I love the brushes being used could you have any recommendations on where to get those and which are the most necessary wants to have in your kit. Please oh please. Ur an awesome teacher
Thank you Laura! Honestly, I could watch you do linework all day. You know those vids people make for relaxation or meditation of repetitive or symmetrical things, if your linework was done to new age meditation music, I would literally watch it just to destress. I was wondering, that looks like a sort of compression band on your thumb, does it help to keep your thumb from overstressing? If so, would you please share the info on it? I could use help with that.
Yes, I really messed up my thumb a couple years ago, long story- now I use it as a joke- "over-use injury, I am that good" with the dads. I tried lots of different things to make my thumb "better" saw doctors the whole bit, in the end I use a special Kinestetic tape (KT tape) it is like a stretchy band aide, but only the sticky part. I wrap my thumb every time I paint, and while it will still get tired, it no longer feels like it is going to fall off. SO helpful!
@@okcfacepainter6667 Thank you. Small price to pay. I do worry a bit about high blood sugar too- from all the birthday cake, cotton candy and rootbeer that comes my way!
How do you practice when you don't have a kid nearby? Do you paint on yourself or paper or..? I work at a zoo, and it's hard to experiment with new stuff on the costumers there, because they have zero patience and usually don't sit very still.
Hi broomstickgirl DK, great question. I have a couple thoughts for you. Practicing on a real kid keeps it real. If you want to practice on paper or mannequin it is like riding a bike with training wheels, you are only practicing some of the skills it takes to ride well. Also, I really like getting paid- so even if I am painting for free, and just collecting tips- that's a whole lot more than my couch pays me. Finding a local frozen yogurt shop or somewhere else kids are can be really great.
Wow...so beautiful, Laura! You make it look it so easy! The young lady was delighted!!
Thank you Vera.
AWWWWW

Thank you Laura for yet another speedy yet beautiful design tutorial!!! 😍
I guess you can see a theme???
Super cute! I would so get something like this in a heartbeat, and im nearing the end of my 20s lol
Honestly- whenever I paint this type of design, I think- why can’t this just be normal make-up for grown ups? I love the white swirls!
This is gorgeous! I love doing these over a road bow cake but with black never considered doing them in white without a base!
Right? I did it once, and then hundreds of more times. It is so fast and so fun.
I love how often you are uploading videos!! Makes me happy every time I see a notification! Yay!
So glad!
Wow this is so cool face painting 😍🥰😍
Can you recommend good not expensive face paint? I saw one in Walmart but not sure if it will work good.
Which brand do you use for paint, especially white color?
Wolfe is my fav.
Please could I ask what make of paint you use.
Absolutely stunning work ❤
Tag brand for colors, Wolfe for black and white.

Thanks Jackie! I love a good brush. Try and look for round brushes 3-6 size. Loew cornell is a great brand.
Thanks for the single line! I do not have the fancy kit.
So pretty! I love it! What do you call this on your board? Is there a word list or a picture?
I use photo cards, so the kids can just point to it. Words are tricky since I have like 8 different unicorn options! ha
What your colours brand???plz
Tag body art.

Oh, I've been reading lately about that kind of tape! I will look for it. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Also, I'm very sorry that you've been hurting. I feel like it's kind of an occupational hazard.

I am terrible at line work. I’m practicing and practicing but just cannot get smooth lines, let alone doing thick to thin. Help!
Wondering what is on your thumb?
It is a adhesive band. Supports my joints from overuse- I love it.
