thank you so much for helping our family! i found you on youtube and instantly gave my husband your number. you’re an excellent worker! once again thank you for your help! 😁
He did good work, but make sure you follow up on your well head and atleast get it properly sealed up !
Can you share his phone number?
The owner`s reaction when the pressure gauge start`s rising is great....Oh Lord have mercy.......5 kids and no water is a bad time... Nice job.
the work you do is awesome and never gets old, much appreciate your knowledge and ability to share, you're a good man!
wow 1978 pump, I cannot believe it lasted that long! miracles do happen I guess. 😲
Thanks H2o, your video help me with my pump problem. Your content is really helping people out. May God bless you and your family. 😊
Very kind of you to help this gentleman and his family out when they're in a bind. I couldn't let those 5 kids go without water. Pump installed when I was 17. Wow. That lasted awhile. Thanks for the content.
You are a decent man for doing that job.
Hard work + great skill = Kung Fu. The translation is poor for English, but true Kung fu is hard work plus great skill. This man has that plus the attitude to balance it out. Blessed is this man and those in his life. ❤
@@TheHappinessOfThePursuit 🌟 best comment I've ever received! 🌟
I bought a Grundfos pump because of the videos! I bought hardware from H2O mechanic .. Never get tired of these great videos.. minus the fire ants! Excellent!
You are a good man to help out a family in need!
I always enjoy watching a professional work. Nice complete job in record time. 👍🏻
Good Job. You' re Father taught you well. The customer was glad to see you im sure and you treated him right. That's the best advertizing you can do by word of mouth.
You did a great job for those folks! Now they have a new pump and lots of water! Thank you for the video!!!!
Well, I bet the client was very appreciative and so am I for this video! :)
Easy to do for a PRO !! Very good content. Hoping you, the family you helped, and the business continue with good success!! Sub'd, and glad I did!!
Man, I learn so much from you! Especially the importance of doing a job right. Thanks
Great video and it was nice to see you helping out one of your subs on your day off. I love your videos and I’m learning a lot about well pumps and drilling. I’m in the process of getting a new well drilled at my cottage in several weeks. Thanks for all your great videos and how you explain everything.
Another great video and great customer
Had the same issue putting a few LED lights up in a buddies body shop. 2 new 240 breakers put in each side of the panel. One side 240 the other 120. A neutral was exposed somewhere on another circuit of that leg. Your Dad was wise to teach you to clean up better than you found it. 💯
Everybody who has a well should watch this video weather you have a problem or not. Good job young man your dad taught you well.
It’s almost as though the invoice and money are way secondary to human kindness - helping your fellow human when they are in a bind. A-plus to you. Good job braving the heat, humidity and bugs. Even editing when you get home - not easy. My Dad too taught us to clean up behind ourselves - well done! These videos can pass all that on to the next generation. Have a great weekend!
The invoice & money are secondary. I won't disclose what I charged him but its probably 50% less than most would charge.
He was in a tight spot, & I always try to be fair when I feel people are being genuine.
But he did allow me to film, so that was a plus, & he said he'll recommend me to everyone he knows in the future with water problems.
An Act of altruism sometimes is the best thing to do & Doing Good almost always comes full cicle.
Agreed - I felt like that drop in temperature and the breeze was a gift from up above. I find that cleanup after the job is done is so satisfying - it is another layer of gift we give to a fellow human.
@@h2omechanic That's the best free advertising money can buy. It will probably yield ten fold in the future.
That’s awesome of you taking your Saturday to go help someone that says everything about you 👍
Great job. 👍😎
When you checked for 120 volts to ground, remember that the switch body wasn’t grounded. That caused the low number.
I hope you explained to the customer that the surface water getting in needs to be corrected and the current system has unsafe water.
I told him the well needed to be raised in the future. Not sure if I edited that out or not. I typically cover all my bases, alot gets cut out during the edit.
I agree, No mater what is going on between the pressure switch and the well (except a short) you will read 120V from each leg to ground.
Interesting the differences in well construction. Here in the frozen north we have to use pitiless adapters to keep piping below frost level, only the wiring goes up and over.
Nice pump replacement walkthrough and good advice about not to over tighten the filter housing. Certainly got their money's worth out of the old pump.
Why can't he just dig a small trench around it?
@@kevinroberts9394 Thanks 👍
@@tomschmidt381 While true that 120 volts would be measured from either leg to GROUND, he was measuring the voltages to a piece of metal. The input ground from the breaker panel was cut. There is PVC pipe to the left and right of the pressure tank, so there is no metallic connection through the plumbing. So the whole pressure tank assembly is electrically "floating", i.e. NOT GROUNDED. Severe electrocution hazard if either power leg should get connected to the tank metal parts. Add wet floor, five kids, write your own story.
@h20, go back and fix this?
Please!
Excellent job!!!!
I would have you work here if you were in N. Florida.
You’re a good man. Thanks for sharing this.

You never know the gems you find on TH-cam but you are one of them
It's always great to watch a real pro at work on youtube. Not that many out there.
40.2k subs 🎉
I love your videos living in Missouri Ozarks 1st time I've ever been on a well I learned so much from every 1 of your videos and it was so kind of you to help out this guy I live alone with my dog but with children a wife I can imagine how hard it was for him when he's well stopping thanks again you're a gentleman
Nice job!! I'm sure the customer was very happy to have water again!! That is something that the pump has been running since install back in 78!! Thanks for sharing!!
Love to see this. You are blossoming and growing. Keep up the good work. You finally used a bag of shock! Usually it's you putting a little bit in. But the little bit was at the end! And they got a grundfos. What more could you ask for? A PVC top connector :-p
13:40 is hilarious. Drops phone on ground. Ow got bit by an ant 🤣 .
You've got great content and I've learned a lot, (now I know how my Jet Pump well works), watching your videos. This video was awesome! It really shows your knowledge and skills. I was thinking at the beginning you'd be there most of the day but when you broke down your time at the end, wow you're good!
Firm believer that good things will come to you for going above and beyond
Total professionalism
Excellent!! You did a great job of story telling this job. I'm also impressed with your one handed operation while filming. Your customer service is outstanding. It's rare in this day and age to get same day service on a weekend!
That was a very old pump. Nice of you to come out on a Saturday and fix the problem in record time. Neighbor down the street was a 'well driller / pump ' installer. He had lots of galvanized straight sticks (2 inch) laying in a large pile. I use to buy some to install CB antenna on. (used but in good shape). Used the old style slow drilling machines. Take care and God Bless
Wow you did all that and I can even get a phone call back from local company's.
I enjoyed this video very much. You are a compassionant person and you help your customers in every way that you can. You have exsellent work habits and you are truly a professional at what you do. Keep Up the great work!!!
13:43 😂😂😂 that was so comical with the camera drop and distant voice 😅
I don’t even need a well, but these videos make me want one just to troubleshoot it.
Great job, I like your VID 🙂 Amazing age for that pump ...
In this case, the fact he was local, and could see your quality of work before even contacting you likely got a great customer, and one who will share it with others and get you more customers
Job well done. Love the clean up tip after the job is finished....
Hope you spot the yellow handle pliers on the ground. 😅
Really like your pump puller! ours is a car rim and its so heavy, i would buy one just like that if possible lol
In late 80s early 90 I helped my grandpa pull the old pump and install a new one. I now own the house and am anticipating having to replace the pump at any time. I recall that we used 20 foot joints of PVC, maybe schedule 80, I wish that I could remember how deep we hung the pump, 150’ seems to stick in my head but it’s been a long time. I have looked through all the records online but can’t find my well to see the actual depth of the well.
Looking at the thumbnail for this video, I was thinking Damn! That guy's got one hell of a prosthetic leg there.....
Thank you friend for all the dedication and knowledge sharing, you did it in a very short period of time really.. Just one feedback, please wear all the PPE's for safety of your hands and body! This will inspire viewers too.
You Sir are a gentleman and a scholar. Watching from Australia, electrics are a bit different but its still excellent to learn. We use mainly tank water here, bore/water is to brackish to use.
I can’t believe that was actually able to get water in the pump with that intake so plugged wow if it was my well I would took your recommendation and made the casing taller and stop the water from being able to get in from the top great job buddy thanks for sharing
Excellent job. Reminded me of working on the farm growing up. Dad said to always clean up as you go and when you finish.
cleaning as you go, make sense some times and for certain projects, otherwise it can be a big time waster. on a farm where the work may be spread all over the place, sure.
but in a small house/room/basement doing plumbing or electrical, it's a waste of time cleaning up non-stop, especially if you're the only trade there. bust out the days labor, then clean up at the end. if it's an vacant/remodel, even leave the mess build-up for days and it still only takes about an hour max to clean everything.
Ive been watching your videos because our pump went out.
First learning what NOT to do. Watched quite a few and felt confident in at least popping top and giving a look into well.
First thing i saw were two missing nuts and a missing half moon piece.
Were not going to have water for a while.😮
The wires, duct tape , and nylon cord wrapped haphazardly around the pipe confirmed to me that whoever did this mess was an idiot.
But oh well.
Your videos are fantastic.
Too bad the previous owner of my house hadnt followed them.
Gotta go get more buckets of water now haha
There is nothing worse than being with water on the weekend. Good job
Hope my well pump lasts that long.
With what you did here is what we did 40 years ago to help . Working 6 days a week was natural for us.
Never heard of Grundfous pumps.... growing up we always had a sta rite or Meyers pump
That black 100 psi pipe was still good after 45 years.
That's bad ass
The oldest pump and motor we pulled at a well was a 1979 red jacket.
