St. Ouen en Rouen Vallié-Coll organ is the king of all organs. Even the best recording and audio equipment won't do justice to the sound of this organ in the Abbey. One must go and listen to it in the Abbey. This wonderful organ is perfectly matched to the church. It seems that the whole bulding plays the music together. I was amazed!

This organ is amazing. A sound like none other. There are larger organs and they have their good points, but this organ has a character that is just unbelievable.

Good grief! What a performance of the old warhorse. I still hold my view that S. Ouen has the finest organ in the whole known universe...

the greatest organ on the planet. Can't wait to hear it when it's back in action after the Abbey restoration, and the conservation of this great instrument.

What ever is the organ piece...like this one - these organs sound so amazing. And when one thinks that it is almost original some 130 years old. Naturally the church itself means a lot that the acoustics and organ fit together. Cavaille-Coll surely knew the issue.

The alternating voices heard starting about 4:36 or so are a pleasure to hear; they show of the softer side of this 1890 French organ masterpiece.

Interesting to hear my favorite instrument on this warhorse. she did great! I wonder what JS Bach would've made of those chamades! I bet he had heard of such exotic stops in far-off Iberia.

Creo que Bach nunca dimensionó las maravillas que hacen ahora con ellas, muchas gracias.

Bach wouldn’t know what to make of an organ that size. I think he’d like it.
