- Transformers, being a popular toy line, has inspired companies to make a lot of knockoffs. The Combination of Fighter Jets is an Aerialbots knockoff set that combines into Superion, though at a slightly smaller scale. Captain Kyle reviews this cheap set to see if it’s any good.
The Aerialbots were created by the Autobots to offset the new Decepticon subgroup known as the Stunticons. Made up of Slingshot, Air Raid, Fireflight, Skydive, and the leader Silverbolt, these Transformers can form Superion, a combiner robot with great strength. There have been various third-party and knockoffs made of this group. In this video, Captain Kyle examines a set he thought might be as good as the “Quick Change” ones that were released in the early 2000s. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
To get this set of KO Aerialbots, try www.aliexpress... (price has gone up at the time of publication, not recommended)
To get the Counterfeit reissue that is much higher quality, try: s.click.aliexp... (6th item in the listing, recommended)
These toys are not manufactured by Hasbro or Takara-Tomy, therefore they will assume no liability regarding quality.

oh my god I had this exact set back in 07 or so. my stepmom got it for me in Korea
I have a cheap Predaking from South Korea. I love it just as much as my Reissue Predaking. He’s the pride of my collection. Bought it from an alley store in Busan.
Many years ago i picked up a set to customize into a Decepticon set I named Dark Skies to fight against Superion. This set is really just a display piece just like he says in the video because of all the looseness.
Impressive name, Dark Skies
I remember these, the Menasor giftset was one of the first Transformers I owned as a kid. Brings back a lot of frustrating but fun memories of trying to combine them, then breaking Dragstrip's head off and disconnecting Motormaster's arms after the pins dropped out.
The old knock-offs from 2001 were not missing all of those parts (had the chrome too), but the plastic disintegrated over time. I still have mine, and had to carefully disassemble them and coat the parts with nail polish hardener to keep them from disintegrating into dust. That really is quite different than the older knock off.
Awesome! I really enjoyed my original G1 Superion back in the old days 😂 - I might just have to grab these guys - so fun - thanks for the great review! 🏆🎉 I understand that they are crappy and cheap but that’s ok 🤪🤣
Toy Spotlite - I was able to buy all the TF mini Combiner sets at Tuesday morning.
also Leokaizer, Six Builder, Six Train, Landcross, RAIDEN , and Dirugger XV.
they sold them for $5 each ......lol.
they also sold oversized Silverbolt , Blitzwing & Astrotrain .
I remember seeing these all over the place back in the day. I wanted them but at the same time I didn't. I ended up passing on them. But seeing them now, I kinda want them again. Kinda.
I had the KO Defensor set back in the early 2000's.
Mine's the the older and more durable and solid plastic version, same size as the original but packaged almost the same as yours, I think I got it almost 20 years ago..still quite solid til this day, though Silverbolt is showing some plastic degradation..though I already got the reissue one, I still keep my KO version.. 😄 nice review..
Considering some of the hasbro official ones you've reviewed have had the hollow limbs or even fallen apart this is kind of on par with current day. The only difference might be pad printed decals and flashing on the cheap plastic. I guess if I never had anything it might make an interesting decoration on a shelf. I'm sure someone collects these things and has an impressive array of plastic shards on their floor from transforming them once.
fascinating how that cheap knockouts turned into expensive knockouts over the time. PS: but still cheaper as the original.
Mine some of them had yellowing issues when i got them back in 2003. I still have them and they havent yellowed any further. It is all plastic these. They dont have the diecast pieces. Only Silverbolt has the gun.
Mine does have the chrome on Silverbolt. They all have their landing wheels too.
My slingshot only has a little orange on top of his head crest.
The arms are quite loose on my fire flight. They are all bigger than those. I think it is their actual sizes. At least it is the version I got. It comes in the same box too. Of course I got them 21 years ago.
i do have the constructicons knockoff set
I wish KOs just didn't bother with emblems than tampo on faux decepticon emblems that have to be painstakingly covered up with just right sized reprolabels.
How much is that worth currently in today's market maybe to a collector?
I piedi e le mani e la testa del combiner moderno sono compatibili con quello originale ?
It's a knockoff of a knockoff
I see what you did there
