Oh, we're fully aware we barely scratched the surface. I always wish we had more time. Of course, we do need time to edit these videos to push out too, but wouldn't mind a staycation to really get to explore the islands.

New Zealand is AWESOME. I was able to visit several cities while I worked on cruise ships. Amazing sites, food, and people.

Hi all! Seems this needs to be addressed since we've gotten several comments on it. We are actually wearing seatbelts in the video, yes. Most modern vehicles, including this one, will literally yell at you for not wearing a seatbelt. You'd never have been able to hear us talk without it beeping. And we're never not wore seatbelts, like ever. Not in the US, and especially not in a new country where we're not even used to driving on the opposite side of the road. Sorry if there's confusion on that, but thank you for trying to look out for us! It's reassuring that so many kiwis care about seatbelts and safety.

I hope we can make it there in the summer. Tony said he camped out on a beach near the northern tip of the island last time he was there, and the Milky way was over his head every night. Felt so close he could touch it, as he likes to say.

Maybe there's a reason y'all don't but I always wish travel vloggers would include the month and temps of when they're visiting cause I'm an avid over packer and am always curious about how I should back for destinations. It looks cold with the jackets you're wearing! 😂
This is a great question. Honestly not something we really thought about. We were there very recently. June/July ish is winter in New Zealand so it was a bit cold in some spots (obviously not cold enough that we couldn't splash around a bit 😂). We talk about that a bit more in our next video as we're outdoors more in that one, but idk it's not usually a question we get asked so I guess it goes overlooked

Yes! Zorbing originated there…I did this in 2008 and loved it. I went twice on the 2nd track. When I was there…they had the option of being strapped into the middle where you would actually flip/roll head over foot. No thank you on that one.
PS I left the US on Christmas Eve and arrived the day after Christmas. We had about 2 hrs of Christmas in the middle of the night in flight before crossing the date line.

Hello fellow Seattlites! As someone who also recently drove on the other side in Scotland, I feel your pain Tony! It's really scary at first. I did eventually adjust after two weeks and then when we came back I had to readjust to the other side again, stupid brain!
crazy right. Sometimes I find it's just as hard adjusting to coming back home than learning to adjust to the opposite side while you're there. First day back I turned into our neighborhood and could not remember which side of the road I was supposed to be in for like 10 seconds.
Y’all should go to the bay of islands!!! It’s on the north island. It has the most beautiful water!! Definitely take a boat tour of the islands. Just seeing it from the coast doesn’t do it justice
