I’m pretty sure those instructions are for right handed people BUT you did EXTREMELY well for a first time Punch Needle design!!! It turned out GORGEOUS!!!! I would definitely hang it on your wall with all the rest of your artwork!!! 💕💕💕💕
Thankyou, love your character, narration and expressing your thoughts as you were doing this, a very therapeutic practice, I’ve got my kit, looking forward to starting, love your end result❤👏👏
Fun! I did some punch needle when I was a teen and loved it. I hadn't seen that back-and-forth stitch before, but it reminds me of longstitch, which is a cousin to cross stitch. I loved that one, too--it's unique, very fast, and gives an interesting look when done. I've hardly seen it around since then, except for a few very pricey kits.
I tried this for the first time about 3 weeks ago! It was so fun! I got my kit from Michael’s and it was actually embroidery thread. It took forever but it was so nice! I did my own simple design with yarn, so much faster and I loved it. Such a fun new craft!
Thank you for your video.I got a punch needle ornament kit for Christmas and I didn't know even how to thread the needle.I am going to give it a try after seeing your video.Thank you❤
EVERY TIME I SEE A VIDEO FROM YOU…it cheers me up. Thank you Mira 😊 I just got my little punch needle kit as well and now I have an excuse to stop procrastinating!! 😝
I have to say I’ve done a fair bit of needle punching and I always draw the design on the back so I don’t have to keep turning it over to see what I’m doing! You’re a trooper for sticking with it when this kit really hasn’t made it easy for you!!
That's a good idea! I'll have to do that if I draw my own design one day! I really want to do this again. All the tips people are leaving have been so helpful! Thanks for sharing!! 💜
I'm left handed as well. Did you find this art hard to do or is it something us lefties can master? It's looks fun and I'm interested in getting a kit. @@MiraByler
Hi Mira, l love it when you try new arty things, and share it with us. This looked fun, and yours turned out so well, it's so cute! Maybe I'll give it a try one day 😊. Thanks for being you ❤ x
I am obsessed with your videos, I’m new to your channel and I think you are incredible! You have inspired me get back into painting and not to be scared of messing up. I watch your videos while I’m creating art myself. It’s not perfect but I’m having fun!!
These kits make introductory into a new craft so fun and less intimidating. This seems so tedious but yet still a cute craft to try. I'd love to try it sometime. Definitely have to have some patience when learning something new. I used to do latch hook and this seems similar.
I genuinely loved this! I want to learn how to do these. Yours looks amazing! If you continue to do this journey, I would love to see it. Whether it be needle punching, crocheting, or needle point. So cool!
So glad you enjoyed it! It is way more relaxing than I expected! I hope you really enjoy it if you give it a try! I did some needle felted “paintings” over the years and it would be fun to try it with punch needling!! 😁💜
5:22 lol yeah im so use to getting my hands covered in paint/ink/markers that when i go to crochet something just feels wrong lol 😝 turned out great, that can be a lot of fun and usually less blood unlike when needle felting with a tiny sharp needle 😛
It's normal that a canvas 'loosens up' as you work with it. You can tighten it with the corner wedges, or, if the loosening is just in spots/partial (or no wedge slots), take some water, go over the back and let it soak up some, then dry fully (hairdryer or similar helps).
❤ Thank you for sharing ! It looks like a technique than can help with madness manegment 😊 and you can turn frustrations in something beautiful 😅❤! Will defentely try it
That’s so cute, punch needling looks really fun 😄🩷 I love embroidery, but haven’t tried punch needle yet. I might just have to get a kit and try it myself 😊
@@MiraByler I started with cross stitch but have moved on to embroidery with all kinds of stitches now. Love embroidering floral designs and animals 😊 Mostly doing stuff in frames, but right now I’m also working on embroidering some tote bags for Christmas presents with butterflies and flowers on them 🦋 I didn’t think it was too hard to learn, started with some kits that looked pretty much like the one you did in this video, and have used TH-cam videos for learning many different stitches. Now I have designed my own patterns and that’s really fun!
Depending on the severity of brushes, I soak them in paint thinner or Dawn dish soap. Then wash wish Dawn. Then wash again with the masters brand paint brush cleaner. And I have a brush shaping solution to reshape bad brushes.
The fabricage is a bit stretchy, so over time it will loosen up. There is also a grip strip if I have the word correct, where you stretch the fabric over a strip of Tiny needles. And you can reposition it over time when it comes losse again. And then stretch your artwork on a frame when it’s all finished. I have some punch needle equipment at home myself, but haven’t found the time and energie to actually start a project 😅 it’s a shame.
HI MIRA, A LOVELY ART PROJECT I NEVER TRIED, BUT I DID TRY LAST YEAR DIAMOND PAINTING, IF YOU NEVER TRIED IT I RECOMMEND YOU DO, IT IS FUN AND THE RESULTS ARE BEAUTIFUL. EVEN THOUGH IT TAKES SO LONG TO COMPLETE. BYE MARIA
I did this same kit! I'm sending it to my mom. Also, curious, i didn't punch my black from the back, i punched it from the front. I don't remember what the instructions were, haha. 😂
@MiraByler great! I'm from the UK just finished work and your video popped up! 10 past 11 here at night ❤️ hope you and your family are well thanks for the great video like always🥰
this was done kinda dumb if it was meant to have the loopy side being the one that's visible. they should've just printed the design on the BACK of the canvas so u could work from the back and have the loops be on the front. i also have tried this punch needle craft bc it looked fun but i genuinely don't understand how to keep the thread IN the fabric. idk if my kit was just cheap and not good enough to do it properly or what. i was pretty disappointed
I would love to see a freehand version!
Trying out new craft/art hobbies could be a great video series of yours :-) It looks so lovely and calming what you did here.
I’m pretty sure those instructions are for right handed people BUT you did EXTREMELY well for a first time Punch Needle design!!! It turned out GORGEOUS!!!! I would definitely hang it on your wall with all the rest of your artwork!!! 💕💕💕💕
This is soooo cute!!!! I could see a free hand one with a landscape in the background and flowers in the foreground! ❤️🙏🏽💕

The creator in the video at the start is my absolute favourite! She makes it look so easy 😂

I used to love doing that hook and loop stuff as a kid. This reminds me of that. Super fun. ❤🎉
Latch hooking?
You made that look easy Mira, I think I will try that as well. Could you do more coloring plz to show blending the colored pencils.
Omgooodness! I bought something similar to try out this winter to see how I can include it in my junk journals!
And this would be cool to do your clothed animals!
More videos! Yay!!!!
Love how it turned out!! Definitely going to get that kit too 😊

Can you try and put a video of you trying cross stitch kit.
I do not think I would enjoy cross stitching. I’ve watched people do it and it doesn’t look fun, haha 💀💀💀
@@MiraByler ok. But btw there are also pre prints on the fabric and doing a sewing technique make all the difference.
This was fun 🌺
I bought a punsch neddle as well, I really love the possebilities. I am a chrocheter an I see me doing different patshes kind of thing.
Love another video like this! ❤

Im left handed also.. did you find this difficult to work on?
Wow amazing! Arent you afraid of ripping the canvas? Because to me, unexpersienced at all, the needle tooks so wide!
I did this same kit! I'm sending it to my mom.
Also, curious, i didn't punch my black from the back, i punched it from the front. I don't remember what the instructions were, haha. 😂
I think you could have done it either way!
