It's unbeatable because somehow they managed to complete the whole set of their version. And gave us more satisfying closure. But on Anne with an E they weren't able to make it. given that Anne with an e is more modern they spoke a lot of interesting topics, they had more beautiful taping place. Their acting skills is more updated. And they elaborate most of the scenes and they even lots of scenes which is not included in the book. But I can consider that because it's a new version. But this version of Anne of green gables was released on 1985. I don't know but Anne of green gables 1985 is giving me the kind of vibe that their only version can give.
These movies are so special to me.. such a reminder of INNOCENCE, family and LOVE.. I am so grateful they were made and I am so thankful to all the cast and crew and everyone who worked so hard to put them together. These movies will live on.. keep sharing them with generations to come! We need this light in the world right now... MORE THEN EVER
The way Anne looks at Gilbert when he strokes her face and calls her carrots. I think that was the moment she realized she was in love with him. Thats why I could never understand why she turned down his first proposal. Forget these romantic ideals she had! True love is in your backyard!

This movie brings me back to a bittersweet time.when I was young and things were so happy yet some very sad times. I love this series because it made me feel that people were good and your life was your own and your choice.

He just wanted to tell a different story he liked better. I work in the industry and witnessed that a lot of times: directors, producers and writers using a popular story and forcing it into their own ideas. Maybe to get original fans and new fans alike, but ending up irritating everyone. But he brought us these two Anne and Gilbert and I will forever be eternally grateful for that 💜🙏🏽🤗
I like this because even if it's not entirely faithful to their relationship progression I feel like the actors actually match the characters. I mean Anne is described as being pretty enough to be considered the prettiest girl at college by a small minority. It's half in her bearing and beauty of spirit but that comes through in this version too.

I never saw this second half of the movie in full and I legit didn't know that they interacted in a friendly manner in between the boat scene and this ending, I just thought they followed the books so when he touches her face I was like jeez Gilbert, BE BOLD AND MIGHTY FORCES WILL COME TO YOUR AID, eh?
