Great advice from your channel. Im a bricklaying apprentice in Norway. But here in Norway we unfortunatley do alot more than just bricks and blocks. We do all sorts of tiling, rendering and concrete projects, so its alot to take in. But your videos are very helpfull. Thank you!
I've come home from a day of bricklaying to watch a video about bricklaying Keep up these fascinating videos stu, I enjoy watching them and learning from them :)
You make a hard skill to develop look easy to do. That means you’re a master on what you. I’ve been following you for a while and every time you impress me more with your work and ideas. Keep up with the good work!
Even with his gloves I love how his hands stay clean considering it is a messy job. There’s something about watching professionals at work. Good stuff.
All I can say Is demand that shit through hard work and making sure they know that you’ll be there everyday by showing up everyday cause this takes time to learn the right way.
Started laying brick and block at14 I am 57 now. Both knees both elbows and my left shoulder are distoryed. But I loved it and made some good money at times. Advice. Put back for future and get out after no more than 20 years
Did brick ,block, stone, for 47 year I made a real good living doing it. I loved going to have fun. I am all used up now but I would not change a thing. I totally enjoyed your videos!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much for your video gifts to us. I have learned so much. I absolutely love this & I like the music a lot as well. Congratulations from Las Vegas.
I went to the final 4 of masonry in my state in 1991 I loved laying bricks I even hade a sing on the front of my truck that said brick smarter than you think
Well done stu , Great work. Us bricklayers don't get the respect & Gratitude we deserve........... 14 years on the trowel for me, Summers are great but winter can be brutal on the price
hey stu new subscriber here and a fan of your channel i am also a bricklayer here in the U.S and i enjoy watching your vids very cool man, keep up the great work,
You're a craftsman Stu, and should be rightly proud. We have a skills gap now in our country because kids turn their nose up at getting their hands dirty. They'd rather wear a suit and earn less!!!
There is something curiously re-assuring watching you work Stu. I guess it's because life is a series of very small events which, if done with the care and attention you pay to laying each brick , then we would all just take one thing at a time and not worry so much.
thats a great point Normal everybody these days want the big something but not all are willing to put the small monotonous steps in with persistence/ patience to reach their goals so they quit. bricklayings has so many life metaphors
Love watching your videos! You got such a great technique, wish I had your touch, my attempts at bricking would be more suited to a 1800’s build. Wish I had chosen to be a bricky before I became 40😖. Keep them coming
Hoping to be a bricklayer in the army reservist and in civi street , after military college I’m going to do a L2 bricklaying course at college, being female don’t put me off because I’m on a public Services course with a lot of boys anyway
Stu been in the building most of my life and not ashamed honest days graft yet were looked down on .. oh were got no brains just because we work on sites and work with our hands.. if the building trade all my family were in the building grandad a brickie and two uncles another a chipie my wife's side two plumbers and me a decorator and painter. Never forget your roots or work background like you said stu proud of the trade were in ...
I'm doing carpentry at college right now, this is a fantastic channel. I love to learn about the other trades in the industry, so your channel is great. And hopefully- one day, when I'm professional- I can make videos like these... very inspiring 😁
I've worked most aspects of construction over 25+ yrs, most of the years as an electrician. I've done enough to know when its easy, and when it only appears so. 100s of thousands of movement repetitions make it look like autopilot. I've never bricked, but I know I'm right.
As a joiner of nearly 35 years there’s two things I won’t even try. That’s plastering and brick laying. Love how that last brick just fits perfectly. When watching the videos usually bet the last one will be too big but always loose. You owe me £150 😝
greetings from germenay, thx for the contend  i´m happy to see someone loving the job like i do and i like to see some different styles of laying bircks so i can always learn new things after all the years in the job and may adoped some of them to perfect my owne style and get better after all the years ^^ btw, great music in your vids ^^
You should be !! All those city types that have never done a days hard graft sitting in there big Posh houses that they could never build ....but the brickies can! Kind of levelling that !!🙂
From 0.58 to 1.50 ish you dont half look awkward laying them bricks, leaning right down to see if you're to the line and constantly pinging the line. A good bricklayer can lay them without touching the line
You've every right to be proud turning out work like this.
Great advice from your channel.
