Radiation therapy is a very common treatment modality that may be recommended. Radiation therapy, administered by a radiation oncologist physician, is accomplished by directing a stream of radiation particles that is molded to precisely the cancer’s 3D shape. Furthermore, the radioactive beam is rotated continuously around the cancer to ensure healthy tissue is not overly exposed, but collectively, keeping the focus of the radiation beams all centered on the cancer itself.

My Wife father had throat cancer during early 2000s he used to have these radiation therapy it was called Cobalt therapy back then. During those times his taste buds doesn't working for weeks..
Now hes still alive and the only side effects he carry through the years was he looks old than hes actual age. He was cancer free for more than 20 years already. The treatment was super effective.

@@RizZahir as far as i know it only takes weeks to recover from the taste buds and other side effects.
