Kumusta is the official or correct word in Tagalog or Pilipino dictionary. However, kamusta is widely used in the Visayas and Mindanao. They mean the same. In the Philippines it is actually not a big deal, but if you want to know the correct word in the Pilipino dictionary so it is Kumusta:)

LOL Komusta, kumusta and kamusta are all valid. Different regions say and spell it differently, but all of it are derived from the Spanish "como esta" so, anything goes really. Especially since the intermingling between different regions and language groups in the Philippines have pretty much muddled where a certain pronunciation of a certain word originated from.
