I have listened to a few versions of this on line and yours has to be one of the most beautiful...simple but haunting and with a warmth and roundness to the tone of the Low G whistle. Thanks a lot for putting the video up. Hope you are well. Take Care
Great sound Jim, I learn so much from your videos, I will try to learn this on my Tony Dixon Low D whistle, but I find it really hard to get my fingers to cover the holes properly, your low G whistle looks easier and has a great mellow sound, so I may have to make myself one, I have made High D, B, Bb and C whistles so far with great success. Keep the videos coming, you are my tutor!!!
I own a Dixon low D and I find it difficult to play myself Ian. Still struggling with the "piper's grip." Just need to persevere. The Dixon low G is a nice whistle and much easier than the low D to play. The Dixon low F is also easier to play but it has a wide bore and takes more breath to play than the G.

Wonderful! Thanks. I have a TD low G whistle -- anyone know where I can get the tabs for
The Level Plain?
I played this "by ear" John but you should be able to get the tabs on thesession(dot)org
Thank you :)
Thanks John :)
