  • Today we're stripping down our parts car, the MK3 Golf, to use in the rabbit pickup project car. This involves removing some auxillary parts before pulling the engine and gearbox out and then moving on to stripping out the full interior so we can remove the complete wiring loom, which we'll need for this engine conversion on the MK1 caddy. Finally, we're removing the front and rear axles because we'll be using them for another project we have planned down the road once #thatslammedcaddy is finished.
This part of the project wasn't our favourite job to do. We loved our budget MK3 daily driver, it's the cheapest car we've ever bought and never let us down. Plus, removing the dashboard on any car is an absolute nightmare. That being said, it was fun to film and we got to work together on camera more than usual for this video. We hope you enjoy it!
