Just started learning charge blade two days ago, so I've been going through these videos and pausing/replaying bits every so often to figure out how different moves are being done and when they're used. Super handy, but also makes me feel like I have a looong way to go

Welcome! CB is fucking amazing weapon when you grasp some basic mechanics and how weapon works it will be fun as fuck... but don't think you will do what this guy does, it's on another level :P
I learned cb in base rise and it's sooo sick in Mhrs!! If you want an easy impact phial build go for a mix of narwal and ibushi armor, it gives every useful cb skill under the sun. For learning I can also recommend trying a para impact build, easy to get back to back Paras and KOs, makes you feel like a cb Chad real quick :)
Jesus. 2:19. That single hopper did over 3.2k damage. 1133 for the initial ax hit 400 for the ground explosion. Then 330+ for each of the 5 explosions That's great sword levels of damage.
I love what they've done to Charge Blade since World all the way to Sunbreak but I do sometimes miss the guradpoint into AED "spam" playstyle of 4U, it felt more strategical, more tactical I think, I don't think it was better, new Charge Blade is definitely more fluid but 4U's CB kinda had it's own fun way of playing. Great run as usual
But that's the thing you still can do that type of play style. Just pull left analog stick back with triangle. That's the great thing with CB there's so many different play styles with the same weapon. Axe hopper, aed, SAED, charged sword, elemental, raw so many options
@@chasegaetze4507 Agree, but as someone that always tries to challenger it's own time and try to beat it faster and faster that 4U playstyle just doesn't feel as strong as before, not to mention it shows that it's not as quick in order to beat a monster
I don’t understand 1:35 First it looks like you go into your wirebug guard before the AED animation is finished, but maybe I’m wrong and the timing was just spot on. Second, how do you go into normal axe morph after the wirebug guard? I thought the only possible actions were the sword charge with X or AED/SAED with X+A
Aki, how many hours would you estimate you have in Sunbreak so far? I'd lile to gauge just how far behind I am in terms of time played vs skill level lol
@@AkantoreX thanks man! I don't feel so bad now, I'm still fighting all these Master Rank fights for the first time right now and only have maybe 25 hours in Sunbreak so far. Hopefully one day I can play as cleanly and smoothly as you!
SAED while also having a bunch of Firing Pin phial charges stored up on the monster's head. Axe hits detonate those, so with a good buildup and an accurate SAED, you could see like 15 damage procs show up on their head lol
Not having fun bc the monsters are too fast ay. Just use savage axe for faster monsters and SAED with monsters u practice on. I've carted more here than I ever had in Iceborne lol

You should also check out the videos he made on the new moves in Sunbreak cus you see them quite a lot in this video.
I recommend going at a snails pace with this weapon. Better to learn everything slowly than to give up cause you're trying to rush it

When you use Firing Pin, you charge up Phial "detonation spots" on the monster with your sword, and then an axe swing will detonate them

Noob question, how to doing guard point on switch? I mean the button to perform it

I dont play on switch, but the move where you switch from sword mode into axe mode counts as an easy guard point
You can gaurd point in sword mode by pressing zR+X and in axe mode with zR.
