The AC can do that itself, if you set the temperature to 22ﾟC it will turn off its compressor when the room temperature reaches to 22. But it won't wait for the room temperature to rise to 26 to restart again😅

Well you are right but that feature is not completely useless because the temperature where the ac is located is different from where you are so the clock senses the temperature from your location
And some old acs and some cheap acs are bad at detecting temp

Not a specific place but it has to be in line of sight with the gadget you are controlling. So, probably like in the same room or hall as the device.

But when you are outside the house, the clock can still turn on devices or trigger it.
Or basically you can set up a timer to turn off the device after a said time period. Although, as I said in the video, if the clock was a bit bigger and backlit, it would have been a good device to recommend.
