You did a video using our RV… so, we got to see exactly what to do with ours. 😘
THANK YOU!!! 😃
That is awesome! Most welcome!
Thanks awesome! You are welcome!
Once again, you knocked it out of the park. Night and day difference. That Jescar Powerlock+ sealant is a proven winner. Like how you applied it, almost like an all in one. Great job! 👍
Thank you!!!
Any recommendations for a fiberglass camper? Can I use this or a spray and rinse sealant
Yes, this would work quite well for a fiberglass camper!
I did an RV easy and wax yesterday. I underestimated how difficult it would be to do so on a dusty dirt lot and all by myself. I wish I had seen this video beforehand
Haha, yeah RV’s can be a pain!
when you polish an RV with bad oxidation, do you follow the same steps that you do on boats as per your other uploaded videos? Shine supply heavy cut, chop top, same pads etc?
You can, however, heavy cut may be a little too course for RV gelcoat. RV gel coat is not as thick as Marine gelcoat.
I just finished removing super old & cracked, baked on decals from my 28 foot fiberglass pull behind and buffed all the oxidation off all four sides. It took me two weeks, working on it multiple hours most days. My shoulders are tired🤣. Now I need to wax/seal it. I'm thinking of using Meguires Flagship Premium Marine Wax or their Ultimate Liquid Wax. Synthetic products. Thanks for the video. I'll try your application method: up and down and side to side.👏
how do you guage pricing on an rv is it basically just dependent on square footage plus service, or is it standard pricing with hourly rate
I price per foot. Starting at $50 a foot.
@@blu_monstrausity_1548 LOL
Great vid, this is the reason I started watching your boat vids.... Lol. SWEET!
Awesome! Thanks man!
Excellent video, short , sweet and to the point..
Thanks bro!
What you take for the big water spot thanks for that
Hi Drake, really enjoyed the RV detail. We recently purchased a 2024 Travel Trailer that has what the manufacturer calls White Laminated Fiberglass sidewalls and Painted Fiberglass Front Cap with Clear Coat. I want to put a coat of sealant on it after a good wash. There appears not to be any swirls from the factory. I have Menzerna 400 and Jescar Ultra Lock + on hand. Could you advise on what i should use to finish these materials. Thanks in advance. Been a fan for a few years. You do great work.
Hey bro, if you have some Moderna 400 I would use that on a gray Lake country force rotation pad on either a DA polisher, or a force rotation machine. Then apply your jescar powerlock for the sealant.
This looks great! Question, my RV has more oxidation, would you suggest the same steps and products? Trying to get the shine back which is gone. Also, with the oxidation on the roof as well I assume you would do the same steps for the roof as well, so I don’t have white streaks coming down? Thank you very much for any advice you can provide!
Yes, absolutely similar process. However, the gelcoat on RVs are a lot thinner than the gel coat on boats…. You just need to keep in mind that you can burn through more easily than a boat.
What do you include in your interior rv package?
Usually it’s a full cleaning. So wipe of down everything for cleaner and rags. Seats, walls, counters.
Of an additional charge did shampoo the carpets
I Love You video a question how much did you charge for the basic wash RV but if you want the full detail the wheels Chrome and polish all the embryos polish do you want to wash and sealant and what speed do you put the buffer I love your videos so much give me a papa information the type of brushes I need and the type of chemicals I need
I charge $15 per foot per step I need to do to the RV
Great video! A couple of questions: We have a fifth wheel camper, with a painted front cap, and the balance of the sides and back being fiberglass gel coat. The driver’s side of our rig, which is a 2020 model Jayco Eagle, has started showing lots of very dull areas, within the “shiny finished” areas. Sort of a white-ish powdery look. I bought some Gel Coat cleaner/polish and did the whole rig with a dual action tool, but didn’t get very good results. I went ahead and put on a good coat of Maguire’s Boat/RV wax. That helped, but still would like to get this one side back to “like new” look. Any thoughts on what else I should do? I’m a little leery of doing too much polishing on this fiberglass finish-thanks for any help or thoughts!
Hey there! The reason is it is not looking shiny again is because the surface has been oxidized. You cannot wax over top of oxidation as it will not remove the oxidation. You need to remove the oxidation by buffing with a compound, then following up with a polish, and then waxing over it to protect the surface applying the wax now is only applying it over and oxidize surface- the oxidation needs to be removed before you can wax.
Have you ever done an Air Stream? if do what did you use for a 1 step polish and sealant.
I have not
Great video! I have a question if the coat is gone and the client wants it Waxed what do you tell them? I know that the wax will leave some stains
Hey! I’d the gelcoat is in no shape to wax, just tell them that it’s going to need to a multi-step detail beige you seal it, or else the wax would just be a waist of time
@@DrakesDetailing Thank you for replying Drake, do you have a video doing a multi step detail? Your videos are very informative and extremely helpful.
Niiice! Looks fresh! And that there Dylan seems like a solid worker 💪🏼
Haha! He’s pretty good!
What pad brand are you using to apply the sealant
A lake country microfiber pad
I've been watching your videos as I will be detailing my boat when I pull it for the season next month. One question, can you use the same techniques and materials to do a truck?
Yes, all that I did in this video can be done on a truck
What kind and brand of pressure washer do you use ?
I get the power stroke one from Walmart
love it! getting ready to expand to rvs myself..thinking gtechniq rinse on ceramic marine for 90 day protection.
Nice, good luck!
Waterspots highs and lows what kind of acid do I use to not hurt stickers windows please help
I use water spot remover! It’s not tough on anything except the water spots! www.detailusupply.com/products/undrdog-wsp?_pos=1&_psq=water&_ss=e&_v=1.0
Awesome work as always Drake
Thank you!
Hi, How much do you charge to do RV
around $15 a ft
@@DrakesDetailing Thanks, does that price include gel coat restoration?
Great video Drake. Thank you. Would you do anything different for cleaning a prevost coach bus?
Hi Bryan! I’ve never done a bus but I would imagine all the same steps would be safe for it!
Great video and nice work it came out great! Could use your opinion. Im going to be doing my first RV. Been detailing everything else for 25 years and never an RV. It's a 34 footer. He wants the exterior washed buffed and sealed. Windows wheels and tires. Plus roof. Going to be fun considering I work alone. I was thinking of $15-20 a foot? Does that seem fair? ..Interior not sure yet he didn't confirm.
What do you mean by buff and sealed ? Are you going to do paint correction and seal it? Like multi step? Or just one step seal?
@@DrakesDetailing Sorry Yes Multi step. Its dirty and oxidized. Could use maybe a 3 step but hoping to get away with a 2 step. W/ a light cut polish and go to a sealer wax.
Then I’d be every bit of $20 a ft! That will be a decent project!
@@DrakesDetailing Thanks for the input man I appreciate it. I figured I would add 10 more if he decides on the inside too.
Yea that’s about right
Something that I’ve always wondered when washing a painted vehicle or even gel coat for that matter. I love using a foam cannon but let’s say the surface has a lot of dust or road grime. Is it best to foam cannon, rinse, refoam and scrub to avoid the risk of rubbing in whatever abrasive material is sitting on the surface? Or are you safe to just spread down with the foam cannon and agitate from there?
What products do you like for matt black rims? They are starting to look chalky.
Awesome! All the content has been super helpful!
Great!
Thank you for this video. I'm seeking product and techniques about detailing my 2019 Jayco Northpoint 385thws. Triple axle 44ft11in toy hauler
Do you have videos of interior detailing with this RV
Hey man! Unfortunately I do not
How much did you charge for that including the polish?
Around $25 per foot
Fantastic work, I am looking to add this service to my glass repair and headlight restoration service and I appreciate the product/ method list.
Thanks! Glad I could be inspiring! 😎🔥
I have a 30 footer to do this week first one 25/ft seem reasonable?
and there's a different price for the roof
Yes that’s a good price for sure!
Awesome information here brother. Great video.. that things a beast!
Thanks Bro!
Can I ask what your charging per ft on motorhomes and travel trailers?
Looks great brother !
Thanks bro!
Is that the price just for washing the outside🤔
Yes
How much you charge for the washer wax on that
Around $15 per foot
Great video, thanks for sharing! How much water do you use for one RV?
Hi Stalin! Not entirely sure what you mean by this, I sue as much as I need to get it clean…. don’t have a clue as to how much I actually use 🤷🏻
Hi, what wax or water repellent you are using for glass? Thanks.
Hey Andriy! No glass protectant on this video, but you can always put a coat of polymer sealant on glass to protect it and make the water bead 😎
Great job sir
Thanks man!
And you shouldn't use the lambswool on the tires....then use on the coach. The tires can have small pebbles then transfer to the lambswool....which can scratch the paint. Always use a separate towel to clean the wheels.
👍
Wow amazing 👍🏻
Thanks for watching 🔥💯
Awesome👍 you guys rock that RV
Thanks!!
How much do they charge for a job like this? looks very good. good job
$15 per foot per step
Another great result. Would you change up your process on a non-painted Gelcoat RV?
Not really... gel coat Rv’s are usually oxidized, so you may need to compound and polish them to hold a wax or sealant properly!
I don’t do a ton of rv corrections though .
Other than that everything would be the same.
@@DrakesDetailing how much if you don't mind me asking
This job was $15 a ft
@@DrakesDetailing was the roof in addition to your per foot And if so why is there a difference for the roof?
I was just asked if I could do an RV. I said "let me do some research". So...what PSI do you have on your pressure washer? What various other services might I advertise or suggest? Has anyone ever asked you to do interiors and would you do them? And how do you price an RV? Thanks for the videos! (I know this one is a year old but TH-cam brought me directly to this video!)
The PSI on the pressure washer inside isn’t all that much maybe 1800-2000. It’s just enough to get the grime off, but not overkill 😎
@@DrakesDetailing perfect. Same as what I use for vehicles.
Do you use 1 pad for the whole rig? Or do you change after a certain portion is completed?
I would say he used more. It's good practice in detailing to use 2 pads on a car. For an RV I would say 5 pads to be safe
@@dnadetails so I noticed this dude doesn't reply to peoples comments unless it has to do with a boat. Thanks for replying at least someone with knowledge did!
@larryjcruz that isn’t true, I have just been busy lately I haven’t been getting back to a lot of people. Sorry
Awesome work! Love the content 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thanks bro!
Drake's Detailing keep it up man! If you ever in the tampa/Orlando/Clearwater area hmu! Would love to work on a project with you man 💪🏾
Let’s do it! I’ll let you know!
I got wax on the bottom of my Rv. The skirt area. How do I remove the wax? I believe it’s aluminum not metal as a magnet won’t stick. Please help. Thank you
Hey! Try some diluted degreaser or Dawn dishwashing soap and give it a little scrubbing to help remove the wax.
@@DrakesDetailing will try. Thank you for the response
Great work guys!
Thank you!
What did you charge for this service if you don’t mind my asking? Great job!
Hey there! Quite honestly I don’t quite remember as this was a few years ago. I usually charge around &15-$120 per foot per step with these type of jobs.
@@DrakesDetailing Thank you for answering! I have a potential job and they are asking me how much to detail their 31 foot rv the same way i detail car exteriors. I usually wash then clay a car then apply a spray sealant like beadmaker or something similar and for that i usually charge around $300. I have no idea what is fair for a 31 foot rv though!
thanks for the video
Hey drake nice work on the rv $25 a foot?
is that including the inside how much would you charge for that
$15 a ft is exterior only. What I did in this video!
Interior is charge around $7 or $10 extra a ft
If you’re only I’m one show person, how long would you say it would take to do a rv like this. A wash and wax
5-7 hours
@@dnadetails what about charge?
depends on the detailer, 10-15$ a foot
I would use waterless car wash for RV detail
To each there own! This just happens to work for me 😉
Grate job boys. Real helpful 💯 👌. Much love. Keep on pushing yourself. May god be with you 🙏.
Thank you!!🙌
Awesome r u in Orlando
No, Just moved from Pensacola Florida out to Redding California!
Iliterally used the link for the lambswool pad on this video. Instructions read: "Avoid heavy-duty cleaners or degreasers such as dish soap..."
I'm gonna trust you on this even though this was an expensive pad. On the note of the Jescar, how much do you load on the mf pad for each pass? And are you blowing it out? I'm guessing I probably nned about 5 pads or so to do this 31ft RV this weekend. Thanks again for these vids. Very helpful!
Thanks bro! It’s about 3 pea sized amounts on the pad. It will last you at least a few passes.
How do you dry something that big
Drying microfiber / It will air dry fast! Air drying will cause water spots though
@@DrakesDetailing thank you. Fir written me I hope your having an amazing day stay healthy and positive also it seems A lot of work by hand what about the top I guess ladder 🪜. What about a pole with maybe drying ant the end of it
I would suggest onr wash or wash n wax all. Cut your time down tremendously. Especially if there's no oxidation or compounding to be done.
Thanks for the input 😎
I like detailing those class a rvs. I had a guy messaging me a few weeks ago about doing a paint correction on one, cleaning a trx and Jeep. He must have some deep pockets 😂
Very cool! Grind on!
15$ i can dig it, what did that consist of just the outside (wash & wax) or the inside to
Nope, just the exterior including the roof wash. Wash , wax, tire shine, exterior windows and rim wax
@@DrakesDetailing word-up,one thanks for replying (2) if you had did the inside top to bottom with the outside wash how much ($) you would have hit them for, three how long would it take you start to finish
Depending on how bad the interior is I usually charge around $7-12 a ft. Depending on if I have to shampoo carpets and deep clean
Interiors usually take about 1 hr per 10 ft.
Exterior with waxing takes about 1.5 hrs per 10 feet
@@DrakesDetailing man you clockin,15 for exterior pius we will say 10 for the interior that’s 25$ per ft. to do a complete detail on a rv,good job
How long did this RV Take You bro? And how do u price an rv ?
think it took about 5 or 6 hours. I typically charge $15 a ft for rvs
Boats, RV’s is there Anything you don’t do🏆🥇⭐️
Ha ha whatever I need to do bro! 😎🔥
Not a ton of info out there about people applying powerlock by machine so thank you!! I’m getting ready to do a full detail on my fifth wheel and will also be using powerlock.
Are you using the cutting or finishing microfiber pad with the powerlock? Also looks like you can get a decent size area done before having to add more powerlock to the pad? But I believe you’re also putting more than a few drops on the pad as well. Thank you!! 🤙
I’m using the finishing urofiber.
I put a decent amount on the pad, but once it gets saturated you can use a few dots
@@DrakesDetailing Thanks Drake! I appreciate it. Currently I only use 5" pads. Do you think a 6" is worth it if I want it solely for applying power lock? on the RV :)
Did u use deionized water for this? If not how'd u avoid the water spots.
I did not, dry the Rv as fast as possible.
Also, this rv already had slight water spots on it already.. he didn’t want to have it polish out or anything.
I would never use purple power on automotive paint. A friend did and it messed up the clear coat.
I have used it over 1000 times and never had an issue, If you use it too hot ( not diluted enough ) and let it dry on the paint it can hurt it for sure. Just have to be careful
looks nice and clean I want to know How much will coast for detailed clean like this one and how long took you to finish it?
I charged him $15 a foot took about a 3.5 hours
How many squares feet has the one that you clean?
If you charge $15 per foot to clean the RV that is crazy expensive I don't believe that is so expensive to clean a RV
It was 34 feet. And as you can see in the video we did way more than just clean it.
@wildcard Thanks bro!!
Where are you at
Pensacola, Florida
Do you charge a flat rate or by the ft on RVs?
By the ft, typically around $15 a ft for exterior
@@DrakesDetailing is that charge per side? Please explain! Thank you!
Nope, just $15-$18 per linear foot.
So if it’s at 35 ft rv @ $15 a ft
35ft x $15 = $525
Not calling you out but I own an open road.
Page 103 of the owner's manual specifically states against the use of simple green.
Cool thanks! Don’t use it then :)
@@DrakesDetailing cool....i wont. but you should respect the owners rig and follow the manufacturer's recommended procedures.
How much was this worth?
This was about three years ago, so if my memory serves me correctly, I believe this was around 1100
Dawn dish soap ruins the clear coat I’ve heard
Not true, it takes wax off. Not waxing your clear coat ruins clear coat.
I used dawn to strip the old wax and re sealed the paint. That’s perfectly fine
Dawn dishwashing solution? That is not good for an rv surface.
It’s fine for the surface, it’s not good for the wax. Dawn removes wax. That’s why you always want to re wax your rv after you use dawn.
Those ladders look dangerous. Have you ever tried a mini-trampoline?
I haven’t, They’ve been working just fine for me 😎
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks 😎
You need to quit doing videos. I saw many places that you didn't hit 100% of the surface when you used the brush on the sides!
Hi Robin! Thanks for your comment! I’d love to see some of your videos to see how a real pro does it! Thanks! 😎
