Updated firmware released on June 28th, currently testing it out! Will post an update after giving it a while to see if the 2.4GHz issue happens again. Firmware page: nuphy.com/pages/qmk-firmwares
You make some of the most detailed and nuanced reviews out here. I wonder if you’d consider doing break-downs were you open the keyboards to check the internals as well. Thanks for all you do
It has been more than a month now since I've been using my Halo 75 V2. It is great!. I am happy that the bug you mentioned is no longer there. Thank you for your content. I will subscribe to your channel.
A German Vendor actually has the ISO Gem 80 already on preorder. Great that nuphy listens to the market. Super happy with my gem 80 and ISO will be the ISOIng 🙈 on the cake.
I loved your reviews of all the nuphy and lofree keyboards and their comparisons. I would love see the Halo75 v2 go head to head against the Air75 v2, specifically how the typing experience between them differs because of the different keycap profiles.
Thanks for the detailed review! Everything is perfect, just one small thing that's bothering me - crank up that aperture a bit so when you hold a product, it's also in focus.
Experiencing flaky 2.4Ghz dongle connection on my Nuphy Air75 V2 on latest firmware. Even up close to dongle. Pretty disappointing when bluetooth connection works better than advertised fast 2.4Ghz with 1000Hz polling rate. Maybe there is interference with my other devices, but my logitech mx keyboard and mouse 2.4Ghz connections work well in same environment.
Thanks for the sound comparison between version v1 and v2. Even though they are different switches, you can more or less hear the type of sound style difference. That's the most important test :)
Love your review. I also had the similar bad experience of the wireless mode of NuPhy (but in the air 75 v2). I was surprised and disappointed. But they responded me quickly and asked for some videos of repeating the problem. They finally sent me the updated firmware which successfully fixed it. NuPhy team is good at solving problem. I hope they can do more tests before putting them on market. Not all customs know how to refresh firmware.
@@isaacfuentes905 Really depends on preference, one is not better than the other, if u prefer low profile and portability get the air if u prefer a more standard keyboard get this one
The limited range on v2 series needs resolved @Nuphy - Please resolve this issue its preventing me from buying anymore Nuphy branded boards after I bought the Air 75 v2 and can't use it at any distance beyond 3 or for feet. Even my $15 cheap Microcenter board works from way farther distances. I just needed one wireless board for use with TV at distance and it failed me.
Sounds very nice right out of the box! Those switches are pretty loud as well so the dampening is doing a lot. Sound much better than the Air V2 I picked up recently.
I've bought most (if not all of the old line), But one thing used to really annoy me. The case was SUPER easy to scratch. Taking keycaps off my keycap puller, scratched the white outer casing, and I had to buy another one coz of the scratch. lol then that arrived scratched. Does the new ones have the same case??
I had the stuck repeating key w/2.4Ghz one time on my Air 75v2 w/latest firmware 2.0.3. Hopefully they’ll be able to fix this issue with some other firmware. The old firmware 1.1.3 had other issues w/keyboard stopping response entirely once in a while, requiring power off/on.
Are these stabs noticeably better than the ones on the Keychron Q1 V2? That board was just ruined for me because the gasket mount on the had no travel at all and the stabs were really bad on my unit so I’m looking for an affordable alternative that actually gets the stabs especially right out of the box. Thanks for the review!
I would really love to buy a Nuphy Keyboard but not having an ISO Layout is really a big down where I can't wrap my head around. Also what none prebuilt keyboard is is automatic mac/Win remap. I dont know why its not possible to simply switch the layout when switching to an Mac OS device. For example the Logitech MX series can do that (because of that they are the only option atm)
I just got my halo 75 v2 today and I am confused on setting it up on my I mac . I was wondering is there any software that I have to download? and if so does the software allow to control the RGB? Thanks in advance and great video as always.
I have not had the serious issue constantly, in testing for a week I had the issue that I mentioned happen twice. So it definitely needs to be addressed, but it did not make it totally unusable (just frustrating). It's also possible that my unit has a bug that others do not. I'm hoping they release a firmware update pretty quickly in case it is an issue that's not just my unit.
The board seems average compared to products from other big manufacturers like Keychron. However, I can't see what's competitive about this board when compared to boards like the Mongsgeek M1, Cidoo75, Rainy75, Lucky65, and more that are priced under $135 and are fully aluminum. Nuphy used to be the premium innovator, but this board is very "meh", because the sound profile is average, the build quality is nothing special because it's just plastic, there's no special dampening or mounting mechanism, and the ONLY SPECIAL thing I can see is the RGB. So ... buy it for the RGB??

Hello, is the 2.4GHz issue solved with the new firmware update?

OMG that sound.. music to my ears

You make one of the best keyboard reviews out there. Really like watching your videos. Thanks for reviewing this one.
Thank you very much!
9:29 thank you so much for this comparison, I was looking for it everywhere
Yay Thanks! Been waiting for ur review on this keyboard. I have decided to go for it.
This. Is. Just. Getting. Too. Complicated. Too much to choose.
That's why you don't choose... You collect >:D
i’ve been binge watching keyboard reviews and reading stuff for the past 2 days. it. never. ends.

I'm having exactly the ssssssssssssssssssssssss see? OK where were we? exactly the same problem.

FYI, with Air 75 v2 firmware v2.0.3, the freezing/looping issue are still happening even in bluetooth mode.

Do u recommend this one or the air?? In terms of comfort and typing experience

This or air75 v2?? HELP!
That Mojito colorway is gorgeous! I normally opt for the darker versions of tech stuff, but green is my favorite color and I think I'm in love 😍.

Have one arriving on Monday, went white for epic gamer RGB :)
Do you prefer the Halo v2 or Air75 v2?
Great channel. I love all of your reviews!
Thank you so much!
It’s awesome but I’m quite disappointed that they didn’t at least keep the older keycap color schemes.
A total unrelated question: but what strap is that for your Apple Watch? It looks beautiful.

Sounds amaizing. Great video!
I’m a big fan of the Nuphy keyboards. Good for prebuilt mechanical keyboards. Just ordered the pink Halo96 v2!

I was looking forward to the 75v2. But losing that “Halo” ring around the outside for more RGB turned me away.
preordered this and the day it went to standard shipping the mojito colorway I picked out went out of stock instantly

Bought on pre-order and I was wondering when they would send it out but I guess they were sending the review units first 😅
Ty for the review..So..I just ordered the air75v2 last night after finding ur review ..yes just last night
What's the difference with the halo?
The Halo series is high profile while the air series is low profile. So if you prefer lower profile then the air series would be the right choice!
Low profile pls..many Thanks!

Thank you for the review! Question, what is the wallpaper on the screen behind you?
It's from Basic Apple Guy! basicappleguy.com/basicappleblog/better-sonoma

Thanks for review. I have one on the way and am now a bit concerned about the wireless not working well.

I just picked up the halo 96v2. I hope it works out!
Did they fix the gem 80?
I'm tryna get my first non gaming brand keyboard, and I'm looking at this or Gem80. Thoughts?
HOLY SHIT THAT SOUND?!?! Say no more 😭😭😭
1 month later and no pinned comment. 🤔 Am interested in the 96 V2.
It’s good for gaming..?
Is this keyboard not suitable for gaming?
They need to make 300 hours with full rgb on
awesome review! super objective with pros and cons, help me make the decision to buy it. thank you!
Why am I here watching a review of a product I already bought (and received today)? I'm typing this comment on the Blue Lagoon w/ Mint switches.
lol I’m watching this while waiting for mine to arrive .
The Halo75 V1 looks so dope. I dont like the V2 at all. South facing for what? You get NuPhy for ready to go keyboards
whats wrong with south facing ? just asking
missing one key 👎
The 2.4 ghz on my air 75 v2 is totally useless, keep disconnecting even within 50cm distance, never buying another nuphy again.
Sorry to hear that, but I won’t be buying anything except a Nuphy
The v2 is very thocky
They should have kept the old keycaps design. The new keycaps look cheap
why does this guy kinda sound like an ai

Looks like a downgrade to V1
