I see no destruction of Islam. Islam is flourishing. Mosques everywhere are getting packed every Friday while churches all over the west are shutting down and being turned into bars, entertainment venues and mosques.😂 Attacking Islam will never save the your religion from continuing to decline to non-existence, nor will it save the buy-bull. What’s the point in continuing to buy the buII of the buy-buII anyway despite its contradictions which prove its fakery? It’s the handiwork of Iblis. Islam is the only way to heaven! Interesting theory.
In a nutshell, Thomas claims that Islam was an offshoot of anti-trinitarian Christianity. At some point, the offshoot turned into a new religion altogether when the Quran and the invented stories of the "new and last prophet" became more widely distributed among those Christians, who were at that point even willing to accept the new book and the "prophet". I wonder how the transition happened. Smoothly or enforced by the rulers.

Great work! We can see the anti-biblical/archaic pagan sacrificial spirit in the Abbasid interpretations and interpolations. Unlike the Bible, whose heroes are those who commit (or receive) terrible sins against their brothers but turn to God's mercy with a contrite heart, here, the vindictive law, lex talionis, worship of thumos and sacrifice of others to the glory of oneself are all restored to prominence.

    Great analysis.
One thing I appreciate especially from your analysis is that I would previously have believed that this story of Zayd and Zaynab is quite credible because it is embarrassing to Muhammad. Here you show that it serves a purpose of elevating Muhammad. And it also has echoes in prior scripture. It is curious that this elevation comes through a means that, since the beginning, has been used to bring disrepute on Islam. This is fodder for anti-Islamic polemics.
On stories that seem to repeat a previous scriptural story: One can say similar things about Zechariah and Elizabeth mirroring Abraham and Sarah. Or the gift of Mary to the Temple (from apocrypha that is followed in the Catholic and Orthodox churches) mirroring the gift of Samuel to the Temple.
A question can arise about the secular/salvation dichotomy: if one believes in a divine plan, then these seeming literary repetitions can become examples of divine, prophetic foreshadowing. So, the prototype of Sarah/Abraham is used by God to mark later events as holy and, as you say, salvific.
Did they happen? That is a harder question to resolve as objective history with an absence of corroborating information. Luke is our sole source for Zechariah/Elizabeth and the Protoevangelium of James is our source for the presentation of Mary to the Temple.

Go to Channel Useful Charts which explains the history of the Old Testament. The oldest stories like Abraham and Moses are myths. The realms of legend come with David and Solomon and then we get history. After Jesus's death, there were the gospels, then came many apocryphal stories and pseudo-gospels. Muhammad was illiterate and therefore unable to differentiate between any of these categories. As Useful Charts points out in its origins of the Quran post, the prophet stories in the Quran appear to be oral summaries of stories already orally summarised by others for an illiterate person to repeat. It is mentioned eight times in the Quran itself that the people Muhammad was preaching to realised that he was merely reciting 'legends of the ancients'.

According to the Biblical book Songs of Solomon, the covenant was transferred from the דּוֹדִֽים dwdym (David's people or the Jews - Songs 5:1) to the מַחֲּמַדִּים mhmdyim (Muhammad's people - Songs 5:16). (Both words are Hebrew masculine, plural NOUNS which the Christian translators have rendered as the adjective, lovely in their translations to hide the transfer of the covenant.). The Hebrew plural, masculine nloun suffix 'ym' is used to denote the people of the nation to which the proper noun refers as in Moabym or Moabites מּוֹאָבִים, Ammonites or Amonym עַמֹּנִים, Egyptians or Mitsrym מִּצְרִים, Chaldeans or Chasidym כַּשְׂדִּים, Lydians or Lydym לוּדִים etc. The words mhmdym and dwdym are unique and only used once each in the entire Bible as derivatives of the roots dwd, meaning beloved, and hmd (mhmd) respectively. So, one expects the translation to also be unique. The words dwdym and mhmdym constitute a synonymous parallelism which references the covenant relationship between these 2 peoples. The dwdym or Jews were the last ancient Semitic people to hold this covenant before it was transferred to the mhmdym or the Muslims who were and are Muhammad's people. In addition, the Palestinians are the original Jews as they carry the haplotype J1c3d. The Ashkenazi who control Palestine are not Semites. So, Palestinians, the native inhabitants for more than 5000 years, are the rightful owners of Palestine according to history, genetics and the bible.
The control of the land of Israel was based on the contingency that those bound by the covenant would obey the law (Torah) and worship the One, True God. According to the Bible, the Jews failed to abide by the covenant conditions. The last straw was when they attempted to murder the Prophet, Jesus (as). Matthew 21:43 has Jesus declare: "Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." So, it is clear that Jesus confirmed the prophecy in Songs 5 and the covenant was taken from the dwdym (David's people) and given to the mhmdym (Muhammad's people). The Mhmdym (Muslims) fulfilled the messianic expectations of the Jews when they created an empire that stretched from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean. The Mhmdym also rebuilt the former temple as Masjid Al Aqsa on the site which the Christian had deliberately defiled to dishonor the Jews and their god, Yhwh.
Songs is an allegory with many different levels of meaning. The poem is symbolic. The groom is symbolic of the king who ruled Judah, and who was a member of the dwdym or David's people. The bride represents the people of the covenant. The love between the spouses represents the covenant. Dwdym (David's people) represents the original people of the covenant or Jews. The Mhmdym represent the people of Muhammad to whom the covenant is transferred when the bride addresses her groom as Muhammadim or the people of Muhammad.. The bride, who is symbolic of the people of the covenant, switched her allegiance from the king who was both the ruler of and a member of the dwdym (David's people) to the Muhammadim (Muhammad's people) because the Muhammadim were the recipients of the new covenant. The covenant was transferred to the Mhmdym because the Jews rejected Jesus and his message. This new covenant was the means through which Allah (swt) made Muhammad the founder of a nation whose empire stretched from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. The achievements of the Muhammadim fulfilled the messianic expectations of the Hebrews. Songs is a prophecy that the Law or Torah was to be expressed through a covenant between the deity and the people who were committed to the purified Torah which became known as the Shariah, the law or Torah of the Muslim ummah. Allah's (swt) promises are always true, Subhanallah.

    Mattew 7:13
John 3:13 (Jesus said)No one ascended into heaven. but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which was from the heaven.
Why do we grow old and die?
GOD did not want humans to die. Our first parents, Adam and Eve, were created with a perfect mind and body. They could still be alive today. This is clear from what God said to Adam about a tree growing in the garden of Eden.
God said to Adam:“The day you eat [from the tree] you will surely die.” Genesis 2:17. This command would have been meaningless if Adam had been created to grow old and die. Adam knew that if he did not eat from that tree, he would not die.
GOD'S PURPOSE WAS NOT THAT PEOPLE DIE.
God said to Adam:"Eat your bread with the sweat of your brow until you return to the ground from where you were taken.for you were dust and you will become dust. ”
    Genesis 3: 17-19
As a result,“all the days of Adam's life were nine hundred and thirty years and he died.”Genesis 5: 5. Adam did not go to heaven or hell.Or live in a spiritual realm.
    What is the Resurrection?
    The Bible's answer
In the Bible, the Greek word translated "resurrection" means "to stand" or "to restore." The resurrected person is resurrected from the dead and is the same person who was before. 1 Corinthians 15:12, 13.
It is true that the word "resurrection" is not found in the Hebrew Scriptures, which are known as the Old Testament, but the promise of resurrection is there. For example, through the prophet Hosea,God promised:“I will rescue them from the hand of the grave, and I will rescue them from death.” Hosea 13:14; Job 14: 13-15; Isaiah 26:19; Daniel 12: 2, 13.
Where will people be resurrected? Some people will be resurrected to live in heaven. There they will reign with Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5: 1; Revelation 5: 9, 10.The Bible calls this resurrection "the first resurrection" and the word "first" makes it clear that there will be another resurrection. Revelation 20: 6 That other resurrection will be for the living on paradise earth, and most of the dead will be resurrected in this way.
    Psalm 37:29.
How are the dead raised?God gave Jesus the power to resurrect the dead. John 11:25. Jesus will bring to life “all those in the memorial tombs,” each with his own personality, attributes, and memories.
    John 5:28, 29.
Some will be resurrected to live in heaven, while others will be resurrected to live on paradise earth with perfect and healthy bodies. Isaiah 33:24; 35: 5, 6. 1 Corinthians 15: 42-44, 50
They multiply priests and saints with sad faces pile up, perform miracles, cast out demons. But Jesus said,The tree is known by its fruit.
    MATTHEW
    7: 21-23:

    Matthew 7: 15-20
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 By their fruits ye shall know them.Do they gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?17 So every good tree bringeth forth good fruit;and an evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.20 Ye shall know them by their fruits.

There is extensive historical critical literature on the bible and the origin of the diversity of judaism or christianity. On that topic academic jewish, christian or atheist scholars work together. Most christian scholars have no problem with e.g. "the coin in the fish"-miracle being a classic eastern myth. That is because the religious truth is not a holy book or a cognitive truth, and even less so in modern judaism. There seems to be nothing like that in the muslim world. Even a little hint of the quran not being perfect (as it obviously is!) seems to be considered blasphemy and very hard for muslims to take in.

For Sunnis there was revelation that was not part of quran. That is why the sunnah can abrogate a ruling in the quran. So all of Quran is revelation. but not all of revelation is or became (based on your theology) Quran.
Shias believe in the muhamadean light. All prophets and Imams have access to this light which allows them to be infallible. Some early Shias believed that revelation continued on with Ali and the Imams. Other Shias believe that access to this light give more prophetic inspiration.

I have enjoyed your videos immensely Thomas but I have a question about a previous video and the verse "I have made your birthing legitimate" which is the Syriac translation that you give (when Mary gives birth to Jesus) in opposition to the orthodox rendering "I have set a stream at your feet". After consulting the rest of the verse in the Quran it seems to me that the more likely translation is the orthodox rather than the Syriac. The remainder of the verse goes on - "I have set a stream at your feet and a tree beside you full of dates, shake the tree and then drink and eat at your pleasure" or something like that. I wondered if you had any response to this, and is this just an anomalous situation where the Syriac translation is incorrect or an indication that there is something wrong with the German/Syriac thesis at large. Cheers.

TBH, it's been a while since I've read the Luxenberg translation, but he never only picks out individual passages but looks at them in the larger context. There's a lot more to this. Luxenberg shows that in context, Mary's biggest fear was that her birth would be seen as illegitimate. So it was important to remove that fear. Then, afterwards, she's told to eat and be happy.
Luxenberg has a long chapter on it in his book on the Syro-Aramaic reading of the Koran.

@@TAlexander The idea that the early stages of Islam evolved out of an anti-trinitarian form of Christianity seems very compelling, I am amazed that I've never encountered the idea before. Thank you for introducing it to me, because I've been thinking of nothing else for days. However, there are some stories in the the formulation of early Islam that seem to be quite detrimental to the character of the prophet. The stories I'm thinking about are the situation where he marries the wife of his (adopted) son, as you mention in this video, and also the story of Aisha's potential infidelity. Both times the prophet receives a convenient message from God to resolve the situation. John baptising Jesus is taken as an embarrassing event and the fact that this is embarrassing is taken as evidence that this actually happened. I have wondered if these Mohammedan events should be taken likewise. They seem like strange things to make up.

    • @charlesiragui2473

@@extremaz9908 Even more compelling: Jesus's crucifixion. This would never be made up by his disciples. And of course this caused immense controversy for centuries. How could one pretend that God would be so shamed? This is one of the most powerful arguments against the odd contention that Jesus was not crucified (for instance, as most Muslims have interpreted the Quran).
I would agree that these Muhammad stories seem embarrassing so have the ring of truth. But Thomas has given an alternative explanation: This tale, with shades of King David and Bathsheba, shows that Muhammad had no son and was therefore the final prophet.

⭐⭐⭐ *JESUS IS COMING VERY VERY VERY SOON* !🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺
The return of Jesus is at hand!
JESUS IS THE *ONLY WAY* TO HEAVEN!
    📖 John 14:6 says,
" Jesus says, 'I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES UNTO THE FATHER (in Heaven) BUT BY ME'.
*JESUS CHRIST* is the only, true way to Salvation! It’s the _free gift_ of GOD to all those who believe and trust Him!
*SALVATION* ! is the redemption of one’s soul from eternal destruction after death of man, on this earth, by the cleansing of the blood, and by the death and power of resurrection of Jesus Christ
    📖Acts.4:12 says.
*Salvation is found in no one else (except Jesus Christ),* *for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be* saved."
How is *_SALVATION_* gifted to man?
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
    📖John 3:3 says,
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be Born Again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
    How can a man be *BORN-AGAIN* ?
To be Born-Again in spiritual sense, is to die to our old sinful nature and be born-again in the spirit, to be holy, righteous with a new nature in Christ Jesus.
👉To be born-again, we need to repent & confess our sinful past for a holy future.
    What is *REPENTANCE* ?
👉 *_REPENTANCE_* ! Everyone born into this world is a Born-sinner. Human nature is a sinful nature. Sin in us has defiled us and has separated us from the Holy GOD!
We have to repent for all the unholy, lawless transgressions of God’s commandments done willfully or unknowingly, in order to obtain mercy and grace so that we might not be judged and fall into condemnation, the condemnation of eternal hell.
📖 Acts.3:19 says,..✔️Repent, then, and turn to GOD, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the LORD.
    What is *CONFESSION* of sins?
👉 *_CONFESSION_* ! The guilt of sin and it’s condemnation is rolled away if one truly regrets his sinful past and confesses them in the presence of Jesus Christ.
    📖Romans.10:9 &10
✔️That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
    📖 1 John, 1st chapter & verse 9 says..
✔️If we confess our sins, He (Jesus Christ) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins(every sin)...
The sole purpose of sending Jesus Christ into this world more than 2020 ago is this👇
    📖John.3:16-17 says "
👉 *GOD so loved the world* (us) that *He* (Father GOD) gave *His* only begotten Son *to die for us* ( our redemption ), that *whosoever believes in Him* (Jesus) *should not perish* (in hell) but *have everlasting life.*
👉 GOD has not sent His Son to condemn the world (us), but the world (we) through Him (Jesus Christ) might be saved.
