@@HarryCotto1 hey Harry, thanks for watching mate! On Vanguard UK I always had my monthly payments coming out monthly, once a month. On Vanguard Australia, when I set up the ‘auto invest’ feature, there was an option for the payments to come out fortnightly. So I selected that option! In all honesty it’s the same difference, investing monthly or fortnightly won’t make much difference over the long term. Hope that makes sense Harry. If not let me know - and thanks again for watching!
The algorithm lords recommended this video and I'm glad they did you've earned a sub off me and out of curiosity is this a sipp? Or all 3 as mentioned in the title?:)
That’s great to hear Alex, glad the algorithm gods are in my favour 😂 thanks for the sub! As I go through in the video, I have both a SIPP and a stocks & shares ISA 🙌 Any questions at all let me know!
@@jordansmith2554 hey Jordan, welcome to the channel mate. I hope you enjoy the content! I’ve made a few videos over the years on why I use global funds as opposed to US funds - so check those out if you have time. In short though, I want to be globally diversified as it’s impossible to predict (in my opinion) which country will perform best over the long term.
What platform do you suggest using for investing and what would be your advice if currently I have nothing invested but have approx £50k to put to work?
@@barrycampbell8861 hey Barry, I’m not a financial advisor but 1) I’m a big fan of Vanguard. Trading 212 and invest engine are also good options. And 2) you could either lump sum invest that or dollar cost average. Both have pros and cons. It depends what account you want to use, but if you want to use a S&S ISA then you could contribute £20k this tax year and the next one and then £10k the following tax year. There are a lot of considerations, but I hope all that is helpful
Fantastic. If you don't mind me asking. How much do you invest into global all cap a month since you started? I'm in the same fund and hope to be like you in the future. I'm aiming at £500 a month. Thanks.
@@js5189 thank you! At my peak, before I moved to Australia, I was investing £650pm through my Stocks & Shares ISA. But I initially started out with £100pm. That’s brilliant - £500 is a great sum to invest per month. So good on you! Keep it going and stick to the long term plan 🙏
@@CaboloNero that’s a very good point and a fair question. The answer is - I could. And it would save me fees as you say. The reason why I haven’t is that Vanguard are as safe, reputable and trustworthy as it gets (in my opinion) being the second largest asset manager in the world. So that’s why reason why I continue to use them!
Fantastic content as always 👍👍👍👌

Hi Ryan, is there a reason why your instalments come out fortnightly ? Great video as always mate !

New to your channel but is there a reason you’re all in on the FTSE Global rather than something like the S&P 500?

Why not move your isa to a few free platform like iWeb here in uk? You are paying £70 a year in fees to vanguard
