    The Tissot is the better watch in probably every aspect. But the Citizen just looks better to me. 😅

      The tissot is ugly imo. Very flat on the wrist. Their gentleman is so much better.

    Citizen fan here, but the waffle dial and darker green makes the Tissot my favorite of theses two. The Tissot bracelet matches the case better than the Citizen.

    Got my blue Citizen Tsuyosa this week - $240 with free shipping from Masters In Time. So far so great. While I prefer the PRX’s case, I am not crazy about the waffle dial. Also, the Citizen’s President-style bracelet is really nice. For under $300 the Citizen is a solid choice. Great review!

      Citizen as a brand mastered the art of slimness with their slimmest solar powered watch having an ultra-slim case measuring from 2.98mm to 3.88mm thick.Offcourse that one is much more expensive since it holds ground breaking engineering.However I feel this citizen has its own feel as its design elements are completely different than the PRX looking more dressy than casual.For that reason I wouldn't personally mind having both.The Citizen with a plain white dial and the Tissot with a waffle black dial.

  • @HuyTran-su2zp
    @HuyTran-su2zp ปีที่แล้ว +2

    IMO these watches serve different purposes but have many similarities. The Tsuyosa leans more towards dressing up with the Datejust style dial and the semi circular polished links. The PRX feels more sporty and casual with sharper looking edges and flat brushed links. While both can be sporty when dressed down and dressy when paired with smart attires, I think the Tsuyosa will be more suited to people who mostly wear business/business casual and the PRX for people who go for casual looks often. I prefer the quartz PRX though, because of the quartz aspect (thinness and readiness) and the flat simple dial.

  • @paceyombex
    @paceyombex 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I used to be pulled into the Tsuyosa, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like it's not really _that_ good. The movement is still the 8000 series with inconsistent specs (some hack, some don't), the crown operation must not be pleasant, and more.
    Idk, it's still a great value if you're looking for an integrated bracelet design. But, if you're not that crazy into that style, other options exist.

    I’d like to know your thoughts about the fact that Tissot prx powermatic 80 cannot be served, the movement have no traditional regulator!
    I mean what’s the point in buying an automatic watch where you can’t do a proper service on the movement? The new Tissot movements are disposable!

    Something about the PRX face just feels a bit clunky. The proportions are stiff. And I love my Gentleman. If they would have brought the face in quicker to the bracelet, perhaps it would have worked, but there's just a bit too much around the face in general. Got the yellow Tsuyosa and can't find anything not to like other than the extra 5 seconds it takes to set the time and date...

  • @Nefville

    Citizen is one of my absolute favorite brands, the 0200 is my grail watch but this one is a bit too much of a mish-mash of other iconic watches for me. Unfortunately I can't pull either off with my dainty wrist but I will say the PRX is my favorite of the two just because of the finishing. And they do make a stellar green/ teal dial 35mm PRX that I could pull off. So a win for Tissot. Great comparison btw, totally nailed everything I would have asked or wanted to know.

    The Tissot has a much cleaner look I feel. The lack of a date magnifier and the smaller dial that fits into the tonneau case gives it better proportions than the Citizen. The subtle colour on the Tissot along with the textured waffle dial really is a lot more flexible choice wise too I feel. Both nice looking Watches but, my vote goes with the Tissot PRX. Great comparison Rob. ✊

    The TISSOT movement in this watch with 23 jewels has resin escapement parts. This is garbage in watchmaking and you don't want to have this in your watch :) Only powermatic 80 movement with 25 jewels is worth to buy.
