It's hilarious to me that a baby race(comparatively) like mankind was able to achieve biological immortality while the amazingly advanced Necrontyr figured out how to travel faster than light and create bodies for gods but just couldn't quite get biology down

Problem is immortality in 40k almost always requires some form of warp fuckery and the old ones had a monopoly on that until they made the elder and Krorks. Most biological options do extend the human life by a lot but unless your Cawl and continuously wipe your memory and repair yourself your gonna eventually reach a sell by date.
@@dustindubbo2892 biological immortality is absolutely possible according to the laws of physics. It's just something way beyond us in 2020. But absolutely possible. We can't even grow new organs and limbs in the lab yet

Yea I've always wanted that too. Something as in depth as the Horus Heresy novel series but it'll never happen. GW wouldn't invest so much in something that isn't marines/Imperium.

Rise of Ynnari retcons the old lore. Chaos Daemons DID fight and kill during the War in Heaven. At least one Necron Dynasty fought alongside the Eldar Empire
This was the answer a female Necron Overlord told a Ynnari Harlequin (or was it Warlock?) which shows how much knowledge was lost by the Eldar
Not all Necrontyr became Necrons. A group of living Necrontyr appeared and begun fighting Necrons

I like to believe that the Old Ones created the Tyranids to eliminate the Enslavers by eating their hosts and recover the genetics of fallen races. Like all the Old Ones more questionable creations, forgot the off switch.

Well there are some possible explanations to the necrontyr not having the evolutionary defences for radiation.
one being that their ancestors never had to deal with radiation until recently which is why their only defence is having just enough radiation resistance just to live on the planet.
If not that then they may have had underground societies from the get go which would have limited their radiation intake there fore they wouldn't be as well adapted.
Of course there may have been a situation where there were necrontyr who did adapt properly in the lower classes which could have been seen as a threat by any necrontyr of nobility and thus they were exterminated.
That or GW just doesn't sell enough necrons to actually care to explain this shit

In my 40k universe, old ones evolves old earth apes into humans with black cube thingy after Eldar and Krork losses to lot of C'tan gods(even when Eldar Warp magics and Krork Waaagh does decent job turning those C'tan gods into shards) and necrons, too bad when working on evolving apes into humans, Old Ones got wipe out by Void Dragon(just before it's shattering by Eldar god vaul(using blackstone fortress for it's vessel) into c'tan shards) seeding early humans with pariah genes.
Oh and I also headcannons Mars become dead red planet during War in Heaven from overpowered extinction event happen same time with earth's Cretaceous-tertiary extinction event

Throwback to that theory that the Tyranids were actually created by the Old Ones as a weapon to wipe away the Milky Way galaxy clean and allow them to move back in and start over. Doesn't make too much sense with the fact that they are actually incredibly shit at killing Necrons and Necrons would obviously be the Old One's first priority in dealing with them, but interesting nontheless and very much possible due to hints that a few Old Ones may have managed to escape the galaxy before everything went to shit.

I don't know why Gee Dubs never weaponised the lore from the early days, and made a game for it. Enslavers as an army would be sick. Also you could have old Ones and actual Ktan's (F knows how you spell it, I'm not really Necron guy... I am tempted to start an army though now that silent king kit is out) at full strength, but it would take place after most were destroyed, to keep the power level in check.
I reckon it would make for a good game, Krork's, Pre Nerf Eldar, Old Ones, Enslavers, Primordial Chaos, allsorts of good shit. I know there's a enough there to make an entire game like 40k with the Lore surrounding just the war on Heaven.
