I served a mission in Japan and remember all the wonderful spiritual experiences and feelings very vividly. Spirituality, God and Religion is such an interesting and passionate topic.
My life has been such a wonderful journey of discovery, and I have found so much to gain by studying these topics. My life is truly enriched because of light and truth.
I encourage you to leave no stone unturned in your quest for truth.
My advice? Learn what truth is, and seek to discern the patterns of truth. Here is what I have found so far:
Truth is not afraid of being discovered and examined thoroughly, rather it is darkness and deception that hides behind the shadows -- in hopes of never being "found out".
Truth can be sliced and analyzed in 100 different ways and it will always remain true.
Falsehood on the other hand can only be sliced a few different ways before it becomes increasingly obvious that it is false.
People who hold false beliefs avoid criticism and debate, and tend to avoid sharing their experiences publicly because they know their opinion is not well founded.
Truth tends to fit all the facts, while falsehood only fits a portion of all the facts.
Truth is independent of belief, social status, tradition, feelings, experiences or culture.
Falsehoods that persist for long periods of time (generation after generation) tend to have a propagation mechanism that takes advantage of human purposes, fears and desires.
Truth cannot contradict itself or reality.
As knowledge is gained, truth and falsehood both become more self-evident. Therefore knowledge plays a major role in discernment.

So you went from one big lie to an even bigger lie? And you feel better about it? Following science doesn't do anything but lead you to God. GOD'S fingerprint is in his creation. You can do science because of God. You need to turn to the Jesus of the Bible, not the Book of Mormon. That's the real Jesus and God's revelation of himself to mankind. You've fallen for the devils trick. Don't be deceived. The bible has historical and archeological proof of its truth and has stood the test of time. It is just as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago. You are happy, because you feel as if you can live your life as you please and pay no consequences, but sin has to be dealt with, and God does not pardon sin. However to use your own words, it gets better. Jesus is the answer to the sin problem. He lived a life you could not live. He died a death that you and I deserve, yet he rose again as he said he would and overcame death so that all who put their trust and belief in him could be forgiven. I pray you find the truth, the truth that is only found in Jesus. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Me." God bless

"Right off the bat, I stopped judging people..." You NAILED that one buddy. It's hard to put into words that strange piece of mental programming -- and how it feels when its gone. It's like a knife that you've lived with stuck between your ribs your whole life, and then, suddenly, it's gone! It feels so much better, and I genuinely started to learn about REAL Love after I stopped judging my fellow humans and started wanting to accept each of them.

Neal Bertelsen... So , how is your life in this confused world without the hope of all Christians that Jesus is coming back soon and that He will fix things up? Your life here is of no meaning if you do not know Jesus as your Savior. Are you looking for satisfaction using drugs or something else to fill your life? Most humans are made to have hope in something better that can only be filled by knowing Jesus. . What is the meaning of your life?

So sad to say that we Christians tend to be judgemental and legalistic. Which is why many people are very offended and put off by Christians.

@@RB-zh1eqHey, so I know this is late but I feel that I should clarify a statement you made about Jesus' existence. Jesus is regarded as a historical figure by historians of all backgrounds including atheist. This is due to the historical text found outside of the gospel. Writings of Cornelius Tacitus a roman senator and historian who wrote about Emperor Nero's persecution of christians for their belief in "Christus, the founder of the name, was put to death by Pontius Pilate, procurator of Judea in the reign of Tiberius.” (Klein 2021) Tacitus was NOT a follower of Jesus Christ, but was a historian of 116 AD. Roman governor Pliny the Younger also writes about Jesus , as he mentions christians worshiping the man as a God. They would “sing hymns to Christ as to a god.” (Klein 2021)
Suetonius, another Roman historian also mentions Jesus. He wrote about Emperor Claudius expulsion of jews that were "making constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus.” (Klein 2021.) Lastly we have Flavius Josephus, a jewish historian, who although many of his writings are placed under question due to possible tampering, the majority of Historians still agree on the acknowledgment of Christ's existence by him.
All of this I found in the article below:
      www.history.com/news/was-jesus-real-historical-evidence
In addition, I would argue that although the gospels were written by Jesus' followers they are still historical writings of Jesus Christ, which can be accounted as eyewitness reports. Lee Strobel makes a great case for this in his book " The Case For Christ."
I hope this clears up a few things.

I tell you that view is rather bleak , hopeless and lacks any real meaning to life; surely you must have on some occasion have questioned "what's the point of it all?" I also like to point and you may have noticed that neither squirrels nor gorillas nor crocodiles nor crickets nor any other species has any type of courts nor police officers or any type of justice system; and yet somehow humans do. If we are been created through chance and randomness why of all creatures do humans have a moral code and sense of right and wrong and not be like all the other creatures on this earth. I make the claim this is reason because we ie the humans were created in the very image of A SUPREME BEING and HE HAS put right and wrong in our dna and therefore make the claim that since we have such values and a moral compass there must be A MORE SUMPREME BEING greater than we are where they come from .

God bless ya, Chris! One of the most thoughtful and interesting “ex-Mormon” accounts. A few of my favorite lines: 7:10 “This church is either true, or false, and if it’s false I will leave it...” That’s courage, bro. And 14:58 “Truth doesn’t contradict itself. Truth doesn’t contradict reality...either the BOM is true or it’s false...” Yep, right. And how kind you are in calling a spade a spade that Joseph Smith is a “scam-artist....fraudster....con-artist...” (15:15).
So many other good points, like “selectively forgetting,” the glass of water example, Book of Abraham fallacies, a cautionary word about testing the validity of a book by one’s feelings, the absence of DNA evidence for the BOM, the plagiarized errors of the KJV showing up in the BOM. Well done. You’re a good teacher. I learned a lot.
We celebrate with you in your post-LDS freedom & happiness.
An observation/opinion of my own: Mormonism is a counterfeit of the Real Thing. Mormonism isn’t a counterfeit of a fairy tale. So there really is a Real Thing.
    God bless.

We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. So very true. I have tried to simplify certain sciences to some people and it is like showing monkeys how to play with fire. Tried explaining what a Milankovitch cycle is and the dynamics, importance, and effects of it in biosciences; again like teachings monkeys mechanics. Why does a monkey need to know mechanics? Well, they don't. So I stopped. I wasn't attaching a doomsday theory or a conspiracy to it so it was not well received by the monkeys. Tried explaining how this cycle in tandem with lunar cycles works through space-time and the relativity of time thereof. It lacked stories of fire and brimstone though so the monkeys couldn't use it to keep the chimps in fear of eternal suffering from a loving God. The monkeys cared not that I tried sharing my science with them as they would rather oh and ah and call things phenomena and argue over piety.

this was wonderful to watch for me. I have been raised catholic my whole life and have been in a 3 year relationship with my boyfriend who is LDS. I have investigated the LDS church for a year or so and things just dont add up for me. For example, direct contradiction to the bible, God was once a man and worked is way up to become God, there is the ability to become like God, temple marriage is necessary to receive the highest level of heaven etc.. These things just dont make sense to me but of course they do to my boyfriend who was raised in the church. He is leaving for his mission in june and i just want to help him to look at things from a different perspective and not be so narrow minded.i know no matter how hard i try to show him that the book of mormon or even his church isnt true he has to find out for himself just like chris. Thank you so much for this video. I was considering maybe converting to LDS but now that i see and heard with my own eyes i know that it is not. There should totally be a support group/online chat for exmormons and investigators and even current LDS members, i think that would help tremendously. Also, any advice would be much appreciated. Wonderful video again :)

"There is something feeble and a little contemptible about a man (or woman) who cannot face the perils of life without the help of comfortable myths. Almost inevitably some part of him/her is aware that they are myths and believes them only because they are comforting. But he/she dares not face this fact! Moreover, since he/she is aware, however dimly, that his opinions are not rational, he/she becomes furious when they are disputed."

Yes. But he was just a white man in an era when racism was common place. Hardly surprising. Any white men saying something even a little positive about blacks at the time was ahead of his time. I prefer to judge him according to this frame of reference. Brigham Young was certainly behind Russell judging from his teachings regarding blacks. Shall I quote him instead?

You misunderstand me. I am no mormon. Bertrand Russell taught the killing of most of the world's population at Oxford as part of the malthusian solution. His ideas now reside in the elite, like prince phillip who wants to be reincarnated as a deadly virus to kill most of the people on this world.

I have not read Russell extensively, but I have read him. Maybe you could provide me with a reference? However, I find whether or not he said those things unimportant in regards to the quote about religion because I prefer to evaluate and critically examine each idea individually. Russell had a great many ideas that I have examined and agree with, however, there are some that I do not. Therefore I do not find it acceptable to judge an idea based on the character of the person who said it. This is called as hominem. Religious prophets and leaders who claim to be in direct communion with god is a different story when it comes to ad hominem and faith in them.

I never connected with the mormon religion and always thought maybe something was wrong with me. Fast forward, JOSEPH SMITH IS A FALSE PROPHET and has led so many LDS members away from the true God. Chris I loved listening to everything you had to say until you got to the part about believing in science and how the devil is a boogie man. In the Bible it says that 'My people perish for a lack of knowledge'. Joseph Smith and many prophets were and are being used by the enemy to led God's children to hell. Reject the religion not Jesus. Jesus was crucified on that cross for everyones sins that is a fact. Jesus saves and I pray that you build that relationship with him.

I love the fact that Chris hits the nail on the head when talking about praying and looking for an answer. About thirty-five years ago I was at a branch meeting where blatant lies were told but accepted as truth by everyone, and they talked about how the Spirit was strong. I was the one who was the mischief maker. I wondered how they could all feel the Spirit when I knew that lies had been told. And so I wondered if I had ever really felt the Spirit, or was it purely psychological, or emotional? That's when I started to realise something was very wrong and shortly after that I left the church. Of course, since then I've discovered the real history of the church and the story behind the so-called Book of Abraham, so I now know intellectually that the church is not true. But thirty-five years ago all I knew was that something was very wrong through my own experience. I found Chris's video to be incredibly uplifting and inspiring.

This was excellent! The way you discussed testing the water in multiple ways to know that it is water was brilliant!
My advice for people is to not trust simply their eyes. Why do we trust our eyes when they are so distant and deceiving? Also, when I pray, I don't pray like most people. Why do people pray the way they do? Its so impersonal and unfair to God. We beg him for a new car, a new house, a better and higher paying job... Worldly things! We can't give God our shopping lists and expect him to provide us with things that are our responsibility to provide for ourselves. God will bless you with better things, true, and he will perform miracles for you, but have you earned them? Sure, we may pray less selfishly, "Please feed the starving children in Africa," but never, "How can I feed the starving children in Africa?" Or we say, "Please heal my neighbor from his illness," but never, "As you heal my neighbor's illness, what can I do to ease his suffering and improve the way he feels spiritually?" Or the big one, "Lord, bring us world peace," instead of "Lord, how can I help bring your love and peace to the people of this world? For through you, all things are possible." Why do we worry about the things we need and want and selfishly bring them to the Lord? God knows the things you need and want. He will provide. He clothes the lillies of the field and feeds the animals. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given unto you (Matt 6:25-34). Talking to God is like talking to a friend on the telephone. So why do we talk on and on, begging for things, which is rude to do to a friend, then when we are done, we hang up the phone, not giving God a chance to speak? So I don't pray like that. I instead use a different technique. I "meditate" on the spirit of God. I enter a very quiet, private place and relax, bringing myself to a meditative state. I don't get on my knees and fold my hands as its too uncomfortable. God doesn't care what position we are in when we pray. He once told me, "Lay flat on the ground, with your face down. Stretch out your arms as if you were nailed to a cross. Put a Bible on your head, on each hand and on your feet. Then pray." It was so uncomfortable I couldn't concentrate, and I said, "This is too hard." He said, "And completely unnecessary. Form of the body means nothing, even a position that looks completely respectful and submissive. Instead, humble your spirit, focus only on not your desires, as I know them all, but focus on me and what I need and want you to do for me, because these things you know nothing of." When I meditate, there is a HUGE INFLUX OF MANY SPIRITUAL VOICES! Yes, I hear the voices of angels and demons, even the Devil himself. The trick I have had to learn is how to weed through the voices, and ignore any that preach to me anything that glorifies the flesh or a worldly, sinful spirit. Usually these voices are loud and attention-grabbing, and very influential and desirable to your human spirit. Sometimes they can make me believe them for a while, until I hear something from that voice that I can tell is not that of God, and his spirit of love for others, not simply oneself. So I work to find the quietest voice in the crowd, the one that seems to speak of things I do not understand at first. God never yells, even when he is upset at us. He is constantly in a peaceful loving mood. I listen to that voice and concentrate only on this. I don't speak until God has made his point. If I ask questions, he answers them. But beware, evil spirits know that you have found the right voice, and attempt to distract you with something worldly. A song or joke, or something else. You must ignore these. God won't stop the conversation completely if the song gets stuck in your head. He will simply pause and continue when you pay attention to him again. Remember 1st Corinthians 13 (whole chapter). Everything that it says Love is, God is. Everything it says Love is not, God is not. Learn and memorize this in your heart, and you will truly understand who God is. "I am that I am" means "I am who I am because of what I do. I have many Names, because my Names reflect my personality. My Word is my truth, my promise, and my everlasting covenant." You will know that perfect voice when you find it, because it is so very different from the rest of them. Learn from God. He will teach you secrets within and outside of scripture that will blow your mind. I know this from experience! He will guide you to that duty that is his desire, not your own. Your motto in life will become: "My will is not my own. It is God's will. For when my will forever becomes God's will, whenever I have a will of my own, I trust that it becomes God's will as well." However, we may still sin, as we are imperfect humans, but God's love and forgiveness make him perfect in goodness and righteousness. Knowing this and following him and obeying him will make us more like him. God bless you all.

i have been visited by mormans and witnesses many times. Every visit i make the same deal; they watch and listen to Eric in this video and after i attend a one hour service at thier temple or church. so far 4 have sat througg the length of his video and i honored my part and went to thier service respectfully. since last summer i know have 5 new friends that have left their faiths and a few others that are seriously considering it not soley on this video but the doubts and realizations they have had since hearing its message. the hardest part about finding out that the truth you hold as absolute is false is discovering anything new and meaningful, but i promise it is possible and infinitely more fulfilling.

We came to know Jesus from the bible and the prophets that testified of him, and yet we also believe the prophets concerning other prophecies of him and other prophets and the restoration of the kingdom of God....
We do NOT discard Jesus but in fact we testify of him, the more!
The BoM is that testimony and binding witness to the "bible" and the prophets...Amos 3/7
As fopr your personal opinion of Joseph Smith Jnr being a fake, thats your personal opinion, your free to have it.....Just like me having my personal opinion of you and your faithlessness on the bible and its teachings and prophecies.
I invite you,Simbarashe Zimuto....To read about another witness of JESUS CHRIST,not another Gospel but witness of him from another tribe of Israel which was separated from Israel and Judah

There is absolute incontrovertible archaeological evidence that the gospels are not genuine accounts and the rest of the new testament has no veracity as a valid document. Jesus probably existed, but he was most likely just like Joseph Smith, a religious leader who probably bought into his own hype.

Both people are recorded as being alive am I wrong?.....Both had recorded historys.....Both were considered great men with heavenly knowledge that no one else had at or for those times....Both are recorded going to other cities and doing miracles....
You claim to no veracity as a valid document...is that just your personal opinion?....Because I can assure you alot disagree with your account....like me

    • @SequentiallyCompact
      @SequentiallyCompact 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It has no veracity because no original document of any book of the new testament exists, or at least is known to exist. In addition, the accounts of the ministry of Jesus are all non-contemporary, being written well after the fact and at least two of them being derivative of a missing text known as the Q document.
Joseph Smith can at least be verified to exist through strong historical evidence. The same can not be said for Jesus. I believe he did exist, but can't substantiate this through any peer reviewed research. It's merely a conclusion reached through what I've read and studied, and is what I believe most likely to be true. Nevertheless the lack of substantive evidence is a well known historical and archaeological reality. So no, it's not a personal opinion, or an opinion of any sort. It's a conclusion based on reasoning and examination of the findings of valid historical research.

    • @nephiman1291
      @nephiman1291 10 ปีที่แล้ว

It has veracity because simply the New Testament RECORD'S ACTUAL PEOPLE FOR THOSE TIMES....
Cæsar Augustus.....Pilate.....Temple of Herod....a great famine was prophecied.
I agree with your assumption that NO original N/T books are in existence as far as I know.....Yet Christ said in John 14/26, that thru the holy ghost all THINGS WHATSOEVER HE SAID, WILL BE BOUGHT BACK INTO THEIR MEMORY......
Because its not written down, doesnt mean it doesnt exist or not recorded else where?

He gave a blessing with other church leaders to a man in hospital that he will be okay and will return to his family, instead the guy died the next day.
The wife was devastated. She had accepted her husband would die as the doctors told her, then she was given hope he would recover. It never happened.

Your story was truly touching, I commend you for your bravery! I can relate to your story from an evangelical Christian perspective. It's a similar story although I came about it through a more gradual process. I always had a bad taste in my mouth about certain Christian beliefs, like everyone's going to hell unless they say the sinner's prayer, and the Sodom and Gomorrah story, things like that. And the way we judged other people for not believing what we believed - that attitude of superiority I found distasteful and arrogant, even when I still believed what I was being told. I was racked with guilt in college over totally natural sexual urges and finally decided to stop beating myself up about it, and test the waters of normal living for a while. It wasn't until years later when my brother got me to watch the movie Religulous and my beliefs about God really started to be challenged. Fast forward, I share a love & passion for science and truth and I'm happy you found your truth !!

Unfortunately, science is a vehicle to get you from point A to B... and a fair amount of sciencetist with their opinions of the Truth varies, and then they spouts out opinions but not scientific facts, and that's where we have problems!!!
Same in churches because with our humanity, we often interpret Scriptures to our own liking...
TRUTH IN CHRIST JESUS OF THE HOLY BIBLE ALONE IS ABSOLUTE!!!

I wonder how many LDS people have watched this video. I remember putting my bias aside and just wanting truth. It was hard to take information honestly and be genuine about how I assessed the church. For me, this meant taking doctrines and promises which I had valued more than anything and poured myself into and created myself by and putting it all on the scales of truth- and then removing my hand from steadying the scales of truth. I was stuck until I allowed myself to acknowledge that if it wasn't true, it was not valuable and had no power to hurt me. My emotional attachment had to be checked- in fact, I recognized that if it wasn't true, it was garbage with a mirage of value. My family doesn't understand what it means to steady the scales and they do not fairly assess evidence because of their bias which they call faith. Truth should not fear investigation. The story about your brother sounds so painful. Thank you for sharing.

This is story of an intelligent man, but unfortunately brainwashed since childhood, who began thinking for himself. That is amazing! Congratulations to him :)
I was brought up, forced to think for myself, so it was easy for me to come to the same conclusions as him. When I asked questions about life, where we come from, if there is a god and so on, my parents and family just told me, that they didn't know, and that I had to deal with it, one way or another, but that science at least could give me some answers about, what we could see with our own eyes. I have read about different religions, to see if I could find any truth in them, and with all of them I came to the same conclusion, that they contradict themself, and that they contradict logic and common sense, and most of all, they contradict science.
So I have just accepted that there are certain things I dont know, and never will find out, but I am sure that non of the existing religions are not even close to the truth. I think that the real truth is far greater than what any human can think of. Science gives us hints about how fantastic and complicated the universe is, and it cannot be simplified into a religion, written by humans in a book of about 2000 pages or so.
So why do I live? because I find it nice to exist, and I love life, and everything it offers me. I also have some kind of a survivor instinct, like most other people. What do I think happens when we die? I have no clue, but I guess it will be more or less the same as what happened before I was born, so it cannot be too bad.

    • @perrma1
      @perrma1 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree that most religions contradict each other. That was the exact premiss that caused Joseph Smith to seek out God. Before you get mad about that, I too have read a few books and have been around a while. I worked with an atheist everyday for two years while he took potshots at my faith and stated his view point. I can simply say that God and good differ by one letter in spelling. If you look at the good in the world and accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative you will find it is a pretty good place over all and I personally don't believe that that came about by chance or evolution. It is not what you know but who you know. If you know God even a little it will lead you to conclude that, he alone is the source of all knowledge. The scriptures simply put you in the frame of mind to receive truth. God is the only source of all truth. Sure there are somethings in the Bible that may be hard to reconcile, but overall, there is a standard for conduct and honesty that will but you in the frame of mind to see the good and the truth around you. Seek out God and truth, because the true God is a God of truth and he will lead you to all truth. Issac Newton and many others were devoutly religious, including Leonardo da Vinci who is reported to have had an IQ of 220. Contrary to popular believe, great scientists were not all atheists and being atheist is not the ultimate attitude for objectivity. The belief that something can be done and something will happen is good and of God.

*Jess* So, you're "out" and your parents/family knows. I would guess that you brought a number of things that would support your change of mind/heart, & I'm sure they're aware that much is available to a/one to search out on their own, but what is your relationship with them? Mormons don't shun like JWs, but has your departure from Mormonism hampered your relationship in any sense?

  • @Skibanger7
    @Skibanger7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

This is amazing. I've been watching exmo lex and love her to death but as a male ex Mormon this hit harder. Mormonism is extremely patriarchal. I know exactly what exmo lex is talking about but can't relate on the same level sometimes (understand it completely but can't relate) since males/females have different roles so it's refreshing to feel a male exmo's side. It's so difficult dealing with what the church has done. You get past it but you'll almost always get a gloomy/frustrating or even angry feeling everytime you think of the church, because of what the church did and is doing to people.
I never went on a mission, wasn't ever religious, but grew up in the church and went through it all (church, fhe, mutual, efy, etc...). None of my immediate family was really that into it but every cousin, aunt/uncle, and grandparents were/are super Mormon. I still feel slightly shamed (not shunned at all, but shamed) around any of them. The love is there for sure, don't get me wrong but not right at the same time. Just feels guilty when you get the "side-eye" feeling from them. I constantly have this thought in the back of my mind of "I feel like I love you more than you love me."

What caused you to leave the Christian faith? Did you ask Jesus in your heart to be your Lord and Savior and get baptized? Or did you just go to church, believe what you were told with no divine experiences, pray, and maybe read the the Bible because you were told you need to be to make it to heaven. There is a difference between becoming a follower of Jesus by praying the sinner’s prayer and getting baptized on your own free will and the legalistic form of Christianity that makes anyone in this boat feel that they can never do enough to please God and receive His salvation to make it into heaven. The Christian who is a follower of Jesus and believes in the saving grace of Jesus Christ knows that their salvation is based on not only repenting with you fall but also and most importantly in Jesus’ death and resurrection that was done to pay the penalty for all our sin. Not assuming I know your experiences in the Christian church, some Christian churches are very legalistic in nature and cause some Christians to seeking to follow God to feel that they aren’t good enough and fearful of losing their salvation. Legalistic Christian churches are not based on the saving grace of Jesus Christ but on doing things and following a set of rules because you feel like you have too.
A good passage I read today about the lost sheep is this: Luke 15:1-32
This passage illustrates God’s love for you right were you’re at. God bless!

Chris discovered the truth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not a restored Church of Jesus Christ. It is an organization built upon one lie after another. But this video also demonstrates another very important point. That being, when people like Chris learn the truth, we need to help him, and other Mormons who leave the LDS Church, to find a good Christian church in their area, where they can discover the true and living God. The last few minutes of this video, hearing Chris speak of his atheism, broke my heart. Chris is just as lost when he made this video as he was when he was a member of the LDS church. :- (
Chris, I admire you for your courage to look into the real history of your church and the Book of Mormon. And I don't blame you one bit for being angry at "organized religion"! It certainly can be corrupt, as you have learned. But as a friend, I want to tell you, there is no life, and there is no hope, without Jesus Christ. A real, personal, relationship with the true and living God. You *can* have that. I know you have been taught that the Holy Bible has been corrupted (that is a lie from satan), and that "all the other churches are wrong, their Professors corrupt!". That is not true, either, my friend. Research the topic of the reliability of the translation and transmission of the ancient text to our Bibles today, as you did the LDS church. Do your research. I began on that journey when I was your age, and I can tell you, we have all we need to have a real, and personal relationship with the real God and Jesus Christ. I do, and wouldn't trade it for anything on this earth.

to find a good Christian church in their area, where they can discover the true and living God.
Hello michael: I am in Colombia. I belong to the LDS Church. I am grateful that I belong to the true Church of Jesus. Those you say , go and find a good church does not corrrespond to
the reality. Those words belong to a false doctrine of Jesus. Tha is the difference of the LDS Church. Is different. Very different to the "good Christian church" you say. No exist that "good Christian " on this earth. (excuse my English if I get wrong words). But that good church does not exist. Why ? simply. It is because they do not believe that God Talks to us again.
That good church is not the church of Jesuschrist. That good church belongs to the men. Is created by men the same way you are creating that idea of a good church. I see all christian churches i here in Colombia and I am very admired how special is the LDS Church. Of course is not easy, but people that stay faithful in in the LDS are very blessed. People that loose the testimony of the LDS Church, that loose the testimony of Book of Mormon are in the wrong way .While I write you I try to understand the guy that is talking here and I only hear a wrong testimony. He need to suffer a lot to understand the true. Is very best do not loose the testimony of the true churc of Jesus. See you.

Perhaps I can help you to find Faith Alone
Jesus Christ was never about which Church to Join.
It is about surrendering to his mercy and grace. Following Him.
Those of us that follow Christ are his Church
If doesn't matter what church you go to. But I would recommend a church that is Holy Bible only.
Read the New Testament skip the canons for now unless you never studied them
I recommend begin at Acts and stop at Revelation
You can Google commentary on parts you need to get more information on chapter or verse
      Just remember
      It's Faith Alone
      Grace Alone
      And Christ Alone
      Hope that helps
      Peace
