savage scenes making me giggle for hours it have a sad ending! idk how to explain the type I'm a very sensitive type of person I don't share my novel name or chps I kinda feel insecure sharing it😅 but here's one sentence I adore.. (he nods faintly at her words, a slight chuckle escaping his lips. he has to admit, the way she address him is both flattering and amusing "Lead the way, Miss Lazy") I adore my book smmm!! Especially the nickname that he gave her is muahh.. My main character is from Spain and the other main character is from Italy!..I mean yeahh!❤ SUPPORT MEEE EVERYONEEE
Haha, they're words that don't really add anything to the meaning/clarity of a sentence, so they can be deleted in many cases without changing the sentence at all. They're often quite vague and can even bog down/weaken the prose. Words like 'that, just, even, really, merely'-- there are a whole bunch and you can find lists of them online!
woooo it's happening I'm so excited for you!! 💛💛
Thank you so much sweet friend! I’m excited for you too! 🥹✨💞
I can't believe we've made it to debut year!! You've come so far and I'm so proud of you 😍
Ahhh, thank you so much! I can’t believe it either! 🥹✨🙌🏻
I played DND and everytime I did, I always thought, "Shit, my character is going to die today." Lol.
It’s the constant fear! Luckily, no one in my party died and we managed to defeat Tiamat so it was glorious! 🥹🙌🏻✨💞
IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING! Can't wait to read it 💛
