Cream first (like butter) as it is quite dense so you can press it down hard onto to scone. Then when you put the soft jam on and bite into it you’re more likely to get less jam down your front as it isn’t being hydraulically pressed by a slab of cream 🙂

Seeing you here in Tenerife makes me look forward to my well earned holiday in October, where I'm staying at the H10 Sur in Los Cristianos, sea view booked to see the ferries come and go and people watch from my sunny balcony. Favourite place to go when in Tenerife. They do a large range of gluten free options, dinners and desserts. Nice people in there. Brownie and ice cream!! Tasty.

Looked amazing we’ve been to Los Cristanos Harriet’s and it was perfect, after trying the tapas on holidays you start to want more British type food just for a change, we had Liver with onions and Bacon it was gorgeous at Harriet’s. I know I’ve said this before but the number 1 in Los Cristanos is Oliver’s out of town in Arona the place is amazing and would make a great Vlog. Cathy and Chris Smith are the owners and I’m sure they would welcome a visit. The booking of this restaurant is normally 5 months in advance, we are booked in with our family on Easter Saturday. Always go to Harriet’s for my morning porridge, must be the only place on the island that does porridge, I’m not a fan of the full English breakfast. I fly out to Tenerife tomorrow so il keep an eye out for you !

€15 may sound expensive, but good ingredients cost more and it shows. They’ve probably done well over that last 9 years because they’ve stuck to their guns and provided quality produce. Not everything can be €1 😆

I'm catching up really late on the Tenerife vlogs. That Afternoon Tea, looks divine. I know it's not very ambitious, and does seem like a typical Brit takeover of another country, but I think I'd even cope in Tenerife, and said before, I'm really under-travelled. However, I would try some typical local dishes too, if available. Simply sublime, is an Afternoon Tea! The old myth (not sure if it's true or not) was the rich could put the tea in first, as their china was better quality than the serfs, who had to put milk in first, to cool the porcelain, before the hot water hit it and cracked it. No idea if it's true, but a fun story anyway!

Tea always tastes good out of a teapot. The cakes look good. :) I have added some of my cakes on my page now. Done some short clips. I think you would enjoy some of my cakes. Harriets is definitely a place I would like to try.

Try Chill Out restaurant in Los Christianos you will like it , it s a little bit different like the other restaurants with a really nice athmosphare and also tasty foods👌

Lol. It was €15. Way too much food for one. Lol. I left 3 cakes. The one for 2 was €25 twice the size!
Harriet's is the best place to go for food, I went there every morning for my breakfast. Highly recommended! for anyone staying in the area.

We love Harriets; always a must for breakfast at least one day. We stayed in Los Cristianos last year and still walked over for brekkie. Didn’t know there was a second one! 🙄. See you in October! 👍
