When doing a front kick (or front push kick as he calls it), NEVER turn your foot 90° (0° being pointing directly at oppenent). You lose all power if the kick is caught. Instead, only turn your planted foot 45°, or less. Just enough to open your hips so the kick can go straight unobstructed. If your kick is caught.
