@@SarahKey I think its because the more recent amiibos have these things inside the box under the amiibos that makes them unscanuble so that way the buyers actually open the box containig the amiibo.

I got a pre-owned Piranha Plant a while ago that sits next to my irl carnivorous plants. If you want to try training the Smash-compatible ones up at some point, there are plenty of resources and guides around online. It can be slightly more difficult if you don't play the character, and some amiibo ais are better than others, but imo it's really fun! I had a fair bit of trouble training up my Samus since I don't really play zoners, but she's decent enough now.
After opening 200 amiibo boxes throughout the years, I don't think I ever got one that opened correctly. Never tried from the bottom though. Thank for the tip!
I recently bought a figure in similar packaging to an amiibo, but they made the front piece of plastic large enough to hold the piece of cardboard instead so you could slide it out. I would've loved if Nintendo had done something like that. (I'd also agree you have the best amiibo collection of all time, Sarah. Who needs anything else when you have Xenoblade and Kingdom Hearts)

My sister has the Sora amiibo and she could not be more excited, she even made a pedestal for Sora. Honestly your collection of amiibo’s is waaaay better than mine… I have a bowser and rosalina amiibo and I hate both of them. (I lost them, or I’d try to destroy them…) and on the opening the box situation, just ignore what everyone says about not opening it, it’s your amiibo and you can do whatever you want with it. Plus they were meant to be taken out of the boxes, sometimes people are just drama queens about it… so do whatever you want to do and don’t listen to them! Also have a great day! :)

And on a special occasion I grabbed the Cloud one with the outfit from Advent children because I dig that outfit sooooo much :3 and all dem Samus'!
FREE THEM!! Amiibos are really a weird thing because you really need to decide if you want to take them out of the box or not. There's no inbetween. Also yes your selection is nice but I would highly recommend that you get both Cloud and the Sephiroth amiibo as well. They pair really nicely with Sora and the advent children cloud actually shows up in KH2 so you could pass him as KH character lol
I'm never reselling my amiibos, so no point keeping them in a box. Perceived value means nothing if I'm not actively trying to profit off of it. So I have no shame opening my amiibos and enjoying them on my shelf, never to be touched again until I move out.
