meannnn!!! next time you’re in aotearoa, specifically rotorua, come to whakarewarewa!!! mitai village is mean but it’s a recreation of how we lived, whereas whakarewarewa is a living village, my whole whānau live there & run the tourism! you’ll get to see our people living within a traditional structure for real! love your content dude, can’t wait to have ya back
come to New Zealand aswell while your at it.
Ae... Tautoko to korero! ❤
@@wokesick😂
@@wokesicknah, just Aotearoa.
The place to go for thermal is wai o tapu or whakarewarewa. The best place is kerosene creek and it's free. The water in the stream is hot but not too hot to stop you lying in the stream and having the hot water pour over you from the small waterfall about 3 or 4 feet and the stream winds it's way through native bush. It's a cool experience. Definitely put kerosene creek in the notebook for when you come back bro
Glad u got to witness our Māori culture. NZ is well known for its epic hospitality especially from the Māori and pacific people. As you can see in the comments heaps of us are keen to host u and play tour guide. A lot of the best stuff is got this way and the people are genuine, regardless of some of the kaka you’ve experienced online, anyone willing to host will honestly want to show u the best of their towns. Next time we will set u up better so u can have new experiences unique to nz and you. I’m more than happy to help facilitate my bro.
Bro this guy's gonna be tangata whenua soon enough ✅️💯
Bro, you're welcome in NZ anytime. What's ours is yours too.
OMG! I just wanted this vlog to go on & on & on. ❤ our MAORI culture. Thank u my bro. Hopefully when u come back u can experience a marae stay & boilup lol. Arohanui. Xoxo
You need to go to Te Puia my brother. That’s where the grumpy geysers are. And that natural hot springs are spot that locals know of. But a really nice tourist spot is called hells gates where you spa in natural water and mud baths also. It’s cool my bro. You need to get with some locals to know the places to go to
Cool brother hope you enjoyed your experience in our little piece of paradise your welcome back anytime
Man I miss a good hangi 🤤 ki Ora!
Wai o tapu (waters of sacredness) hot springs about 20 mins south of Rotorua is where you can go to swim in the hot pools, you can pay or you can go down the road to the small bridge as you leave the site and there is a spot you can swim for free.
I highly recommend it.
We’re glad you got to experience our culture bro. We would love to get your insight on your experience of the Māori village too that would be cool. A short would suffice ❤
14:30 the people whoever got in there, never got back out alive 😢 you missed the foot pools further around and the bridge that goes over a massive steam pond! "Tip" when you arrive at any tourist places or any place, tap google maps n look at the pics to know what's in the immediate area 👍🏾
You should of spoke to the locals at that night you was hanging with bro .good to see you enjoy yourself bro
You need a tour guide bro. You missed the spots
Great looking show for international tourists…and those Wahine (female) dancers perform the Maori POI were fantastic. That’s harder than it looks… believe me.
Def next time get a local to show you round. Rotorua has so much to see.
as a Pakeha, thank you for showcasing the Maori culture, it gives me pride, even tho im not Maori myself.
This so cool. I don’t know why as soon as I watch stuff like this from home I start to cry lol. Every. Bloody. Time.
Kuirau Park was so cool when I went, the geothermal pools just chose to be humble for you 😭
So many free natural sights to be seen in our beautiful Rotorua! Ko Ngati Rangiwewehi, Ngati Whakaue, Ngati Pikiao Te Arawa.... E
Mitai, this is run by the Mitai whanau (family) they have one of the yummist Hangi (earth cooked food)
I was wanting to set you up a free pass to Tu Pā Tu the Maori village out of Rotorua, run & owned by my tribe, my son is there and would of chaperoned you for the evening 💯 a tera wā
I live in Auckland and I've never seen anything like this, nice one man hope you have been treated well by our locals... takecare mah bro
Bro you missed the pool for bathing. You were so close to it but must have turned back too soon…
Yeah you could actually see them in the video
If you walked less than a kilometre towards where the lake was, you would’ve seen some amazing hot pools and how people live around it.
Thank you my bro for all your work truly appreciated
Respect bro you got good energy 💯 really hope you enjoyed ur visit to our country 💯😎🤙🏼
Sorry i missed ya brother. Next time you're in Rotorua, i'll take you to where everything is 💚
Tuhourangi ahau
Awesome bro.... You made it!!! If you go to Whanganui you might see Stan Walker, my daughter lives there and reckons she sees Stan a lot doing normal daily things, like we all do!!!
Yea bruh u needed a guide, Rotorua has same awesome activities like 4x4 off roading, volcanic tours, coloured lakes, hunting, motorbike tour rides, tu meke brother hope you get time to explore more of our whenua(lands) next round,
You should come in summer got the rhythm and vines rave in Gisborne and other raves around the country around that time of year
You need to visit Whakarewarewa you see all the hot springs
Kia ora Twano...next time your in Rotorua, let us know we'll be happy to show you around the place...🤙☝️😌
Omg so jealous Hangi on..❤ your smell the hot pools b4 you get there. Just remember when you hit the South Island double up on your clothing.
Thats my home town mh bro hooe you enjoyed yourself 🤙
I wonder if the Purerehua is what was used for the iconic soundtrack of 'Once Were Warriors', in the scenes when Jake is about to become violent. I've always thought it was just humming, but that instrument sounded so familiar! Also, I have fond memories of learning and playing stick games, and poi, at primary school when I was a little girl. Definitely harder than it looks!
Yes that was the instrument used in once were warriors
Oh no I’m so upset I didn’t realise you were here
Polynesian pools man!!! beautiful.
I’m from there, a few years back the hot springs were blasting threw houses coz the council thought it was a good idea to block the natural hot water and it was a disaster
I wish you went to kerosene creek. Thats a nice free thermal pool
Yes Rebel sport is expensive. The actual hot pools where you can bathe costs. In Rotorua there is a nice little waterfall hot spring you can sit in and relax called Kerosene creek. I wonder if there is any NZ youtuber that could possibly host you if you ever come back to NZ.
your gonna love wellington .make sure to see our beautiful snow covered mountains on the way down .love the vids mbro . youll notice a diffrent vibe
So sorry I missed you when you were NZ.
I live Rotorua where 10min drive from Mitai
Māori concert
Hope you had wonderful time in nz
Blessing brother
😍😍😍😍😍 it really is a great experience!
My sisters used to do this for a job back in the day at a place called ko tane in Christchurch, you could feed the animals and see kiwi birds, then a Māori experience. Easy money for us lol
dam,you shouldve hooked up with one of your followers from Rotas to show you around Kuirau park. Hells Gate wouldve been a good plae for you to go as well

Incredible my brother I hope you enjoyed it, do you know your African roots or where you might be from originally ?
Bro while you're in Rotorua you should have gone for a soak in the hot pools at either Polynesian Spa which will cost or Kerosene Creek if you want a free option.

If U Wana hit da real mud pools, U need to go up north to Ngawha Springs
What about the waitangi bay area up north island
If you walked the whole tack you would see the more impressive pools at the end bro.
It dies stink of Sulphur in rotorua bro. But it's not that bad. You get used to it. It seems to be worse when it rains
Brother next time you have to do the South Island

Te Puia 👍
You cant leave Aotearoa NZ without getting a tattoo bro💪
You need to meet up with some locals next time. They will show you all the best spots.
The locals would've helped you for free bro
It's a theatre restaurant.
i have been here too and the kai was beautiful, the entertainment superb and the walk in the ngāhere thrilling.
I'm surprised you went to smelly rotorua haha that place stankssssss. I bet they had lots of abalone and sea urchin there.
That wasn't it the one you were spouse to go to was called Whakarewarewa

Meeeean hangi
meeeeaaaannnnn
You have to ask someone (they have information centres in most towns) Be specific to look at or to sit in. They even have a hot river you can go in for free.
Is that the one with the brain eating amoeba though?
@jalesaisback all thermal pools have that bro. Totally safe if you don't put your head under the water
@@rollyrolly7729 oh wow, I had no idea! Tbf, I got my information from Professor Google & it only advised against one (Kerosene Creek I think) but that’s cool to know ☺️ learn something new everyday!!
@@jalesaisback all good bro. You were right. Just don't put your head under the water in any thermal pool
What were the traditional dishes before lamb pork beef and chickens were bought here by the colonies ? Like actual traditional dishes that didnt use the produce of the colonials ? Dog , rat , Moa, Kereru aka Giant Pigeon, Mutton bird ect ? and all the seafood. A hangi uses mostly colonial ingredients but is pushed as traditional food. From 1200ad to 1840ad which is when AOTEAROA was colonized what was the traditional food ? Because there was no pork chicken lamb or beef. Whats being pushed international is not traditional. Lets educate people properly. There was no salt, no spices, No pepper no chili. The three seasonings traditionally used are Horopeto, Kawakawa and dried seaweed aka Korengo. kia whakamanamana ki to teikana
Brotha how come you didn't tell nz on your show that you were coming to nz brotha tell us you will have a better experience bud chur love you show chur brotha
Wake up bei Te arawa trying to take ka pana pana. Haven't yous got your own haka to sell to the tourist?
Jealous?! 😂
Next tym you here hook me up make it better for ya
i do not like the style these tribes have. in Tuwharetoa we hold a low horse stance as its called in english, we call it a Turiwhatia. These welcomers seem to not use their ihi (eternal warmth energy). We shake, and bite our words in our haka. These haka seem lifeless.
my personal opinion.
Actually you went to a fake village for tourists. Not a real Maori settlement.
Bro that Tour is smh average Maori but the Dj omg you need retire like for real your embarrassing
Twano the Mori where Polynesian people that supposedly arrived here on voyages just before the Maori but they where mostly wiped out by the Taranaki tribes as humans do
Hi twano you should go to Chatham Islands and see the Mori Ori carvings
The Chatham Islands is at the bottom of the south Island
Also twano Thier where Europeans here before captain Cook discovered this island and the British came here they are known as the pakeha Maori jacky marmon Google him
Also the Maori colonised new Zealand before Europeans colonisation is when you take over land wether it's inhabited or not they say the Vikings colonised green land and they did using slaves the Maori done the same thing here in New Zealand
Also twano talking about the Mori Ori is controversial because tmit challenges the facts the Maori where here first or are indigenous to this island 😂
