    *DIY Planter Build: Step-by-Step Guide*
Welcome to our latest DIY project! Today, we'll show you how to build a sturdy planter using 2x6s and attach it to a wall for extra stability. Whether you're an experienced DIY enthusiast or just starting out, this project is perfect for enhancing your garden space.
    *Materials Needed:*
    - 6 Treated 2x6 Timber (approx. £70 from B&Q)
    - Miter saw with a sliding feature
    - Impact driver and drill
    - Tape measure
    - Long wood screws
    - Wall fixings
    - Gloves
    - Wood and masonry drill bits
    *Step-by-Step Instructions:*
    1. *Cutting the Timber:*
    - We'll cut four 2x6s to serve as the sides of the planter and use the other two for the edges.
    - Cut 8 pieces to 60 cm each for the edges. The remaining pieces will stay at 2.4 m.
    2. *Preparing the Pieces:*
    - Drill holes in the wood to make it easier to screw together.
    - Use long screws to attach the pieces, ensuring they are securely fastened.
    3. *Assembly:*
    - Assemble the sides and edges to form the planter structure.
    - Make sure to bury the screw heads slightly for a flush finish.
    4. *Attaching to the Wall:*
    - Mark out and drill holes for attaching the planter to the wall.
    - Use masonry drill bits for this step to ensure a strong hold.
    5. *Finishing Touches:*
    - Level the area where the planter will sit.
    - Attach a weed membrane inside the planter using a staple gun to preserve the wood and prevent weeds.
    6. *Adding Soil and Plants:*
    - Fill the planter with soil and add your favorite plants. We used olive trees and blue grass from B&M.
    *Tips for Longevity:*
    - For added durability, consider applying a bitumen layer inside the planter and placing it on a gravel base.
    *Final Look:*
    - We plan to clad the planter with leftover cladding from our Dormer extension, but staining the wood is also a great option.
    - Attach the planter to the wall to prevent it from toppling over time.
