Recently bought this bike for my wife. She was having a hard time in tight places with her 2017 Streetglide. This bike fits her perfectly - lower, lighter, and much easier to ride. Added a windshield and custom - made white leather saddlebags. Beautiful! Wish they would re-locate that damn license plate....
I love this bike...I really do, and I've ridden it. I've spent the rest of my time wondering how HD justifies nearly the same price for it as the Soft Tail which has the windshield, has the cruise control, has the saddle bags, has the two-up seat, has, has, has. It just gets me angry.
I'm not a Harley guy but this is a beautiful bike. Reminds me of the Harleys I saw growing up. If this were mine I'd do 2 things: put a higher springer seat on it & move the floorboards back for comfort & handling.
So, this model, and others going away....Is too bad....But, Harley Davidson jumped the shark when they came out with the mil-8 engine......... Is too big a motor to be air cooled, and with the cam tensioner pads, and light pressure oit ring, and other design flaws make this engine intended to fail at a young age..... People just too much fed up shelling out tons and tons of money for a bike which is basically designed to be a money pit to anyone buying one........ Further, not only is Harley over 9 billion in debt ; as of Q4 2019, but asking for an additional 1.3 billion in cash from banks of shore.... This on top of closing down 3 production plants to date, these announcements, these announcements just signs on the road leading to the end of the road for Harley-Davidson..... .... as a side note, after I pulled the spring loaded cam tensioner(s) and pads from my 99 twin cam, this motor still running ; and that was 10K miles ago........
