I smoke for it’s medical uses and not for recreational uses I still love god and promised him I’d never get addicted to it I take tolerance breaks and do whatever I can to not let it get to me there’s no way anything I’m doing is wrong sitting there saying that smoking it AT ALL is a sin would be you just lying. It’s all on your intentions with it and your dependency with it .
I smoked weed for thirty years or more. I gave my life to Jesus and haven't smoked since. The desire just left me. Praise God!

Same here bro. I just quit about a few months ago. For a while the devil tried to tempt me in my dreams. But I'm much stronger than that now. I don't even desire it anymore.

What a missed opportunity to minister ( not shame) to these young men. Just because somebody gives their heart to Jesus and is saved doesn't mean they change overnight. Everyone's journey is different. These boys were looking for the right things maybe not in all the right places. If I remember my Bible, Jesus commands us to love one another as He has loved us, and that's how people will know that we are true disciples of Christ. I pray these boys found strong leadership in the church they were attending and they weren't discouraged to keep searching and learning about Jesus. God's grace is powerful and LOVE covers a multitude of sin. ❤️

For me it has been a long battle.. I still slip constantly! But. I spend much more time sober with Jesus in my life than I ever have.

As a young man, high on marijuana, l prayed and offered my soul to Satan to play the guitar. I thought nothing happened, but soon noticed weird paranoid thoughts. I also played the guitar for hours when high. 15 years later after smoking dope daily l became a Christian. I had to be healed and delivered to break the dope addiction. 15 years later at an Alter call l went forward for prayer to share the gospel and in prayer it felt like a giant python was coming out my stomach. The pastors wife who was praying with us said " its coming out his stomach" then when it left an amazing anointing came upon me for several minutes until l couldn't take it any more and asked God to stop, l was sobbing with joy by now. Soon after at the age of 50 for the first time in my life l began to be able to write worship and praise songs and l am 66 now. God is amazing ❤❤❤

Deliverance is real. I wish more people that are believers would seek deliverance for pain and suffering instead of a mind/mood altering substance with no biblical ground!

I smoked weed for a long time. I told myself that it makes me feel better, that it helps me focus, that it takes away my pain. I would say, I can follow Jesus and still smoke. Over the years God has shown me the negative effects weed has on me. The laziness, the overeating, the forgetfulness. Those things were keeping me from being close to Him and kept me from being what He has planned for me. It's a process, but God is good

I'm 49 and been smoking since 15 , over the past yrs from construction working my body has been sending very intense pain . I also tell myself it helps with the pain and with my Bipolar schizophrenic depression . But I NEED to be GODS 💯% and don't think I can be smoking. I want to stop but the pain and my emotions are keeping me doing it . I NEED MUCH PRAYERS . PLEASE 😢 ,

@@mikeDeSales943 Why are you bringing up morphine in a conversation about weed? Weed comes from the plant group Cannabis and morphine comes from the Papaver group, which is another plant. Granted to make morphine you need to process it a lot, however, with weed, just dry it out, one requiring a lab the other requiring just a green thumb. lol
@@DahliaLegacy That's not the point, the point is that morphine and marijuana are both from plants that are used for a certain purpose for medical reasons, and some people use them for recreational purposes too, which clearly are not okay. Now of course I realize that morphine is far worse. That's just what I was getting at.

Black light posters, and irrelevant small talk, is recreational. I know no adults that consider weed recreational, only adults who are still kids.

🙌❤ I got saved about a month ago and thought I could still smoke once in a while and it would be fine… but I kept getting this feeling it was wrong. We know what’s wrong and right in our hearts. I quit smoking a couple of weeks ago and normally would have a really hard time quitting, but I prayed and prayed for God to deliver me from any addiction. I’ve had no desire to smoke since🙏🙌

Exactly. If something is beneficial to the body and spirit it can't be bad. The Torah no where says thou shall not use Cannabis. The Torah says the Sabbath day is the 7th day of the week but Christians claim the first day of the week is the Sabbath. Those PPL are in more violation of the Torah than using cannabis.

You are right but it also says to be sober minded. My use has been for terrible insomnia which works. I prefer edibles and use it responsibly. Never over indulge and I use indica which is more body mind relaxing than the sativa strain.sativa is very mind altering and therefore is not used.

I smoked weed for years and tried to stop on my own but I couldn't. Until one day I met Jesus at a little church and was delivered from all my drugs. Praise His Holy Name. What He done for me HE will and Can do for anyone who calls on Him. Never been the same since
For everyone struggling to stop smoking, you got this! God does not love you any less. Don’t be so hard on yourself just keep on trying! I just got close to God recently so i know that i am a work in progress. I will one day ill stop smoking as well. But until then I am going to continue to know God.

As a previous weed head who loved smoking and did it every day and as a previous dealer, this is 100% truth. My spirit and my mind cleared up the moment I stopped smoking. Jesus is enough. The brain fog, the increased depression and anxiety that comes with it (also scientifically proven) all went away.. It was a hard thing to give up, but no regrets

I trust the medicinal purposes of cannabis than the prescription drugs that are fed us. As someone who has been on antidepressants since I was 16 I battled my demons constantly because it didn't help, actually made my suicidal thoughts worse. At age 25 I stopped taking my antidepressants and just smoked weed and I honestly never felt better. I don't sleep for 12+ hours, I don't feel like a zombie when I'm awake and I now have energy. I thank God for this amazing plant, but moderation is key with everything.

Once I started talking to God more and more I stopped... it was weird, Everyone I was around said "its very weird you don't smoke anymore, why did you stop ?" and all I could say is 'I don't really know, I just made a promise with God' and I'm sure people think about it and its strange but It's an Awesome feeling.. Its a Miracle

God gave us a plant that has been shown to help most issues in some way. Yes, don't spend all your time getting high, but does that mean prohibition? Hardly.
This pastor is a Pharisee, adding laws to the law. Look at what the apostles told the first gentile believers to do. It wasnt "follow the law", and yet you're adding laws to the law we're not even expected to follow.

Perhaps your problem is that you are trying to quit drinking in your own strength. Read your Bible every day; pray without ceasing for your release from the demon of alcohol; resist and reject the demon whenever it tries to torment you. Jesus has the power to release you, and He will if you want Him to do it. But you need a closer relationship with Him. Derek Prince (you'll find him on TH-cam) has a series of sermons on how demons opress and torment people. God bless, and get close to Him Who can release you.
That's honest mate. I had many addictions (drugs, tobacco, medic pills) and the Lord deliver me during last years. It took time but now i am free, i wish the same for you.

Don’t run away from Him, He is your only solution. You can still have a relationship with Him and He’ll take away your desire to drink.
I have been struggling with this issue since I was saved. I justified it for as many here in the comments. I stopped drinking and taking pain meds. My life improved.I was just smoking weed. I have fasted from it and went back. The effect when I restarted was intense. Last week I asked the Holy Spirit to give it to me straight. I then happened upon a saying by Plato of all people. It is not how much you have, but how little you need. It struck me that I'm in bondage to weed. It's about being chained to it. He breaks all chains. When you justify sin it becomes bondage with you as it's defender. Don't underestimate the Adversary. Work out your salvation with trembling brothers and sisters.

Thank you for sharing! I agree. We are in bondage... and continue to use drugs to feel better, when following a Godly natural diet like our ancestors ate is the true cure for illness and suffering. There's a reason why Keto and Carnivore diets have become very popular today.

I disagree with this completely , God works on everyone in his own timing . We don’t change over night . He changes our hearts and he convicts each person for different things at different times . That man probably does know Jesus , but Jesus hasn’t changed that part of him yet . God saved me from a severe meth addiction . He has been changing me and healing me .Transfomring my life Over the past 8 years . I smoke weed sometimes amd no one can try to convince me ever that I don’t know Jesus . If God doesn’t want me to smoke then he will convict me and cause me to want to stop . He convicts me big time when I slip up and have a cigarette or when I am talking bad about people or thinking bad thoughts about people . I don’t think anyone has the right or authority to claim that someone does or doesn’t know Jesus and that shouldn’t even be our focus . God can use anyone to reach someone .

Does that mean that individuals who take pharmaceuticals for heart disease or high blood pressure or diabetes are practicing witchcraft and going against God? I am not playing with semantics here. I just want to be clear on what he is saying! It's a serious question with no ill intent. Would someone be able to clarify exactly what he means by stating that pharmaceuticals are not the way of God? I personally love Jesus Christ and it was because of him that gave me the courage to overcome drinking alcohol and face what was causing me to do so! I would also like to add that I love this world! And I'm learning to love every person that I encounter. These individuals these people humans if you will, are part of this world of which God created. Again, I'm not clear on what he is trying to make a point on.

Even the conscious convicts lost people, sin is known even before Jesus comes in. No excuses.
And yet still I find truth in this sermon. There are things we will be convicted of we have not been convicted of yet. I don't totally disagree agree with this guy or o totally agree with this guy I found that opinionated and not of God but some of what you said I did feel of God in it. As for the pastor the fruits are not done in him you are correct but As Christian the fruits will be present in you and mabe that's not the way to do guys. I smoke weed too I am a work in progress desperately clinging to hope and to life to be changed inside and out to be saved I repent everyday and if you ask me if I know Jesus I would say I hope Jesus knows me he does but he is very disappointed in me also and just because he hasn't convicted you yet doesn't mean it's his will not too. Seeds bring fruits in you. What the pastor us saying is getting around smoking weed and reading scripture with a bunch of people doesn't sound like the way to do it. There are portals doors through movies t.v music games drugs the world loves stuff we struggle with the world but we need to love on more. But to match the love Jesus has for us or you or me perfect and we can never touch that but with the struggle between the earth the flesh the spiritual. We should strive for it. Jesus Christmas the only hope we gave left. Its not perfect with what I'm saying but let's all love and pray for each other that's what I'm saying.
I used to smoke like a chimney, all day weed and coffee. But the Holy Spirit has been widdling my habits down exponentially these last few years.
If the church feels like it should tell people whether or not to smoke weed, it’s missing the point.
As soon as the pastor judged & said they don't know Jesus, he lost. Many pastors can't help but put themselves on a pedestal, which shows they've been compromised by pride.

I used to smoke weed. But I think Jesus doesn't want me to do it. For several reasons. Thank you Jesus for giving me the strength to quit. I also haven't drank alcohol in over 10 years.

Proud of you. Same here, I did it by going to church and the feeling just went away. This Pastor did it all wrong. I left church because some one told me I didn't love Jesus. He should of showed Love. Love is the greatest one of all, he died for us cause he Loved us. This preacher is not in the spirit. Who ever that young man was, he can talk about Jesus all he wants, until God opens he's eyes wide. Then they will see what they have to let go of. Hope dude is still believing on love. I'm disappointed on this man of God. But God says pray for them. They know not what they do. Prayers for us to show love in this world and not think we're better then anybody. I'm officially 1 year sober from Alcohol, Cigarettes, Drugs. I was in bondage for 24 years. Jesus the son of God Delivered me from bondage.
If god has a problem with my cannabis consumption, he and i will work it out...
I agonize over this myself. I went through a period where I felt like God was telling me to stop so I did. I believe it was a crutch that I was using and using to much. I do believe that I wouldn't be where I am today without it though and that's alive and alive in Jesus through his sacrifice on the cross.
I'm diagnosed as BPD and have severe ptsd and adhd. My mind is in constant chaos for lack of a better word. When I was high I did feel more at peace and I could think more clearly and actually connect more with God.
I read a lot of these comments from those against and can't help but feel like you have no idea what you are saying as well as scripture being used out of context. You have no idea what it's like to live like a monster. I keep coming back to when Paul told Timothy to drink wine to help with his ailments. Wine is specifically forbidden in scripture to pastors such as Timothy but yet Paul tells Timothy to take wine. I'm sure Timothy didn't take that to mean drink up and get drunk but would drink wine as needed for his ailment. Scripture says to be sober minded but what does that mean to those whose minds are in chaos? Am I more sober minded if I'm calm or am in his Will when I'm at my worst?
After a while when I quit I found myself being very agitated, thoughts of violence, desperation etc. At that point I felt like He was telling me that it was ok if I didn't abuse it like I was doing. I take it in small quantities like micro-dosing. Enough to calm my mind but not feel high all the time like I used to.
I honestly think it's between you and Him. I don't want to condone it for anyone. I think in most instances it is wrong but I do think that it can help some that have mental issues especially as it relates to having a calm or sober mind vs having a mind in chaos. I've noticed in some comments that prayer and worship have been better and I can agree with that and have felt it myself. I feel more connected and calmer. I still have my bad days but I try to fight through it and only use when I feel really out of control with my emotions.
I really only want to serve him so I just offer my perspective. I offer my comments in love and hope that I wouldn't lead anyone astray. Please pray about it. Maybe for some it's ok when it's used correctly. I can't believe that he would condone the use in recreation or just being high. I honestly never liked being high but it was better then living my life in chaos and deep depression and suicidal idealization. For now I only take enough to calm my mind.
For those that really don't know what it's like to be in that state of mind that you would seriously pray before spouting off on those who really struggle and have issues that you can't even begin to comprehend. For me being in a world of violence and sexual abuse as a child from someone that claimed to be a Christian it is a slap in the face when I hear just give it to God or beat over the head with a scripture that may or may not be used correctly is not a help for those that really need help. The damage to the brain not to mention the lack of development in brains can prohibit those who have been through this kind of trauma. I can't control my emotions because of the damage to my brain and trauma I've endured. Can God cure me? Absolutely I believe that, but God doesn't always cure does he? Paul himself lived with a thorn in the flesh. Like Paul I know that his grace is sufficient for me. Like Timothy sometimes what is considered by most to be a sin is actually a help. To often the church falls into legalistic thinking and base theology more on traditions and stigmas vs what scripture actually says. To often people like myself are condemned by those whose own minds they understand, but don't have the capacity to understand the mind of abused victims. This is only my perspective and there are others that have their own such as pain management or other debilitating diseases and such. I won't judge them because of it and quite frankly we are told not too. Be a light for those who struggle. We need all the light we can get. Pray for us.
I think you are are on the right track, and there are many like us.
I believe our spirit is sealed in salvation and that it is then ours, his gift to us.
Sanctification is the lifelong process that begins thereafter and is very personal indeed.
Over the last 7 years in particular I have had to try to deal with something I call soul pain. Its the pain of the brain that comes most commonly from childhood trauma.
As you work on yourself, as your post clearly testifies you are....as I am too...finding that peace, yet within personal conviction seems a healthy place to be.
The psychiatrist, psychologist and the neurologist are all COMPLETELY unable to fix the trouble in our minds, yet they are quick to prescribe pills, just to treat the SYMPTOMS.
It sounds like you have found a means to find peace in your wounded mind (soul pain)....as have I....yet still feel the conviction of it being a detriment, and I think that helps to moderate the use with a definite measure of self medication, and self control, rather than just all out high all the time.
Again, I think you are on the right track, and there are many like us.

It validated my experience as I too have suffered childhood traumas and have been diagnosed with PTSD and smoke weed to calm my often chaotic mind. Reading your testimony reaffirmed what I already knew to be true, that my relationship is with solely between God & myself, & since he knows my heart, that my intentions are pure, & that I genuinely try at my full capacity everyday to become a better woman and to accept his truth, I will gain salvation through Jesus Christ as my sole savior. I smoked weed for 40 years had medical card and what I found through prayer n meditation is that my body is a temple made in the image of GOD all mighty and it’s important I watch what I put into it and what comes out of my mouth n actions so I don’t smoke anymore coming up on a year and I’m so blessed and I love being happy without weed or anything holy spirit happiness ❤️🙏❤️N my lungs thank me also been 6 years since no cigarettes GOD is GREAT 🙏❤️🙏GOD is LOVE ❤️🙏❤️

I smoked weed for 12 years every single day pretty much . And after i hit my lowest point he pulled me out of it and its been 2 going on 3 weeks without even really thinking about smoking. Everytime i would smoked and praise him with music in my vehicle i felt major conviction and i woke up one day and i just didnt even want to anymore . No more porn addiction , no more lustful thoughts no more weed . God is good and dont let the devil fool you .
It's incredible how many people try to tell others it's ok to abort, use substances, etc., into the temple [ body] they don't own- bought with a price.

As a recently retired man with arthritis in my spine and knees from working hard for 45 years getting high is a great relief. As a victim of childhood sexual abuse and neglect. Mom was drunk months at a time growing up it gives a comfort that's not default for me. I had a tremendous spiritual experience shortly after asking Jesus into my heart 33 years ago when I turned to him as I was gonna give AA a 100% effort. Alcohol is a thousand times more dangerous IMO and should be banned before a plant God provided.

God convicted me from smoking weed. I used to smoke all the time. I had a genuine love for marijuana and put it as a top priority in my life. Yes I had my prayer life even whenever I would smoke, I would be able to pray and speak in tongues. Jesus knew my heart, but he started to convict me one day and it lasted for a while, and I did a lot of prayer and reading Gods word and fasting for the strength, because I truly had an addiction to smoking weed. Eventually, I finally put it down a few months ago and I’m still going strong. Also put the vape down. We all have our struggles, but God showed me that I treated weed as a God in my life. Even though that’s a sad thing to admit it’s the truth. And I felt horrible that I was breaking God‘s heart. I feel like if you use it for medical purposes on the rare occasions and God hasn’t convicted you. It is what it is and that’s between you and God. But whenever you use it, just because it helps, but also is something that you have a deep love for, and genuinely rely on it every day to bring you comfort whenever the Lord wants us to fall into his love, and his word, and praise him to find comfort that’s when it becomes sinful. The Lord wants us to seek after him and that’s what he put on my heart. That’s my testimony to it. I’m not gonna say I don’t struggle sometimes and want it but overtime of not smoking it gets easier and you start to see the beauty in being sober, plus I save money and have wayy more energy . My relationship with God is soo much better. I understand there’s many people out there who have issues and cannabis helps. I’m not hating on anyone at all. Everyone has their own personal journey with God. But I would pray to God and ask him to show you and convict you if he doesn’t want you to be smoking or using cannabis. Because he truly does want us to rely on him for our pain And everything we go through. But I hope this helps somebody out there and I hope everyone has a blessed day or night wherever you are.🩷🙏🏻

I experienced a nasty dependence and addiction (they're different) to Klonopin after being given it for 28 years. I couldn't take it anymore so I was weaned off of it. I experienced anxiety rebound and panic attacks, not to mention I have PTSD. I use pot to calm my anxiety. I do trust the Lord for all things, and I think He'd rather me take a few puffs off a pipe than popping pills and running out and going through severe withdrawal until I got another one. My life is orderly now, where it was chaos before.
I was addicted to that and the withdrawals were bad.that was 16 years ago

Over the years I have heard a lot of people say that “weed is natural” and therefore OK for them to smoke. Well, a rattlesnake bite is also natural, but definitely not good for you. I have known people who smoked weed and only had losses to show for it. Lost job, kicked out of school/failing grades and list goes on.

As I was turning away from weed and the world and turning to Christ I gave in to peer pressure one last time smoked weed with some "friends". During that moment the evil spiritual realm got exposed to me as someone in that room responded to a thought I had and then I was spiritually threatened and intimidated for about 30 minutes. I saw how getting high makes you vulnerable to demonic oppression. Praise God he enabled me to tell those "friends" I was leaving that lifestyle and turning to Christ! Jesus has saved me and transformed my life! I pray the same occurs for those I had smoked with. God is good!

I have osteoarthritis. I've had it for over 10 years now and it keeps getting worse. It has negativitly impacted every area of my life. Job, church, hobbies. Even walking to the bathroom.
And yes I have prayed, prayed and prayed some more. But no healing.
I've been prayed over and for by numerous pastors and others. I had the faith but, Still no healing. But when I recently started smoking weed, It took away the pain. Im able to work and enjoy my life.
Maybe the healing you are praying for came from God in his creation. No where in the Bible does it say smoking weed is bad. Don't let these judgmental "Christians" tell you otherwise. Your access to heaven is whether or not you have accepted Christ into your life and repented for your sins. Build a true strong PERSONAL relationship with Christ and you will be free.
I know arthritis pain and pray for you. Try edibles because years ago smoking marijuana gave me insomnia.

Whats funny is we can be on tons of pharmaceutical drugs that have terrible side effects but weed is evil. Even Caffeine is considered a drug and can be abused. So I'm confused. Marijuana helped me sleep and decompress from stress.

Our Heavenly Father delivered me from RX drugs, my doctors being my drug pushers, like many many other legal addicts, made dependant on man made RX drugs. I now only use natural grown cannabis and my health has never been better. I am in my 60's and i move around like a 30 year old. I take Gods medicine and my brain fog is now gone, migrains gone, anxiety gone, depression gone, sleep issues gone, etc. Do i subsitude Jesus for cannabis, of course not. I gave my heart to Jesus and he filled me with his holy spirit, which is leading me into all truth. This nonsense of God not wanting us to take natural medicine, but mans toxic drugs. Jesus is in the business of saving souls, not demonizing his Fathers medicine. God is so wonderful for cleaning up my life from a mess dr. drugs, the ones that no one cares that christians are on and messing up their minds and lives. I understand that cannabis has the potential for abuse, but so do many daily activities such as eating food, taking medicine, and going on shopping sprees. The issue is more related to the culture that was generated as a result of its illegality and the lack of education on the proper way to use it without abusing it, especially for those who can benefit from it. We must question how much of our judgment is truly rooted in fact and how much was just drilled into our heads through the "just say no" propaganda from the 1980s

Exactly! And these people aren't even really using biblical laws in their attacks against it. Having people affected by weed and turning to love, isn't a bad thing, more people need to turn to love instead of spewing venom. By treating cannabis as the "devil", well when people try it and see, ohh damn, this really helps my anxiety, it helps me sleep, it helps fight pain, it gets them to think what else was I lied to about? I lived a fast life... I truly tried to minimize my love of self and the world until one day when I was younger like 13 or 14 and saved at 7... I was in church thinking about how if I lived the way Jesus wanted me to live I wouldn't have any fun.. so I pretty much said to God that I wanted to go out there (the secular world 🌎) and dabble or have fun.. and I would ask for forgiveness and come back later.. BIG MISTAKE.. I smoked cigarettes 🚬 weed did mushrooms 🍄 slept around got my heart broken 💔 ended up in multiple car wrecks got stabbed and got married in the middle of this crap... my ways didn't change for long and I was using meth in my late 20s to lat 30s cheated on my wife got into multiple fights and The prayers of friends and family are the reason God saved me... I have been in jail multiple times and what's crazy is I never stopped praying 🙏 and talking to God... I don't know what gave me the right to always pray when I was living in such filth... my best friend shot himself on my birthday while I was in jail for carrying a legal gun without a permit.. and then I got caught twice more for the same reason.. I knew what I was doing was kife threatening so I ALWAYS carried my pistol... and then I got in huge trouble and ended up getting a 110 month sentence multiple felonies and got out used for a while and then my best friend who I connected with like no other person EVER was shot and killed by police officers a half hour after they let me out of jail for a violation.. God stopped me from going to visit that friend that day.. he asked me right when I was released to visit and I got this overwhelming feeling of DREAD and fear 😨 so I told Jeff I would see him after 🎄 ✝️ and it happened right when I sat down on my couch 🛋 I felt him die in the pit of my stomach 💔 😢 I Never used meth again 💔.. it took my friends life and everything was crazy so I prayed.. Jesus kept me from going to prison for 110 months and I got 10 years of probation 🙌 I have been sober for almost 6 years now 😊I don't know why he saved me and not ANY of my friends.. but I love him so much 😢 and I still don't know sometimes that I am truly saved these thoughts creep in my heart that I am not really a Christian and I'm not going to heaven it is my worst fear that I am going to die and be turned away from Jesus but I know that is satan trying to rob me of peace and I reject him in Jesus name 🙏 plz pray for me that I will be there for my son and daughter and wife.. that I will KNOW that I am God's and I will know him on the most personal level ever... I am in his debt... 😢don't know why he kept me from death.. but I sure am grateful

I used to compromise about smoking weed. I used to say it says in the Bible “every tree bearing seed I put for you”. I didn’t smoke that much either. Until I told Jesus, if you don’t want me to smoke anymore, then take it away from me. He did!! I got down to 1 time a day and I read Romans 7 . On the third day I was done. Over the next few days I felt He next leveled me! I can hear Him talk to me more better now. The devil will perverse anything that’s not of God, The devil will use it as an open door to make you have intrusive thoughts. Just ask Jesus to come into your heart, He’ll do the rest. I smoked weed since I was 12 everyday constantly. As I got older it became me meditation from all the evil in the world. I am 23 years old with a wife and 2 kids. As I got older God showed me that weed is a temporary solution to the evil but weed doesn’t take it away. My tolerance is very very high, I have discipline and God knows that I would never try any other drugs but what God showed me was that instead of me going to him first, I went to weed and the devil kept playing his games and God kept giving me my problems over and over again, until I took that step to put those childish temporary things away and grow my relationship with God the right way without weed, without distractions, me focused on him. It’s only been a week since I stopped smoking weed but the things God has showed me, there’s no urge to smoke anymore. There is still temptation because there is still a devil but I know that with God on my side the devil can fight me as hard as he can but with a sober mind I’m equipped with all the weapons to fight off anything the devil has. And in each season I’m in, the more I grow and get stronger, the devil attacks get more intense but the weapons my God equipped me with penetrates all evil. I know a week is soon but make your faith stronger than the temptation: put God in front the devil foolish games and instantly the temptation goes away. Keep growing , loving, and serving for our Lord. I also stopped drinking heavy. I was never really a drinker. My wife is the drinker but I’m from NY so we can drink especially Hennessy but my faith grew bigger than the temptation and now I won’t drink without my wife and I won’t drink to feel drunk, barely even tipsy. Love you guys. Whoever is reading this and is struggling with addiction, I pray your faith grows bigger than your temptation and the devil releases the hold on you in every way. I pray God shows you that you are equipped with everything you need: Him to fight off everything evil and no good. In Jesus mighty name Amen❤️ God bless

I will never forget a guy I befriended at church who had a serious debilitating life of pain. He had sideffect problems with the opiods the doctors gave him -they tend to steal your mind- so he'd gotten his life back w thc, he could now visit with family and grandkids, then our 400+lb morbidly obese pastor guilted him into "repenting" of this "sin", I didn't see him again. I broke a couple ribs gocart racing and still had to work. I would come home in pain, a couple hits and pain went from an 8 to a 2 in ten minutes. As a Christian culture most of us still have our head stuck in the mis information that originated in the 30's. God is not good with misuse of any medicine rx or thc or pastors beating people over their head with bible/guilt. I have yet to see any real move from the church at large to find any real answers to the problem no one really wants to talk about -porn.

That’s why we have Jesus to wash away our sins so that we can be with the father in Heaven. If used the right way, cannabis is okay. I too struggled and made excuses that I’m not hurting anybody by smoking and using it for medicinal and therapy purposes. Today makes 48hrs without marijuana and I’m eager to look forward to the future. Through my denial God was showing me signs through everything he can use to catch my attention. For the last month I slipped back into depression is when I continued to see more and more videos like this. God is calling us out of the very things we pray to him for yet we fight him every step of the way by earthly pretenses and pride.

Sometimes when I smoke I like to get DEEP into the word. And I also don't get stoned to the point that it truly alters my mind and thinking, im still of aound and sober mind. It takes the edge off of my pain, keeps me focused and keeps me from the bottle. Cannabis doesn't take any time from the lord in my life and in fact I try harder to fit a bit of Bible study in my schedule when I smoke. Those vices that take away from the lord are the sin. Heck, allowing yiur career to take away from your time with the lord is a sin. So how about we pull the branch from our own eye before we worry about the sliver in someone else's. We are all sinners and we all sin in different ways.

After 51 years of absolute horrific narcissistic abuse, I was on 10 “crazy pills” but then Jesus came for me on June 7, 2018 and He told me words I had never heard before, He said this…”You did not choose me, rather I chose you!” I was instantly changed and a few days later, He told me to get off the pills and use cannabis, His plant He planted all over the world. When I smoke it, I can hear Him clearly which makes me obedient and then His blessings pour down upon me. He hates when people turn something He made for good into evil. Weed, pot, Maryjane, ganga, what ever people call it, it is not a sin! Calling it a sin, something the creator made, now that’s a sin!

As a Christian I have struggled with smoking off and on for years. I’m not happy about it when I do. I just repent as for forgiveness and move forward and try not to do it again

I use to be an alcoholic and binge eater. This incredibly unhealthy lifestyle caused me to develop severe anxiety and debilitating panic attacks. I have a family history of dependence on anti anxiety medication, so going the pharmaceutical route was not an option for me. Cannabis has helped me kick alcohol and get my life back. Cannabis (in moderation), IS medicine, make no mistake, however just like with anything else, it can be abused. In my opinion, the government's ridiculous Class 1 narcotics classification and the stoner culture, are what has corrupted the viewpoint for so many people. Cannabis is 10 times safer than alcohol, yet most people, (including Christians), would agree that alcohol in moderation is completely fine, but Cannabis in moderation is all of a sudden a sin and cuts you off from Yahweh? It's up to everyone to use their spiritual discernment to see what is and is not right for them and what's right for their walk with The Lord.

For some it's chocolate cake..one slice just isn't enough. For me its smoking, a couple puffs is effective but it's good so I'll just finish it..surely it won't kill me, but the sin of gluttony will. I went from cursing our savior and Creator to loving them. I think that's a transformation. The one constant has been marijuana. I smoke today and love Jesus. The only reason I'm alive is because smoking helps me be able to eat. It also helped me deal with the trauma that turned me away from our loving Creator Jesus. It didn't numb me but helped me see through the pain. I've faced trauma that almost killed me because of smoking my herbs. Look up cyclic vomiting syndrome that's what I've dealt with from having trauma at a very young age. That caused me to have an over active nervous system. Weeds the only herb that has helped me be able to calm down my nerves and help me face the trauma that almost killed me. Without that and Jesus love I wouldn't be alive today.

I’ve been delivered from smoking weed. I didn’t have a reason why I smoked other than it relieved me after a long day of work. I had the desire to stop but it was hard. I stopped 4 times each relapse was 3-6 months apart. But one time I noticed I kept getting sick and I only get sick once a year, my memory was bad, my thoughts were gruesome about family members and it really took a toll over my mental health. Laziness was also a thing. Every once in a while I do get tempted but I remember what God has brought me out of and I’m more productive and replaced smoking with doing physical activities.

Saved by grace means Jesus is God and he Sent his comforter from the father(John1:1) I still have problems being delivered from smoking because it was a seed that was planted for me when I was sooo young and being known that we testified to that we are the Temple of the Lord and it belongs to him so every chance you get to deny your flesh and submit those imaginations down strong in His name and Come to him(2 Corinthians 10:5) that is True worship in Body and Spirit to the Father❤️🙌🏾HALLELUYAH

I agree with this word but what about prescriptions medication for anxiety and depression. it makes you cloudy and excessive eating, with the lack of interest in doing things. This word should be toward any mind alternative drugs including prescription in some cases though.

God said herbs are the medicine of men. Weed is an herb that god created. It has good spiritual purpose. It does bring me closer to Jesus bc it helps me think outside of the box. It calms my mind and helps me see past the world and more into the heart of Jesus. It is all about love.

What kind of relationship with Jesus would require a mediator to make you feel closer to him? A false one. Ever thought that maybe the reason you feel so good and close to God when you do it, is actually because the enemy wants you to feel that? There is absolutely nothing better than blissful ignorance, what if this drug that you apparently have to have in order to build that relationship with God, is the enemy finding the perfect chain? If you do not feel close to God without drugs, thats because there is no real relationship. Reflect on that.

If someone’s relaxed. They get more relaxed.
Many people get relaxed and happy from the weed.
Many people believe it is the cure for their troubles. That can easily become the delusion of the devil. Sure it may help with chronic pains and such.
But it’s important to be true to one self. Weed is a reflection of self. A greater showing, because it amplifies emotions.
It makes people more expressive. It makes people believe in themselves that everything they do and have done is good.
It eases people. Life is not meant to be easy. There is not supposed to be some power plant that makes people truly connected to God. This isn’t a video game. The magic mushrooms have no power. All things must be done in moderation.
All habits, all acts, all hobbies. All addictions. All mindsets.
If it were true that weed brought us closer to god just by the amount of it used by the user;
the Catholic Church would smoke widespread. In the cathedrals and during mass.
But no one smokes weed at church. It’s believed by many that it’s unholy.
Everything not of god must be mediated. The devil is crafty. He knows how to play peoples minds to a tee. Satan knows how to use humans as puppets. He wants to collect and ruin souls.
Evil spirits will fill your head with voices. Envisions. Dreams. Thoughts. They will tell you that you are on the right track.
Because all humans want to feel like they are accomplished within themselves. Everyone does. Nobody can deny that. Satan knows that.
His evil spirit goes wherever it is allowed. Many times we do not realize we are holding the door open for Satan. If one is strong in faith. One will not give in. The door holding out the evil. Stays shut.
That’s often the case with weed. People become overly reliant on it. Far often.
A joint after a truly great accomplishment wont hurt. A bud after doing something remarkable. A smoke to help with injury. Sure.
A small buzz after going through the sacrifice and hard ships of what it means to truly be successful in life.
That’s fine.
Simply when we become reliant on things, we slip up. We cave into our relievers and desires. Because the devil knows.
But the Lord knows all. Put the blunt out. And pick the book up. The holy Bible.

This intrigued me. My best friend of 30 years who has recently become my girlfriend, smokes. She has many health problems, no doubt some were caused by years of harder drug use. She is diabetic, has heart failure, neuropathy, and other conditions that will, under normal circumstances shorten her life. She is 51 years young. She recently got saved and I have seen a huge change in her yet she still smokes…. Last week at church we discussed “believe, become, and behave”. I have battled alcohol at times. I have never been a user of other drugs. Her weed use bothers me,and I wish she would quit. However I know that God loves her and will heal her in time…. I do not condemn her for her use, that might push her away, but I pray for her daily.
I would be curious how you found the Lord “pastor”? What was your past? You’re throwing stones, so is your past completely without sin?
If the “church” doesn’t want people to come to their church if they look a certain way or have had a tough life to come and listen to the word, what kind of teacher of the gospel are you? The lost, the homeless, the druggies, the wounded need Christ just as much as anyone else. This message is exactly why people don’t want to come to church today. Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, but deny Him by their lifestyle.
You should have high five the guys, prayed over them, and invited them to your church.
