Another well planned and shot film, the L&HR is off the radar of railway enthuiast, quitely going about it's business but it travels through some of the best scenery in the UK, which is also a good place for a dog to enjoy a walk, is that right Lucky ?
The line beyond Haverthwaite was lost to road courtesy various authorities, just like end of Dart Valley and the early attempt to preserve Westerham Valley (M25 in that case). Similar problem for big railway now trying to restore Bedford-Cambridge, however Lancashire authorities were far sighted enough to preserve route of Colne-Skipton after 1970 closure which could be feasible to reopen to cut down freight mileage amongst other benefits

There cannot be many railways where you can step off of the train, walk across the platform and board a beautiful steam boat. Nice filming as always.

Love your film, I just wished this Railway would extend its running line.
M18 Tank destroyer , unfortunately they surrounded, with the main road cutting the old line down to the mainline, and Windermere at the other end.
