Perfect analysis Badal, want to add one thing here, I believe one more significant reason of persistent drop after WC Semis day is because the WC took all the hype that the movie had created. In current times, one reason behind any movie's extraordinary collection is hype, be it Pathaan, Jawan or Gadar 2. Further, both WC and Cinema are a source of entertainment and for sure, Cinema audience is a subset of Cricket audience. Neutral audiences watch movies for entertainment purposes only once in a while (not everyone is a moviebuff), and since the audience had WC as well this time, neutral audiences actually ignored Tiger 3.

290 Cr is not a bad figure at all. But given that it would not even cross the lifetime biz of its predecessor TZH, it cannot be denied that Tiger 3 underperformed at BO.
Despite having the highest grossing Day 1 collection at overseas for any Hindi film, it's overseas collections stands at 180 Cr while for Pathaan they were more than 600 Cr. If World Cup were the reason, then overseas collection would not have been affected so badly.
The reason for such abysmal performance is that the Spy Universe is already exhausting with repetitive formulae and dearth of new ideas. Hope they don't ever make Tiger vs Pathaan.

It is hard to accept but Tiger 3 is a Flop . Because hit and flop tag is provided only based on nett India Box office collection. Agar Overseas collection ko consider karke tag diya jata toh Zero, Fan, Jab Harry met Sejal sab hit movies hote, coz worldwide collection of all these movies are approx 1.25-1.5 times of budget. But sari movies ko Flop bola jata haii, only because of Nett India box office collection.

Budget is 350 crore per multiple sources. Jawan did 80 crore in India pak match day. If you can make excuses than whole night is there but the truth is Salman stardom is failing and the film was not good that’s all. You can sugarcoat though to feel better

I believe a movie should be considered hit when it makes a total net profit 1.5 times its budget, because if someone is investing 300crs he expects atleast 50 to 60cr profit so tiger 3 should have earned 450 crs net Worldwide (incl digital ,tv and music rights) after deduction of taxes and theatre share but i don't think it even went upto 350crs there.
but still compared to previous spy movie pathaan this movie has severly underperformed
Movie's doesn't get hit by the worldwide collection movie needs to earn more than 400 crs in india only to be hit. 600 to be blockbuster because of the budget
Global box-office don't count for Indian movies as there are no Indian global distribution house. The rights are sold and not a cent is earned by yrf. The collection are added with domestic to show a grand total to project the movie a hit.

"Box office" of a movie is determined by it's theatrical run. We cannot add ott and satellite rights, album sold etc to make it look like it did well. The harsh truth is it's a flop movie and that solely has to do with it's budget.
