I have white subway tiles in my kitchen and both bathrooms. One bathroom has the elongated subway. I really love subway tiles. My driveway is done in interlock stones and they are subway also, in a crosshatch pattern.
WOW on the stacked subway tile patterns both vertical and horizontal! That was a surprise to me. I never wanted subway tile but now I would consider that in the future! . I'm still not a fan of herringbone. My eyes don't feel like they can rest bc they keep zigzagging subconsciously.
Thanks for all the ideas and tips. I appreciate that you show lots of examples and pictures of products and applications in your videos. Also, the graphic of the different layout patterns was helpful. 👏🏻👍🏻
Great overview. Chose Key West seafoam turquoise tile similar to the Japanese glazed tile you show at 10:14 for kitchen backsplash for new home in Nokomis, Florida. Should see how it will look with white cabinets in about four months' time!
Wasn't a fan until we found a beautiful white tile with a slight design for our kitchen in our island home. White cabinets and grey marble countertops really work well with this style of tile. Love your vlogs!!!
I’ve never liked subway tile - every morgue on tv (see Sherlock, for example) is done up in subway tiles. Shudder! Although, with halloween on the horizon … 🎃

I found the patterns quite interesting and the colored tiles were so pretty!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Just remodeled my kitchen and thanks to Dezign Chickee, I discovered the stacked style and used it. Looks fantastic with handmade glossy 2x8 🥰
@@shirleya4510 :)... I love a handmade glossy tile!
My project with 2 by 8 vertically stacked came out great.
Lovely subway tiles
Love your tips - can we do a “how to coordinate floor, countertop, backsplash “ video ? 😊

I do love your videos. Love subway tile in all its variations and you showed countless fabulous examples. How can such variety be boring.
Thank you! Now I only lack a space to redo.... interesting patterns you presented to us!
Perfect video about subway tile ! Greece loves subway tiles!

Thank You Very Much.
I remember walking into a toilet once that had plain white subway tiles stack horizontally and thinking that I had stepped into an Excel spreadsheet!
😆🤣

I do love subway tile in all its iterations. And herringbone is always on my list. I may need you to guide me on tile for my odd bathroom.
Vow..
Thanks Olga

still not sold on subway but you do make it less boring
I’m here to open minds!! Lol
Hi
No one will ever talk me into using subway tiles. I've never liked them and never will. To each their own of course.
YES THEY ARE! Why the heck you woudl want the idea of a dirty subway station in your shower? have you ever seen a clean subway station?= No thank you!
Lovely but those colorful variations can cost a lot!
Subway tiles always remind me of public toilets.😠
And yet I didn't show any images of public toilets! Amazing feat, huh! :)
right?~ cause subway stations are what comes to mind when I picture clean 😆
I agree. They have no place in the home.
Beautiful design...
Thank you for sharing your great design... designchicki.
Thank you! Cheers!
