    Richie being a Star Wars fan and having Star Wars themed Pikcs is AWESOME... Absolutely cool... That Epi Flying V Tuxedo is very nice...

    This is elegant and sophisticated guitar, eye catching, technically simple and sounds stunning live. Great customisation Richie

    I've been a Priest fan since the late 70's so it took me a while to warm up to Richie Faulkner. But since listening to Firepower and watching videos like this one, I wish nothing but the best of success for him and his career.

      @@NMMShred I have this pedal, it's cool but when you engage it it boosts your signal level alot. It's like a big volume boost.

    As much as I love this and buying stuff from Sweetwater, the Rig Rundown's are way more enjoyable to watch imo.

    Interesting take on the Flying V, nice how it’s become an amalgamation of guitar and player. Always good when you get it direct and not from the tech. 👍

    No amp mention. Why? In another video he shows his Engl Powerball II.

    • @angelblackworldwide5763

      Using a Kemper now live... Probably because of Andy Sneap who is a big believer in Kemper.

    • @P3t3rPizzarelli
      @P3t3rPizzarelli 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You can see the power ball when he's talking about his pedals. They wouldn't be lugging around two 100w heads if he was using a kemper

      For Richie's video, shot in Judas Priest's dressing room, I brought along a Boss Katana 50W 1x12" combo. Why? Because it's light, compact, sounds amazing, and is easy to dial in within seconds. FYI, Richie was using the "Brown" amp setting with the Gain at around 12 o'clock. Hope this helps!

      @gkol69 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      SweetwaterSound Thanks for the response!!! But, what about his live amps? The interview was about his rig and you left the amps out...

    • @skyscraperGB
      @skyscraperGB 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Angel Black Worldwide. That is incorrect. He is still using the Powerball II. See this rig rundown which appears to have been filmed around about the same time as this one th-cam.com/video/5RHMU1Z33xg/w-d-xo.html

    Anyone know what effect is used on Judas Priest Metal Gods? Live it gives their guitars a clean metal type sound, also I keep hearing that sound on various youtube cover videos [of various non-priest songs] but cannot figure out what effect is used.

    • @s1wheel4
      @s1wheel4 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think he uses a chorus pedal which makes the sound cascade or/and a reverb pedal. Check out a TH-cam vid on the chorus and reverb effects. These two effects can do a lot of things

    Faulkner is a great guitarist, but I wonder why he would insist of wearing a thumb ring if it damages all of his guitars.

      Hail, Richie plugged straight into a 50W 1x12" Boss Katana combo we brought with us...set on the "Brown" amp voicing, with Gain at about 12 o'clock and a tad of Hall reverb.

    Hes a Dime a dozen type of guitar player.. overrated and after he almost died and had to have 12 hour open-heart surgery he should be home relaxing with his family playing golf instead of Play rockstar with Papa Smurf.. Lost all respect for him when he wanted to do all guitars for Judas Priest by himself thinking he could handle it are you kidding me Richi you’re not that good
