To be fair to the guy in the back of the jeep waving the flare gun around; he’s probably seen Jurassic Park, he’s been involved in multiple crashes with bushes and fences, and someone just started deleting the gates around him. I’d be a tad nervous too…. Brilliant map though.
Hey Evo, I recently found this bug (I don't think it's a feature) in the game where you can have multiple arriving points. When you're building on a map, place your first arriving point, save and reload. For some reason the game doesn't see that you already have an arriving point, so it gives you another one. I don't know if you know this but I thought I might as well share it with the community. Btw, amazing recreation of the original Jurassic Park !!
Random thought: what if the "geese" shown in the movie were actual prehistoric aquatic birds (gansus is the only one I can think of by now but I'm sure there are more)? In the novel they had small prehistoric animals like the compys or meganeura living freely on the island so what if if the park from the novel and the park from the first film were the same (which they obviously aren't) there would be little prehistoric animals living on Isla Nublar including those "geese". It's just a theory and I guess the filmmakers didn't went that deep into it but it's interesting to think of.
That's a good theory. We know they are going to the extent of cloning plants already so why not certain species of bird? Hammond even (albeit jokingly) talks about cloning Condors at dinner as it is 🤔
@@Braint-lr6uf it was a long time ago when I read the novel but I'm pretty sure that Alan Grant and the children encounter two fairly huge dragonflies in the jungle and although they aren't said to be meganeura I assumed they were Although I have to admit that it would be difficult for them to survive because of the low levels of oxygen in the atmosphere
Love the build it’s amazing. Sucks about those little things you had to change. But for what you could do in the game it’s amazing. Spot on in my opinion
The brachiasaur hill and parasaur lake scene was perfectly made in JWE1s Return to JP campaign map. It’s hard for me to see it be in JWE2. I just have to imagine that they drove to the JWE1 map instead.
You were absolutely right about it being frustrating to do a faithful recreation with the limitations we have and that it is better to do something original. I do wish somehow you could see my JP recreation for the first game, think I'd of done you proud :)
Im so proud of your ambition to this because i saw your video / tutorial on it and as easy as you made it look it must have taken a while so well done evo :>
Well hey there, this was an unexpected treat. It was purely by chance that I turned my PC on. I saw Twitter and assumed the tour would be tomorrow, then I was drawn over here and lo and behold! You did a great job on this and it was a really well done recreation. I'd been thinking about the live streams and an idea came to me that I thought I'd pitch. I often think the best streams are the most interactive ones. I loved the Isle stream as it had a relaxed feel and you were able to look at the chat more. You had fun and so did we. The chat brought me to my idea.... Chaturday! A stream dedicated to the chat, where we can talk together about anything. Full focus on chat would help appease the spammers as they only do it when they think they're being ignored. You could talk to us over montage shots, or, if you were feeling brave enough, you could be on camera. As daunting as that might sound, it could well be the closest to an actual meet and greet that most of us would be likely to get. I think it'd be a great experience for all of us. You could do it as a one off, or maybe once a month. Whatever, it's entirely up to you. I'll leave you to have a think. Bye for now..
Quick Tip : You can get good references for the park layouts of all the movie - based parks from LEGO JURASSIc WORLD game because it's an open world game and you can observe all the details, how the paths connect, where the structures and buildings are located in relation to each other and things like that. It may not be 100% accurate to the movies but it'll do the trick.
Corrections: -There is actually 3 brachiosaurus seen in the welcome to jurassic park scene, 1 with the trees, the other 2 in the water. -Parasaurolophus is actually in a greenish color in that same scene. so Salar De Huasco, Champlain Valley, or any type of green color for the para should be there.
Honestly, I think the idea of a barn/shelter for dinosaurs could be used to keep dinosaurs safe from natural disasters. Besides, I think it would be cool to make a dinosaur ranch :) I play red dead :)
What you have created is fantastic! Really love it...... But what im hearing from you is we need LARGER maps lol...! I feel where never able to achieve the full Jurassic Park! I know PC can handle all the MODS because well PC :p Just an FYI ive been trying to build with no MODS but ive a feeling the MODS make it super nice!
That's actually not the raptor's paddock; it's an animal quarrentine pen. The raptors were moved there after they started attacking the fences whenever the feeders came, so their habitat had to undergo rennovation to make it more secure. Hence, why the remaining three raptors had to be moved.
The only thing that was better than the park you have built, was the way you presented it. It is very heart warming how you are so much into this franchise and it really shows! :)
I'm sure there is one of the foliage paints that does have a fallen log. It's a bit hit and miss but you can cause the random fallen log with a bit of tedious effort. I can't remember which Biome it belongs too though off top of head but it is there.

Hi Evo i loved you recreation of the park, but i remembered a thing about the movie, the tyranossaurus habitat actually appears first than the triceratops, thats a common mistake that people do, actually i did It in my first recreation too
yep but 1. like I said, we're passing the rex paddock from the opposite direction they do in the movie the first they go by it, but in-game the tours can't double back 2. it makes no sense. To make it make sense, a lot of stuff has to get completely mangled

Like you say its frustrating to try and do a proper replica because you just can't especially being on console, also the movie has mistakes that just confuses and frustrates you because it's not even right in the movie I just pretend there's mistakes on their computer system in terms of dino locations, layout and tour direction etc they weren't fully up and running, and especially if your a perfectionist and abit OCD it's going to drive you mad lol. I'm not sure why your gate wasn't opening, maybe because the tour wasn't connected or because there as a dinosaur right behind it? They are absolutely supposed to open for you though, both in the jeep and in first-person made. Great work on the park of course, as always.
Looks really nice and East dock is realistic what it would been. I'm not a big fan of Telltale's JP the game but they had the other dock for visitors made pretty well. I hope that kind of concept will be added to JWE2 as DLC some day.
The raptor padock is actualy located behind the vistitor center and the brachiosaurus encloser is located to the left of the visiter center and is a bit closer to the visitor center but over all pretty close
