    For example if you compare a Samsung galaxy s6 to a brand new s22, how have things improved/have they improved at all?

      @TubeSurferGeek the thing is that, it's the companies who are to blame. They innovate something, and market it so heavily that people start to think that it has to be the new norm and start to adapt to it. Personally, I would NEVER spend more than 200$ on a phone.

      @@mewtwosdad2230 I'll answer with my experience of my Zenfone6, honestly no regrets buying it. Had since it's release and it's a great phone. The pictures taken with it are great, the sound is... Okay. The battery holds for a day it seems while at the start is held for 48 hours. Other than that the software is the best I've had on a phone, and I love the flipping camera.

    • @vibingwithvinyl
      @vibingwithvinyl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mewtwosdad2230 Up until recently it's been doing well, but during the past month or so I've started having some display issues. Screen randomly goes blank, but the backlight remains lit and you can still "use" the phone. Usually the screen comes back after you lock and unlock it again. I think it has something do to with temperature.
      I've ordered a new screen (with frame) from Aliexpress and will swap it out, see if that helps. Performance wise the phone is still plenty quick.

    Xiaomi's claim of the 12S Ultra having the "first 1 inch sensor in a smartphone" is fake. SHARP, the japanese company, released their SHARP Aquos R6 with a 240hz display and 1 inch sensor last year.

    • @AndrewGillard
      @AndrewGillard 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sony have their recent "1 inch sensor" smartphone, too.
      But apparently Xiaomi's claim with this phone is that it's the first with a "1 inch" sensor _that was designed for use in smartphones,_ whereas the Sony phone uses a "1 inch" sensor that was designed for standalone/dedicated cameras and that Sony shoehorned into a smartphone. Perhaps the same is true with Sharp?
      No idea whether "designed for smartphones" actually makes much difference, though!

    I don’t think the underscreen fingerprint reader is “pretty standard” when even the iPhone 13 doesn’t have it.

    Reminds me of that Nokia Lumia 1030 something.
    It too had a gigantic camera bump. This was back when Nokia was at it's worst and the mentioned phone was their last flagship, before going on a hiatus.

    3:10 Actually, the silicone they used is even worse for the environment. Unlike other plastics like PVA or PVC, this silicone is an elastomer (rubber) and you can't recycle rubber.
