It also covers other stages in the installation process, including the installation of vapour control layers, protection layers and paving slabs. The video demonstrates the installation of a ballasted terrace system, however other build ups can be used with the Kingspan OPTIM-R Roofing System, including the use of tapered insulation to provide falls and adhered waterproofing systems.
When installing the Kingspan OPTIM-R Roofing system please refer to the advice given in the Kingspan OPTIM-R Roofing Installation guide and handling guidance provided with the product. For more information please download the Kingspan OPTIM-R Roofing System brochure from www.kingspaninsulation.co.uk/optim-r.
Can you make a video of how to install Optim-R in a cathedral ceiling? From below, or from above (for new construction or when the roof needs replacing anyway), or showing both options?

Optim-R is very impressive, but why would anyone insulate an outdoor terrace?
Hi Sam, usually when constructing a terrace area for a refurbishment or a new build above a heated room/habitable space, there will be a requirement to put insulation in the deck of the balcony/terrace. This also helps the thermal efficiency in the room below. Why would a terrace or balcony need insulation? It's outdoors. The insulation does nothing. ???
