I have tried out the updates to the Huntress Spear and it feels pretty good. Went ahead and slapped it on a status build and wouldn't you know, it works really well.
I loved seeing this and dident notice they did this change and have to say thats made me so happy, while krell axe will remain king because how fast that throw is and how strong electric is because its aoe but having other options is just so incredible, im praying and hoping they keep adding and changing things in a positive direction like this
I agree! Huntress spear is the ULTIMATE weapon for ritualist arch. The combo with primal trait and correct rings is awesome, it literally cleans all battlefield! Stormbringer mutator is mandatory.
Good showcase as usual. Fun to be back in remnant now with the event. Just made a archon/gunslinger explosives/mod build with the corrupted arbalest and full auto anguish. Absolutely melted the abberations on nightmare.
From my experience, the huntress spear bug seems to only happen when you stand still and thow. I usually strafe while throwing and it feels pretty awesome.
I’ve ADORED the new update and the changes to some archetypes’ damage bonuses - I’ve been loving a build similar to one of yours a while ago, Gunslinger/Handler focused on Quickdraw. My other favorite has been Ritualist and Challenger, which has been eating every piece of content in the game for breakfast - running it melee, ranged, mods, and hybrid.
Love the huntress spear, it just feels better than the axe as a weapon, the throws feel meatier and its easier to hit distant targets. that being said, krell axe with tainted blade when using the energized amy, it explodes for 4.4-6k as an opener... huntress spear cant seem to catch up to that damage. I do wonder if you could do like invader/ritualist and run miasma with that misfortune on the spear to make it just a pure up front throwing weapon for weakspot fights. could be fun, idk.
