LOVE this video. I've been making African Flower Hexagons from written instructions, and was frustrated with a few mistakes I've been making. Your instructions are really clear and will help me to adjust what I've been doing, and definitely help me to not make those mistakes. Thank you!
I'm so glad to hear that the video was helpful for you! 🥰 Clear instructions can make a significant difference, especially when adjusting or correcting your work. If you ever have any questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with in your crochet journey, feel free to reach out. Happy crafting, and may your African Flower Hexagons turn out beautifully! 🌸🧶😊
YES! Reading the written pattern made made no sense because the squares I was looking at didn’t seem the same. It was making me do single crochets on the last two rounds which looked odd
I came here to make the same comment and I too was using the Heidi Bear written instructions. This video helped so much - I think the written instructions did not include a chain between the shells, and I was also glad to see how this video showed how to change colors, which is not something I have much experience with. I am making a lot of cotton coasters to improve my technique before I attempt a blanket or anything where I need to join the hexagons together. Thank you @AdoreCreaCrochet !
R1: mc, 2 dc, ch (repeat 6 times), close magic circle R2: change color, 2 dc, ch, 2 dc in each ch spaces from r1, repeat 6 times, slip stitch R3: in each ch space from r2, make 7 dc, ch1, repeat 6 times, slip stitch R4: change color, attach yarn to r2, ch3, ch in each of the 7 stitches from r3, dc in ch space from r2, repeat R5: to make a hexagon, change color, ch3, 3dc, (1dc,ch,1dc) in the same stich (corner) , dc in the next 7 stitches (remember the ch3 from previous round counts as a stitch

Thank you for the clear and quick video! I've been trying to learn from a couple other channels, but they are like 24 to 44 mins long, and/or no subtitles and while I'm sure tons of people enjoy listening to stories etc about the person's life, I'm just here to learn to make these hexagons! It's been frustrating trying to ff or rew to find the place I'm the pattern I need to get to. So, thank you very much! I'm subbing!❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! I completely understand how frustrating it can be to sit through long videos. I’m glad you found my video helpful! Your support means a lot, and I’m excited to have you as a subscriber! Happy crocheting! ❤️🧶

Of course! To make half a daisy, you'll want to follow the basic steps of a full daisy, but only complete half of the petals. But I will make sure to add this tutorial on my todo-list. Happy crocheting! 😊🌸
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it! ❤️ I’d be happy to help you with a half hexagon of the African flower. I hope to share a step-by-step guide soon! If you have any specific questions in the meantime, just let me know!
Thank You so much🥰I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial! While I don´t have a video tutorial on joining them, I can guide you through the basic steps of how I prefer to join them. Arrange your hexagons in the desired layout to create the final pattern. I use the Whip Stitch Join: With a tapestry needle, join by stitching through both loops of the corresponding stitches on each hexagon. This creates a nearly invisible seam. Single Crochet Join: Join with a row of single crochet stitches worked through both loops or back loops of the corresponding stitches on each hexagon. Remember to keep a consistent tension while joining to ensure a neat and professional finish. There are various methods and decorative stitches for joining, so feel free to explore and find the one that suits your project best. If you have a specific joining method in mind or need more guidance on a particular technique, let me know!
