Anyone else really impressed with the person doing the subtitles? Several times, especially during the clips from the show, I was like "What tf did he say?", and somehow the captions person knew it.
Very entertaining! Thanks to the writers for sharing. And thanks for the reminder that Matthew Macfadyen deserves another Emmy (as do the writers, and everyone else associated with this astonishingly good show.) PS to the host: the comments on the Succession subreddit are much better all round than the ones on IMDB. :)
Brilliant writing! We need collaborators like this. Fearless, funny, heartbreaking storytelling that is lacking today. Thank you for respecting the audience's intelligence and not constantly telling/explaining to us why things were occurring but SHOWING us. xx
Brilliant, loved this. Very British event lol, they all have this cunning sense of humour hahahaha. Great bit at the end, now I want to see a compilation of moments of the show with the script context notes overlaid
Superb, what a watch/listen....so good to get a glimpse from the writers' side....and that direction at the end, WOW. Oh, and I really thought Jesse was reaching into his pocket to give Adam some busker's coins at the end there haha.
Seriously? The show is a masterpiece in writing, acting and comedy. They picked the absolute best actor for each character. Do you say the same about the show Atlanta? Did you say that about Moonlight? I could go on. Seriously....pick your battles, this is not it.
one of the most pointless shows ever written where every seen is just terribly dialogued and dragged on scenes of just eff this eff that. For some actors Im sure it wasnt hard for them to act such as the main actress who played the same narrative every goddamn episode. Ending was pointless. Best part of watching this show was that I didnt wait week after week for it, took me under one day to watch 4 seasons since most of the plot you can just fast forward as it was mostly pointless 90% of the episodes
The ending was so bad, the entire 4th season was basically a soap opera. Unfocused plot with no character progression or clear goals, they had no arcs and the plot was totally random. The writers totally failed this show, the first 2 seasons displayed great character work and a clear throughline and motivation for the plot and characters to follow. But what was the point of any of it? Really a big fat waste. The ending was Game of Thrones level of disappointment.
Hey I remember your comment on a Succession reaction video, small world. Just curious about why you have conveniently left out your main point from that comment, where you said that the show suddenly gets too "political" and "agenda laden", and that the writers are "riddled with Trump derangement syndrome", right at the episode where Mencken was introduced. I'm wondering if those supposed "political agendas" have in any way clouded your opinion on the show a wee bit?
One day people will realize greg and tom were the main characters the whole time
Thank you Southbank Centre and Adam Buxton for letting me perform at this panel 😬
Your playing is beautiful.
@adambuxton
Following as a result of your gorgeous playing!
One of the greatest interviews ive ever seen. That guy absolutely killed it, hysterical and insightful

"Heartbreaking". That's the key ingredient in Succession. You've put your finger right on it.
Loved this. So special to see them all together and in person. Adam (as always) was a brilliant host too.

I would love to see a movie / play on a family reunion with the Roy family.
What a treat. I don't know who adam buxton is but he hosted this very well.
Check out his podcast, he has an episode with Jesse Armstrong

You made us care intensely about the characters despite the fact that they were all awful. Quite a feat. I will always love the show.
Buckles on form here. Great show.
That was awesome. Thank you
Adam Buxton ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You're damn right. A national treasure, in a fairer world. ... There's still time!
our #1 boy
Genius writers!
My only bummed moment is they didnt do one of these in NYC where a lot of Succession takes place.
The most important question is: What is the pattern on the back of Adam's laptop?
Thank you for posting this up on youtube.

I like the interviewer but his choice of questions is a bit odd, they pretty predictably respond with "no" to almost all of them
About your business off the gimmie a shout 😅😅😅
Nothing, potato
I never thought it was meant to be funny
No diversity
blah blah blah.
@@aquablushgirl obviously not diverse !!! Says a lot about your response
Writers room was 3 men and two women 😂

So you binge watched the whole show in 1 day?
Why would you force yourself to watch 4 seasons of a show that you didn’t like? That’s just so bizarre.
The best way to watch a show and enjoy the writing is to jump through 90% of it?
You remind me of the people that fast forward through dialogue and wonder why you never understood the nuance or brilliance of the show.
You need to rethink about your life choices man

This is just a long way of you saying you didn't get it.
