- Part 3 of our Philippines dream house is now up. This is a full walkthrough of the house and land where we show the progress made so far and our future plans for the house. As explained in the video Jane has put in 100% of the money for the house to date and we are building it together for our future home.
We have commitments and a child along with a house and all the usual bills in the UK. We aim to show that you can still make your dreams come true and plan for the future. You do not need a big budget to build if you are patient and find the right builders and people you can trust.
We will provide insight and tips on how you can build your own dream house from next to nothing!

Your house is going to be beautiful when it's finished and such a magnificent view! I'm particularly impressed by the fact that it is Jane who financed all of this! My ex-wife was pennyless when I met her and she now has a similar house (7 bedrooms - 3 bathrooms) on 1050m² of land, for which I paid a total of 5M PHP. When I divorced her, the master bedroom was still unfinished and it will cost her quite a bit to finish that. We have been divorced for almost 5 years now and as far as I know it is not yet finished. Oh my! Why am I raving on about my misfortune? You look like a great couple and I'm sure you are going to be very happy in your dream house! Success to you both!

@@TharaLetzISLANDER The jury is still out on that one! 1 1/2 year after my divorce I entered into a long distance relationship with an other Filipina. It lasted for 2 years, but then I started recoginsing behavioural patterns that I had also seen in my wife and terminated the relationship. Once bitten, twice shy!
Well hopefully you find the right one for you,,,what a sad story,, don't lose hope!

@@simplehumblelifephilippine429 Panglao is nice. We stop the building for now as we are back in the UK so we save up money and then maybe continue again when we are there.

Alrite pal. I have no idea what Jane does for work, but she is to be congratulated on spending her hard earnt wisely. We all know so many Filipinos who return after years abroad with enough to buy just a scooter and an iphone. The house looks brill, but I'm commenting before it is finished hehe. I suggest you put coat hooks under the stairs, you need as much open space as possible in that entrance and building storage might keep it dark. Anyway, all the best for your future. Alex.

It's too many walls I like open spaces. But it's not finished yet so it's hard to tell just yet. I like it also because of two story House ... good luck can't wait to see when it's done and with furnitures

I'm from Ormoc city, I visited last year, I like this neighborhood. Where is this located in ormoc. Did you hire an architect in ormoc. If so how much does it cost? The house is looking good now..
It's a very big project and will look great once its finished.
The cost so far is about 2 million php.
Does that include labour charges too.
And how many locals do you employ at a time...
Our house footprint will be 77 sqm and two storey..but am trying to get a rough idea of cost..
We are coming home next year...2020 to get plans drawn up.
And then hopefully start building in mid June 2020.
Hope you can give me a rough estimate.

It looks like it will be a beautiful house when complete. The last video was 2016, this one is 2018? Why is it taking so long? I'm no expert in construction but it seems longer than you would expect.
Thanks for watching. We did explain in the video why the progress was slow. We haven't borrowed money and don't have vast savings or anything. Jane has put in all of the money to date. We aren't rich. We will have a very meaningful update next year though and will be a big surprise.

It cost a lot. It's on going so cost can be depend on currency exchange rate.
