Those things are just assholes that are trying to troll you. I'd really like to see a modern horror game where the player ends up being an asshole to the ghost/demon/whatever in a fit of rage as a response lol.
I think one of the reasons this is such a successful horror game is it is SO good at making the player do things they don't want to do. It also is so good at playing with expectation. You expect certain things to happen and it builds a tension and intensity that a lot of horror games don't achieve because they're too busy trying to startle you rather than SCARE you.
Genuinely it has been SO long since a horror game made me nope so many times and so hard. Even without playing it I've had to pause and scroll to comments so many times help

DUDE I was NOT expecting this game to be this good. I’m so used to cheap scares from games now! I was trying to watch this while doing chores but I kept having to rewind it so I didn’t miss anything. Giving you a flashlight and then forcing you to keep turning it off in order to advance the game is genius and so fucking scary 😩 The setup! The eye/finger/teeth key??! The ELEVATOR SCENE!! This developer is so talented! Good grief. Consider me heckin spooked 😭 so glad you played this
This is literally every apartment building in eastern europe. I can almost smell it lol. I remember getting home as a kid and having to walk up stairs like that at night, sometimes the light would be out on a floor, sometimes it would flicker, so I'd just sprint up the stairs past that. Also nice touch with them wooden boards in the hallway, people always take out random stuff from their apartment and leave it outside for whatever reason.
Oh my GOD that was INSANELY stressful, I stopped my whole morning routine to finish it I was so captivated. I love when you feel like you have to cover your eyes and look between your fingers, like that can protect you from the spooks hahaha

Same. It's the tension of the game that makes it enjoyable. Most horror games nowawadays spam jump scares everywhere to the point where it's not enjoyable. The suspense and mystery is what a lot of people crave in horror games.

This was awesome, I loved the way that the feeling of impending doom was constant. Like something was right behind you, and your reactions were so good and I definitely felt like it would grab you at any moment.

I was pictureing actually playing it and I would be horrified trying to run to the light switches and seeing the eyes move at me. Lots of horrors are scary and have scares but this whole games atmosphere and intenisty is terrifying, even just to watch.

I've been a horror game fan for many years and have seen them all. But wow, This game was very visually impressive and had a lot of ideas that even i'd not seen before.
4:30 I kinda hoped you would've get the elevator-throwback to "Wrong Floor", because that one got stuck the exact same way in the beginning of that game - just with you inside - before falling down to the floor beneath. I think that would've creeped you out even more in that moment haha. Nice playthrough as always tho GaB! :D

I wasn't even playing this game and I was TERRIFIED the entire time. What I love, is there was never "BAM LOUD NOISE" accompanied with the scares. I HATE scares like that, because it makes me jump but then I immediately get angry. Because I didn't jump because of the scare, but the noise! I love that this developer doesn't do that. The scares are genuine. They get me to jump and nearly piss myself!! The atmosphere, the sound design. All so good!! I can't wait to see even more!!
The best thing about you playing horror games is you don’t try and over exaggerate a jump scare, like usually people scream or fall of chairs and pretend to have more of a shock than they did, whereas you’re the opposite you act brave and pretend to not have a shock which makes it 100% funnier 😂😂😂

4:30 I kinda hoped you would've get the elevator-throwback to "Wrong Floor", because that one got stuck the exact same way in the beginning of that game - just with you inside - before falling down to the floor beneath. I think that would've creeped you out even more in that moment haha. Nice playthrough as always tho GaB! :D
Games don't scare me much anymore, but this one actually has me freaked out lol. The part with the baby doll jump scare and the part where the long arm man is right behind you in the closet made me almost pee myself

I don't know why but I've watched a walkthrough of this game three different times from different TH-camrs and this was by far my favorite. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoy your gaming videos and I really appreciate it. Your gaming skills are amazing and I like how you process things. Good lighting and sound design will absolutely carry a horror game or movie
The atmosphere and suspense they build in this game is excellent. This makes the few jump scares actually great! Walking into the room with the doll on the first time in the room scared the hell out of me!

I wasn't even playing this game and I was TERRIFIED the entire time. What I love, is there was never "BAM LOUD NOISE" accompanied with the scares. I HATE scares like that, because it makes me jump but then I immediately get angry. Because I didn't jump because of the scare, but the noise! I love that this developer doesn't do that. The scares are genuine. They get me to jump and nearly piss myself!! The atmosphere, the sound design. All so good!! I can't wait to see even more!!

The best thing about you playing horror games is you don’t try and over exaggerate a jump scare, like usually people scream or fall of chairs and pretend to have more of a shock than they did, whereas you’re the opposite you act brave and pretend to not have a shock which makes it 100% funnier 😂😂😂
after this i have to rewatch some animal crossing or stardew i dunno just to chill down so i can sleep properly
