    Was watching Barry's video today, Big brother did a fly over and he asked if there were any weather advisories for his location as he was outside his coms link. They said that they were not allowed to talk about the weather and signed off, what a bunch of weak kneed SOBs. Thank you Big brother.

      I asked them the same question once. They couldn’t tell me either.

      It’s an area filled with natural beauty. Many early settlers tried to make a go of it there, but it was a very hostile environment to survive in. Thanks for watching and commenting. W.

      @@LifeinaNutshell I have read some of the history, thanks to your history lessons, and what a sad story. So many blatant lies told to people, so many led to absolute ruin and loss of life…and for what? Pitiful, dark and downright evil….

      Scares me too! But I think it’s worth it when you get to experience such a beautiful, pristine, remote place. W.

    Great tour guide, some of everything. Noticed no flip flops. "Bradshaw" aboriginal paints - name and method? Chiseled or paint or ink? Why are the humans portrayed as slim and tall?
    Are you allowed to eat sharks? In the Caribbean, ws have a delicacy, fried shark and bake with condiments.

    • @LifeinaNutshell
      @LifeinaNutshell  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Bradshaw figures are painted with natural pigment, most commonly red ochre. I don’t know why they are slim and tall, but it has been suggested that it’s due to artistic style and symbolism. Yes, we’re allowed to eat sharks and we do eat them, yum. Thank you for the comment. W.

      Really enjoy the history and geographical tid bits. Same for the economic challenges or changes.

    Can i ask an unrelatded question, How would you get back to darwin if you lost your motor ? I ask as I am out here and having some problems. :)

      We would sail and use our tinnie to get in and out of anchorages that we couldn’t sail in and out of, but calculating the exit before heading in. We’d probably head out to sea and avoid the coastline as much as possible. That’s my take on it. Magnus May have a different idea. W.

      Thanks , we only have a short skip and then just cross the Bonaparte to go and we will be fine.
