A power Sun 160 18-20 away for basking on a piece of slate or flat Rock would resolve that. Also a solar meter will get you dialed in with proper UVB .
I'm so happy you guys are expanding for larger species. I'm excited to see what else is to come. Would love if you guys had an extension for this size that isnt a corner peice. Keep up the great work! Cant wait to order more enclosures :)
Tegus are my favorite reptile. They are amazing animals for sure. Love the enclosures simple, easy to clean, and most of all open to the reptile and Humuns to see. Lolol🤣🤣🤣🤣
That enclosure looks awesome. Is this a final enclosure, or will she need a larger enclosure later? I’m imagining being able to use the same structure to hold multiple green tree pythons.
I love this and just ordered one cause I love it so much! Question, you have the mats listed as a link but you only used the bio basin correct? No need for a mat with this set up?
Is it possible to do lighting ontop of the enclosures but still stack to save space?? Planning to get a tegu but we're also going to adopt a boa constrictor our grandfather needs to rehome
Yes absolutely! We highly recommend checking out our deluxe stacking spacer, it can hide all your lighting equipment and allow you to stack another enclosure on top! www.zenhabitats.com/products/meridian-deluxe-stacking-spacer-for-zen-habitats-enclosures
I think your tegu will not get any usable UVB if your T5 or T8 bulb is all the way on your 4 foot ceiling and those bulbs are only effective at 15 to 18 inches tops above your animal. Even the 160 watt mercury vapor bulb for UVb is only good from 22 inches and lower so you may want to get s solar meter and check how far below that uvb bulb you get a reading cuz if you put the meter on the floor and test it you will see theres no UVB reaching down there at all. Hopefully you're not like most other keepers that refuse to buy a solar meter even though they know they have no way to check the output of there uvb bulbs. Do yourself a huge favor and research what I'm saying and get a meter if you don't have one itll save your tegu life

What do you love about this reptile enclosure upgrade? Leave a comment below!
Very beautiful enclosure. The UVB is ineffective due to the distance from the animal and the strength of the bulb!

Rosie is going to need most likely one more upgrade from what she has now! She's growing up so fast 😍
At 49 seconds in, what basking spot decor is that?
Rosie is laying on top of two Zen Caves!

Woohoo! That's so exciting! We have the mat listed as that was what we used for her ramp, however, it is not needed for this setup!
