Already put 6k miles on our cx-90 turbo S. Averaging 27-28 mph on highway using regular fuel, and 19-22 mpg around town. Our vacation trip with car fully packed and 5 passengers inside averaged 25.6 mpg (measured and calculated at the pump on regular fuel), almost 2000 miles round trip with traffic jams, some city driving and mostly highway driving at 75-80 mph with multiple stops because of kids. Cx-70 shouldn't be much different. Love the car. Front bumper paint chips very easily, I regret not getting protective film on the front. We never need to push it above 3000-3500 rpm because of the amount of power it has at lower end for regular driving, so there's no need for me to waste money on premium fuel. Still getting headlight malfunctioning error on the screen and mazda hasn't fixed it, but lights seem to work just fine. Overall very happy with the decision to get the turbo 6 cylinder instead of phev. My wife loves driving it too. If you are worried about weird shifter position for parking the car, if you accidentally dont put it all the way into park and open the door, the e-brake will be automatically engaged to prevent car from rolling.
The shifter is a good idea in my opinion. It allows the driver to zoom in hyper focus on what is about to happen as opposed to being distracted by those screaming kids in the back= SAFETY
Why would you skip the third row in a car that's 201 inches long. Basically this drives like a 90/feels like a 90/same space as a 90 but not as practical as a 90 for the same price as a 90. .
Those LEDs in the back you like don’t actually light up other than the small bit outside the rear hatch. Only on the turbo S do they light. Come on Mazda thats insane. Same up front, the LED running lights? Not there on the phev only on the turbo S.
Why no exhaust tips ? To compliment that inline6? The rear needs a dual exhaust to help break up the boring rear bulge. The front two fake vents also need to go. Just screen those in into that functional air vent. Other than that i really like this suv. Mazda please offer a sport package, exhaust, slight power bump and painted calipers or something 👍👍👍
let's put the worst color for showing marks and scratches on thr most touched part on the vehicle. Smart move Mazda. Black door handles? it even looks odd

Big fan of Mazda and CarGurus' new review format!

I wish Mazda would offer the parchment-colored leather in the CX70. As well as the wood grain on an interior other than greige.
Can’t wait for the mpg, we have a CX5 and we need a little better fuel economy and more room but not a 3 row so this is perfect
I heard the PHEV CX - 70 gets around 50mpg.
It's the same size as a 90, might as well get the 90 if only for the resale value.

@@th003g makes no sense? Rather have the cargo room instead of the 3 room
@@dnice362 cargo room is identical to the 90.
Happen to think the all-black rims don’t cheapen the look, but enhance it.

The PHEV models qualify for the $7,500 federal EV rebate which helps reduce their prices for a lease
Great review!!!! Str8 2 da 👉

I don’t know why to slide front if you don’t have enough space on the second row.😂 they feature is not make sense
If I'm going to spend 60K on any vehicle it going to have a 6 cylinder engine
Fuel economy is awful
😣
The accent stitching on the interior is a hideous colour.
CX70 isn't new
Mazdas first jump into hybrids with an all new powertrain…no thanks.. The 90 has plenty of problems & recalls. I’ll stick with my CX9..

That means CX70 shouldn’t exist. Cx70 should be a TRIM of CX90
