Sammy Hagar will be 77 this coming October 13th. Think about that for a minute. Michael Anthony turned 70 this past June 20th. Joe Satriani turned 68 on July 15th, and Jason Bonham was also born on July 15th and he is now 58. These guys are fantastic. Good for them.
Grew up on VH on cassette… Mikeys high harmonies are as integral to the VH sound as Ed’s swing… So good these songs can still be heard today… Makes me misty eyed… Good job chaps 🎸
Although many may disagree, the best iteration of VH was the Hagar years & he can still belt them out. Props to Satch & JB JR. They are killing it. So glad to MA playing bass,. It was a mistake for the brothers to let these guys go.
It's a very different energy from when Dave was there. The music Sammy and Eddie made was generally more joyful and fun. I was upset when Dave left and it took me a while to fully appreciate what Sammy brought to the group, but now I can honestly say I prefer the Sammy years.
I was 16 when this LP was launched.... and it blew up my mind.... !! Now my sons listen to these songs.... is a crossover music.... 'cause is damn goood!!
What I like about Sammy is that he doesn't dress up as if he is still back in the 80's. Normal men with a normal clothing on, we are no longer with long hair, shit most of mine is gone.
We spent the day at Saratoga Track , lite dinner at uncommon grounds then caught this show that evening , loved it . Slept in on Sunday and thought we might’ve made a baby .
Awesome. I'm so glad these guys are keeping it alive for us. Still tears me up that Edward is not with us anymore, and delivering high voltage art to us through his stacks, and with his Bro, Al. But Joe is absolutely phenomenal, and he's the guy I want to hear with Sam and Mike. They are killer! Jason's got the drums locked down. I say go as long as you can - and give us what we want to hear. Legit, old school high voltage Rock and Roll ! Hard to believe Sam can still be this good at almost 77.
Damn, that’s a solid performance. You close your eyes and listen and you can feel EVH’s spirit coming through the speaker. Great Job Satch! Michael’s bass helps keep that VH rhythm sound and great job by Bonham on drums. Van Hagar was such a solid band, the vocal harmonies were incredible and then add in all the musical components. Best sound ever… 5150 and OU812 are the best!
Back in the 80s, I had a feeling Joe would stand in for Eddie in a serious Van Halen tribute thought no one ever. Mikey still sounds the same. Crazy...
Sammy may not be able to hit the very high notes anymore but that boy can still sing and he sounds great. If you did not know how old he was you would never guess 76. Old rockers never die. Great job boys, keep rocking.
It looks like Jason Bonham is on drums since pics of his dad John Bonham. He’s played with a few other bands besides I doubt it as I only saw a few minutes of this when
1976 September 15th and 16th Eddie Van Halen whiskey go go I was there and I still love old Van Halen David Lee Roth that's Van Halen band Sammy Hagar the whole band took a curve
No $hit, Sherlock. But if you weren't already aware.. he passed away in '20. So for us hard core die hards... this is what we have left. And we're glad to have it. If you aren't into it... that's fine. Then don't listen to it.
Of course not!….and Jason is not in the same class as Alex…but hey as a tribute band with the original singer and bassist it’s ok….The Live without net version 38 years ago is unbelievable:)
What are you taking about? Satch is very superior technically, his ability to adapt styles is unique, I don't think that Eddie at the time had the technical level of Satch, obviously it was Eddie's band, but Joe is the band itself, I don't see Eddie giving birth to an album like Surfing with the alien
The world’s most expensive Van Hagar tribute band. Not pysched about. It’s about all that’s left. So if people enjoy it there are worse things I guess.
Yep. Time for you to retire you're garbage rhetoric. They don't need to retire.. they need to keep this music alive, and keep giving us die hards what we want to hear. Byt a group of legends. Go somewhere.
Agreed - they toast. People are desperate though for something - anything. If people will pay for it stuff like this will go on no matter how far past its shelf life it is. There are no Van Halen brothers there. That’s all I need to know. They’re up there exploiting Edward’s music because … they can. I think it’s lame but more power to em.

They still rock!!! I love Sammy!!
Joe's doing a great job. Go Satch!
Probably one of the best Hagar VH songs right there.
How great is to see Michael Anthony receiving the respect he deserves
Grew up on VH on cassette… Mikeys high harmonies are as integral to the VH sound as Ed’s swing… So good these songs can still be heard today… Makes me misty eyed… Good job chaps 🎸
I’m a 70’s Baby!! Grew up listening them and all the music!! Loved it!! from Louisiana!! Rock On 🤘
Although many may disagree, the best iteration of VH was the Hagar years & he can still belt them out. Props to Satch & JB JR. They are killing it. So glad to MA playing bass,. It was a mistake for the brothers to let these guys go.
DLR was the show, Sammy Ts the voice.
The brothers wasted 30 years. They could’ve written awesome music together.
I totally agree 👍
It's a very different energy from when Dave was there. The music Sammy and Eddie made was generally more joyful and fun. I was upset when Dave left and it took me a while to fully appreciate what Sammy brought to the group, but now I can honestly say I prefer the Sammy years.
Could you imagine? Would have been awesome
Sammy, Mikey and the boys keeping great music alive!
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!
I was 16 when this LP was launched.... and it blew up my mind.... !! Now my sons listen to these songs.... is a crossover music.... 'cause is damn goood!!
I was here!!! Best show in years! 🤘🏼😝🤘🏼
What I like about Sammy is that he doesn't dress up as if he is still back in the 80's. Normal men with a normal clothing on, we are no longer with long hair, shit most of mine is gone.
Mine too Brother!! Growing old gracefully I say.
They sound friggin great for senior citizens.😮 Jason is the young buck at 58..lol🍻🔥🥁🎤🎸
Satriani absolutely nails that Hagger - era VH tone.
One of the best albums ever made!
I was there!..amazing sho🤘 🎸
Me too agree it was excellent 😎😎👍👍👍🤘🤘👌👌
There's only one way to rock and that's Sammy Hàgar!!
We spent the day at Saratoga Track , lite dinner at uncommon grounds then caught this show that evening , loved it . Slept in on Sunday and thought we might’ve made a baby .
Sounds awesome!
I was there!

Bravo, great time!!!!

So pissed I'm going to miss this tour. Sammy funkin rocks
Buena Banda Sammy Hagar Satriani Bonham y Michael Antony genios!
Satch is simply amazing!
They are like a bunch of kids and having the time of their life. I love the energy they are showing. Can't wait till Nashville!
VH was incredible with Sammy as the front man.
Michael Anthony MVP!
Proof Rock n roll keeps you young.
I can only hope I can get around like these guys when I hit their age ,still kickin ass
couldnt think of a better combo than satch playing the masters riffs
Great song. .
Joe sure is getting his workout on this tour!
I couldnt be there. Thanks for the amazing upload!
Love to see these guys perform this in the UK
Thank you!
Sammy, this makes us happy!
Great show I was there near the stage it was a very hot and humid night
A nice hot, Summer Night? :D
Sammy is a God! He is the best VH version, of course! He can sing all VH songs, but the others can't do the same.
Yeah, just listen to AVH new book
They could or should have done it in a slightly lower pitch, easier for Sammy's voice.
Eddie vive a través de estos grandes músicos...
It looks like Jason Bonham is on drums since pics of his dad John Bonham. He’s played with a few other bands besides
I doubt it as I only saw a few minutes of this when
Sammy el mejor vocal de van Halen el q. Esta ahorita vale madre
1976 September 15th and 16th Eddie Van Halen whiskey go go I was there and I still love old Van Halen David Lee Roth that's Van Halen band Sammy Hagar the whole band took a curve
I was their great concert
I'm sure Eddie would approve...
without Micheal Anthony you don,t have the Van Halen harmony
Smokin Joe
Smoke
This is great. Joe isn’t Eddie and got lost a couple of times. Glad he can preform & nothing legal will come of it
LOU HOLDING THE WORLD UP the incredible hulk
Too bad Alex and Wolf can't make suprise cameos...
Kicking ass and taking names,
NOTHING like rock show at the legendary S.P.A.C. Red Rocks is cool to lol but SPAC is equally legendary.
It's 5150 time ....😂😂😂😂😂
whos face is on the drums?
His dad
JOHN BONHAM…..ya know the Led Zeppelin DRUMMER
The thunder GOD
esto es la pata de pollo haciendo Van Halen
Not the same without Eddy

As a gifted baker...Satriani should retire guitar playing and start baking cookies for inner city kids.
Wow that is a pretty serious VH tribute cover band.
clearly satch is not in the same class as king edward
Of course not!….and Jason is not in the same class as Alex…but hey as a tribute band with the original singer and bassist it’s ok….The Live without net version 38 years ago is unbelievable:)

Time to retire
Tough to be you
Better than anything Roth ever sang live… ever!
Yep. Time for you to retire you're garbage rhetoric. They don't need to retire.. they need to keep this music alive, and keep giving us die hards what we want to hear. Byt a group of legends. Go somewhere.
